gonna give it a 4.5 at most really. Novel was really great and there were some things that were refreshing and new- the couple was hilarious a lot of times and the plot really developed well but for some parts, maybe just me, but I felt like some of the plot was dragged out and some were rushed- or maybe its just cause I was looking for certain side characters. Overall, I really liked it.

If you ever read one of the "transmigrated to the stone age" novels, then you've pretty much read this one as well.

At the beginning it was still a bit unique because MC didn't somehow know how to make/do very different things that just happen to be useful in a primitive society.
No, he actually needed the help of these primitive people to figure out most of it, he only explained how something looks and works and they tinkered around until they got it right.
Refreshing.
ML was mediocre instead of super-OP and MC had no golden finger.

Now at chapter 100, ML is overpowered as hell, MC has a golden finger and managed to become sparkly-special.
So, exactly like it has been done in every single novel with this trope.

The writer tends to be long-winded, explains simple things in great detail, and didn't come up with a single new idea or at least twist.
Quite the opposite, I've seen the same "mystery" in another novel with this trope.

It's important to point out that the writer seems to write solely for attention, it's the first time I've seen a writer on jjwxc blatantly begging for comments, bookmarks, etc.
And it shows. It's a cookie-cutter novel that uses everything that worked well for other writers and never strays from that path.

If you like this trope, then the novel will probably be to your liking because (as far as I can tell from skimming over the last 100+ chapters) there's at least nothing forced in the CP's romance.
That makes it better than many other "primitive society" novels – I guess.

Liked the progress, they go weak to strong, and the trust they have for each other that they have from the very start. Description of the human faced birds creeped me out a bit and I like how it ended. 4.5 overall score. The scene where Lu Zhan was trying to escape school was 😂 hilarious.

Like it a lot... However, the ending chapters are rushed to say the least

There is a lot of climax built into the old shaman and his plot to exterminate the mermaid race... not fully explained though... but he ends up being defeated by the man-faced bird king who literally only appeared at the end, and easily too (at least I consider it so)... which is fine but it was not satisfactory for me. I wish more tribe development would have been discussed after they returned back to their tribe but it's nice to know there is cub between the MC/ML. Even the cure about ML dad (mermaid), explaining that would have been nice. Also... well there are many things I would have like to be more flushed out but I really enjoyed the story. Don't hesitate to read!

I like this a lot. I only read this to lighten my mood after reading another dark story, but ended up binge reading this story, and mtl it until the end.

I like the MC's character. He's a normal human being, that tried his hardest to live in this new primitive n hard world. Hes not strong or OP, but he definitely train and work hard to strive in the dangerous world, and to protect his loved one. His relationship with the ML is also not forced and seems natural (maybe... more>> a lil unromantic), but I feel like its better because it flows naturally.

The ML is also not OP. He also doesnt overpowered the MC's presence. I liked it how he doesnt have big ambitions like other ML who seek more power and was contented with building and growing their own lil tribe slowly.

The world building flows nicely without wasting much time with filler chapters.

However, the ENDING is totally rushed. I feel like the author can write for 150 chapter more before the end, but maybe something happens and they had to rush it in 3 chapter. A lot of plot that can be explained more are closed with an open ending sentence. I really want to knows more about

5. That special mother tree's revival. And how it is used...

6. More romantic connection between the MC and ML..
