After his accidental death, Jiang Juan transmigrated as a vicious villain in a novel. The villain was always bullying the male protagonist, which resulted in his miserable end.

After passing through, Jiang Juan did not intend to torment anyone like the original owner. After gaining a second chance at life, he decided to never provoke the male protagonist and safely live the rest of his life.

But who knew, that his life was tied to the fate of the male protagonist, because of which he can feel all the pain that the protagonist suffers.

If the protagonist is in pain, he will also feel it, if the protagonist is hungry, no matter how much he eats, he will still feel dizzy from hunger as his stomach keeps on growling, and if the protagonist is dead…

Jiang Juan didn’t dare to think about it.

Just at this time, a his lackey with short eyes came to him to ask for credit, “Brother Juan, we have surrounded that kid Xie Jingxian, and are ready to teach him a lesson, see if he dares…”

Jiang Juan was furious: “Everyone stop. Don’t hurt him! If you fight him, you will end up finding it difficult to eat or even walk around.”

Next, in front of everyone’s wide eyes, the lonely protagonist was coaxed to Jiang’s house by Jiang Juan.

Jiang Juan held the protagonist’s hand and gently asked, “Axian, are you thirsty? Are you hungry? Are you tired? If you feel unhappy, I’ll ask Arang to come over and serve you as a sandbag. How would you like to vent your anger?”

Xie Jingxian was alert . He looked at Jiang Juan and said, “What’s your purpose?”

Jiang Yan sighed, “What purpose can I have. I only hope that you have a smooth life, one with no illness or disaster.” That way, I can also safely grow old.

Xie Jingxian didn’t believe it at first, but later, he said to Jiang Juan: “I understand your intention.”

Jiang Juan was greatly moved: “You finally understand.”

Xie Jingxian nodded, “I accept it.”

“Wait, what do you accept?”

Xie Jingxian, “Accept your love.”

Jiang Juan: … Brother, did you misunderstand something? I didn’t mean that!

Over all it's good, I like that even though MC was also once a top student it did not become the OP type of situation where they transmigrated then overturned and at the same time becomes the 'unparalleled' character. It's more of gradual change into a top student or better person.

Also, I guess this is one of the few story with the best, if not, then atleast better than the other story's system.
Spoiler

I mean, even though it's kinda unexpected with MC just go with the flow when he accidentally used a fireworks for 'confessing'. The system here is not totally annoying and quite helpful actually. Also, for the last part, where they met again.

[collapse]

Lastly, Idk but I just felt that the ending is quite rush. I mean, MC and ML going to university together could be lengthen into atleast 2-3 or more chapters.

that ending was so abrupt and sudden I had to double check table of contents and on NU to see if I was missing chapters. I was left a bit unsatisfied since there was a few unanswered plot lines or poor execution. That last chapter was kinda of a let down. By the end it felt less like a story and more like a recap.

While the characters could be a bit flat they did have cute moments like the class camp out. But there was just so little time for... more>> them to actually be a couple like there was some cute doting affection before they got together (like ML thrashing the competition to get the prize not to beat down his half brother but to make food for MC) but their time as an actual couple was so short. literally like the last few chapters. Even the confession was kinda of lackluster... the system kinda pushed the confession though MC did have feelings for ML, he hadn’t been fully aware unlike ML.

I don’t know if the author ran out of steam or if this is just their typical style of writing but why was the story just wrapped up in one chapter. karma for their antagonists, reunion of family, even a HEA back in the original world. Like this could have been multiple chapters/extras. There were moments that could have been fleshed out to add more substance to the story for example when ML confronted his old boss and finding out the truth behind their strange behavior/who harassed them, ML did nothing with the information or if he did it was off screen. There could have been more on screen scuffles with the half brother or the bio dad. The awkward reconnection of ML to his grandfather. The actual relationship! Or what MC told his family in his OG world because he’s just showing up with a boyfriend out of nowhere. oh yeah I almost forgot they never explained what was happening with the OG FL why was she so different than her initial appearance in the OG story. I thought it would end up with MC and her revealing to each other that they were both transmigrators or we’d find out a different girl was sent over. Her weird behavior was never fully explained and that frustrated me. <<less

I had very high expectations when I read the summary but it turned out to be just an okay story. The beginning was nice, the build up, but all of the characters felt empty. The MC and ml, as well as mc's friends, family and other side characters.

It wasn't that bad in the beginning but the confession scene and everything afterwards left me feeling as if the author got bored and just wanted to get the story done and over with.

The last 20 chapters suffer a lot from telling instead... more>> of showing, especially the ending few chapters, I felt I was reading a qt arc instead of a normal transmigration novel. It was quite disappointing seeing an interesting premise suffer from poor execution. Though the premise as well has already been done multiple times and I was expecting a unique twist to it that will somehow make it different from all the other similar stories but that didn't happen. The empathy/connection between MC and ML was somehow just forgotten or not mentioned much later in the story and I guess it just served as a convenient plot point to make MC gain interest in approaching ml.

And honestly, this was one of the worst confession scenes in all of the bl webnovels I've read so far, MC wasn't even planning to confess, it just somehow happened. And after the confession and them getting together you would have thought you'll finally be able to see their interactions/dog food but almost all of it was just skipped or barely mentioned. In the last 20 chapters more things happened than in the first 50 but because the author just crammed it all in, it felt more like reading an essay or a narrative rather than an actual webnovel.

All in all, the story was okay but I definitely don't plan on rereading it. Reading it once was already enough and it failed to meet my expectations of a fluffy romance. There was minimal angst but that's because the story lacked even the most fundamental components. If I had to describe it in only one word, it would be 'empty', mainly due to the author's writing style. I would say the story left loose ends, but it's kind of hard to explain, the author wrote the webnovel in a way that can't make you take it seriously. So even the loose ends don't feel that way since the story itself failed to make you feel invested enough to notice it, again, mainly due to telling instead of showing.

Don't read it if you're a picky person, or if you're looking for something to just pass the time or an actual good story, there are many much better alternatives. <<less

Very fluffy story. Not much drama and the romance was cute.
Spoiler

They both think they are straight (mostly MC) but slowly realize they have more than friendly feelings, it's all very pure and sweet.

[collapse]

MC:
Spoiler

shou, last one to realize how he feels 🙄

[collapse]

Innocent, warm, friendly, positive type. Not shy and straightforward, so no misunderstandings.

ML:
Spoiler

gong, realizes his feelings first

[collapse]

Cold CEO type but doesn't completely hate social interactions, just isn't used to them. Really sweet and understanding to the MC. Isn't overly stubborn about receiving help, but has his bottom line.

System:

I didn't mind the system like another reviewer did. It's purpose really is only there to be the link tying the MC and ML together with the empathy setting and to explain what was going on, otherwise MC wanted to steer clear of ML. The system was forgotten about for a big chunk of the story, author dropped the ball there. Also the HE is thanks to the system

Spoiler

they live until old age in the book world then MC goes back to his world as promised and a few months later ML shows up as himself. The system is the one that fought for this "prize" for MC, it was sweet and I don't normally like double endings like this (book world and real world)

[collapse]

This story suffered from the same fate as the authors other story, great begining and middle then rushed ending that doesn't tie up everything. It's like the author is so close to being a really great author but just keeps missing the mark, as a reader it's frustrating.

Spoiler

some extras could have cleared things up. Like the original FL, she is obviously attached to a system too, maybe one that makes her study?

MCs friend, did he ever get with the original FL or get into college?

[collapse]

Translation is cleaned up MTL, which is well done, some nuainces or explanations may be missed, but still kudos to the translator. However, I am impatient, so I went ahead and MTL'd this in a day, easy to understand only a few parts were completely confusing.

It might be cliché, but I am loving it!

The storyline is heartwarmingly sweet. While there aren't many twists and turns, its lightheartedness is truly enjoyable. I'm also glad that there are no misunderstandings or separations, which I often worry about in similar novels.

The characters, both protagonists and side characters, are also very nice. The romance is sweet and never feels forced or excessive. The friendship aspect is also written nicely. I mean, It's not often you find novels where side characters actively stand up against bullying rather than being mere... more>> bystanders. ㅠㅠ The kids in the story truly shine.

If I were to complain about something, it would be that the ending is a bit too rushed. The author could've extended it a few more chapters, as well as including some extras. I feel like I didn't have enough. <<less

Spoiler

It's a bit pity that the suffering bonded things didn't have a major changing in their live? Like it's only in a small scale and after that it just forgotten since their live is gotten smooth. Even the villajns faceslapping didn't feel satisfying.

Also, I actually forced myself to finished this because I thought there'll be some angst where Jiang Juan (the shou) in dilemma because he need to choose between his previous live or the gong. Because in the early chapters it said that his real parents is quite important to him But nah, he straight a*s just choose the gong after talking to system

It's an okay read. Not spectacular but good enough to be read until the end.

It just, some parts it's draggy and then the rushed ending. I wish to have more glimpse to their daily life after being together tho, or how's their life as an adult or how they come out closet with MC parents. It has much potential to be explored but it ends just like that.

Ok, I ain't gonna talk shit...

This novel is gooodd! At first, I only read this coz the summary seems interesting and boy, it did not let me down. It's the type of novel that is extremely fluffy and funny. Although the villain in the story is sooo s*upid that I sometimes find him pitiful (⌐■-■)

The ending is a bit rushed but considering other novels who completely forgot some important info in the story, this novel's ending is already deemed acceptable ┐ (´ (エ) `) ┌.

As I thought, the author really has good ideas! They've improved a lot but their end-pacing is still a problem ahhhh

I read this novel after reading the author's earlier work, Dressed as a Stand-in for the White Moonlight, and I've said in a review there that the author's ideas are commendable but their story-telling and pacing needed some work. I've observed in this novel that the author's story-telling had improved (which made me proud) and the pacing was good until we got to the later chapters ーspecifically Chapter 67... more>> onwards.

This novel is actually highly enjoyable and very sweet. The MC and ML are very lovable characters, and so are the side characters. There's a certain depth to the characters, which is also a factor on why this novel is great.

It's just that as I said, the pacing had problems starting from Chap. 67. This is when the story is at its top (a.k.a. climax) and then we were supposed to be directed to a good conclusion... Now, the conclusion is good, it's a happy ending... But... The road to that happy ending was a straight-dive ー Meaning, it happened so fast that the readers got whiplash. It was so abrupt that instead of savoring the journey, the author summarized the story from the climax to conclusion.

One reviewer said that the author got bored and wanted to just end the story... And I agree with this reviewer. Still, I'm looking forward to the author's next works and I really really hope that they'll improve their pacing.

I really want to recommend this to other readers but I'm also reluctant to recommend this because of the pacing of the later chapters. Other than that, there's really not much problem in this novel.

An overall score of 4.4/5 for this novel is what I feel it should merit to. It really could be higher but... You know 😂. <<less

it feels very breezy /not the refreshing kind, but the kind where everything passes by so fast I could only think "ehhh?"

i kinda like the ML though, he was closed off but gentle. He originally didn't want to care about his bio dad and his family (he even wanted to take revenge). But idk whether he had a change of heart I wasn't aware of (i read mtl) or the author just genuinely forgot (looool), he ended up not taking any revenge so this is not a novel for those... more>> who like face-slapping galore. <<less

MC a typical gentle cute shiny friendly sunlight for ML I guess. I don't dislike him but I don't like him either. There aren't many impressions of him for me.

ML is a typical cold and unfriendly with a tragic past and family problem person but somehow he's only good to MC and trust the MC easily even tho he has some trust issues.

side characters are kinda empty, the bullies are kinda brainless (they try to bully ML with some unreasonable reasons for example they think ML steal their girls cuz... more>> he's good looking). Other side characters are not interesting so no comments. (The truth is I just can't remember their names)

Also I don't like the system thing in this novel, it's like the author just put it in so the novel can have a "system" (it actually doesn't make anything better tho)

Spoiler

the ending felt very rushed and there were a lot of loose ends. Author could have extended it a bit, even if they don't show the university life of the ML and MC. Also the surprise of 088 at the end wasn't explained well. If ML was brought to MC's og world does he have a background there or smth 🤨? And what's up with og FL? In the end there's no explanation as to why she acted that way 🤔I just felt it's a waste for the story to end at 70 chapters when there's still a lot of plot holes left 🤷‍♀️

It starts of good. The MC didn't appear s*upid and airheaded at the beginning stages of the novel. Sadly, as time goes on and the more he interacted with the ML, he's molding into the Gary Stue character template that MCs in BL novels have. He's suddenly cheerful (which was not the case before), his delicateness was mentioned a few times and other minor details.

The story is more of a slice of life and has some slow burn elements in the beginning but it has a very rushed ending. Not... more>> tasteful at all.

Overall, it didn't make me cry or make me angry. I don't think having a system is necessary for this novel because it has almost no purpose. <<less

It's not the worst of the high school genre, but it's very boring because of the lack of content. There's little to nothing going on, progress is very stretched over the course of several chapters because of sparse plot.

I agree with the comment about telling rather than showing, some parts of the novel that shows the ML's prowess suffers because of this.

But it's alright I guess? If you just want to find something to breeze through, this one won't stick out but it's something to do to pass time.

It has... more>> an immature kind of feel, it's not too apparent but you can tell by most of the plot points that the author's not too mature. But it's nothing bad/wrong, the only thing that's lacking is just the content. It's boring and lacklustre, but it's fine I guess! <<less

How do I say it... This story is nothing interesting. It's very, very cliché, so much so that even a person like me who loves clichés got bored. The ending is so abrupt, don't get mistaken, just because it's 70 chapters doesn't mean it doesn't drag. It's all because the things that should've taken like 15 chapters+ to write got smashed into one chapter. I'm not kidding, read the last chapter yourself and if you don't feel like the author got bored by their story and decided to post the... more>> summary of the rest of the story then I'll change my surname.

The progression as well as the pacing is all over the place. All characters are 2d, even the main characters. There is no depth to them. At all. The plot is nothing new, the writing style is very boring and the current rating of 4.2 stars is utterly wasted on this book. I personally liked the other story ofthe author more; even though that story suffered through similar problems, it was offset by the interesting plot as well as the fact that the ending wasn't as rushed as this one.

Then why did I give this 3 stars? I mean, 3 stars is not bad, considering that it gets a score of 60 out of 100. That's because while this novel was filled with many clichés, "everybody is evil" wasn't one of them. The dog blood was limited to a bare minimum. The system, while absent most of the time, was a pretty nice one, considering that it tried to help the MC in its own clumsy way. The fl, who could've been like other fls in such stories, was a breath of fresh air. The characters were bland but they mostly weren't mindlessly evil, and I prefer normal bland to evil bland all the way.

I also liked the fact that this story's updates were really fast. Even if this was cleaned up mtl and there were quite a few errors, the translator genuinely tried to give their best. I appreciate that.

There's also personal reasons why I didn't hate this story. While as a reader I am angry about the rushed ending, as a writer I am inspired. I am one of those people who can plan out a story, start writing it, and then give up halfway just because they were bored, and then get cursed by my readers for abandoning the story. Reading this story, I was like *shocked pikachu face* you can do itlike that?! Needless to say, I believe in completing the story even if the quality tapers off to a 1 from a solid five, because when you are a writer, your writing skills or ability to think up of a story isn't what's most important, the important thing is to stay strong and complete the story. A lot of people have good writing skills but actual writers are not even half of that number because not everybody has the dedication to complete writing a story. <<less

It was a nice change of pace from the plot-heavy novels that are full of questionable morals, kidnapping plots, amnesia, and the like. I recommend it as a palette cleanser, it's a great read as you find your next novel. The system isn't overly involved here and the OG!FL isn't too important.
