Interesting start, give it a try if you like DBZ universe. MC is born with mid level talent, though it won't stop him progressing faster than high level one due to his DB knowledge. My only gripe is that the MC and his sister are not named after vegetables.

Good book even ends after the tournament of power but assuming this author started writing this before tournament of power MC only knows the stuff before that but his future knowledge only last so long as he changes things so its more... more>> so information on DBZ Characters and there powers that help him great book could have been longer in my opinion ending seem rushed other then that great book hope for more DBZ Fanfictions :) <<less

Some people rate this low for just their dissatisfaction of disruption in dragon ball world but if you see this from an enjoyment and fan fiction point of view it is an excellent novel. I won't say much, I wrote this review just for my little contribution for the undeserved low rating of this novel.

It's okay. It's a Dragon Ball SI fic. If you like Dragon Ball and power levels, you'll probably like this fic.

It's... not bad. Like, there's no harems or bashing, and the power levels and everything feel consistent with Dragon Ball. But I'm not seeing much that stands out as good. It is flavored with munchkin, so if you like that sort of stuff, then sure.

When reading the translations, I heard this was not a great example of the author's writing prowess. At the time, I did not agree. After reading the rest though, I would have to agree. The story when it can explain its concepts is a decent enough story. The problem occurs when it starts to touch upon concepts alien to the original concept the author devised. I doubt these were there when the story was initially planned. As a result, the author's weaknesses become more pronounced. The fighting scenes are not... more>> enjoyable and many characters in the last section were not illustrated well enough to understand what is happening. By the time I reached the end, I was just wanting to see the number of chapters left hit zero. The story had a good start but it is a shame it did not stick to the landing. <<less

This was a good fanfic ngl, at least in the beginning 200-300 chaps (which I rate 4 stars). You'll get hooked most likely. But after reading it at this point, 3 stars at best lol. The reason is that in the later chapters (after around 400-500 chaps) it starts to become boring and shallow and of course More Xianxia.

Not that it wasn't before but now it's like every chapter you read about how bad the super saiyan transformations are (even though the MC himself achieved it), that same old... more>> foundation sh*t but now its like every 5 sentences, how badly every character except our MC and his OC b*tches and kids sucks so whatever they achieve others can't (including goku and vegeta lmao) and of course THE MC and his deteriorating personality.

The MC was good at the start but later as he grows more and more powerful, he becomes a pretentious f*ck. I mean, sure you're powerful and all that but atleast don't act like it was all you. MC did nothing but follow in goku's (and somewhat gohan's) steps until well, he turned ssg. After which I'll admit that the author brought up really interesting power system.

But it's annoying how even though he copied from gohan and goku, had a 12 years lead AND knew about the events that will happen in the future (not mentioning the number of times he's gotten help from others), acts like this aloof god-level expert who puts no one in his eyes. As if he achieved all of this on his own.

Another thing is that the author makes the MC acts on his whims and then ofc you have those dumb moments like you always do with almost every chinese web-novel MC i.e, he becomes ret*rded from time to time.

Ofc, thats not mentioning how later with increase in power, the amount of times "he didn't care" or "it had nothing to do with him" or "he's too aloof/above all this" the author puts to show how "uncaring" our MC is and how shocked everyone is again and again and again cuz he's god now. Like seriously, dude we get it.

Also in the later part of the story, him and the other OCs become so powerful that it's disgusting. Like REALLY DISGUSTING.

Ofc there are few more things too but these are the ones I found really annoying.

Overall, I'd say it's still worth it. At least until 500 something chaps (personal opinion). I only didn't like the MC mostly. And if you're a dragon ball fan, you'll probably like it. It's worth your time as the author does make the story a lot more interesting even if you know it all. Hence, I will recommend this 50%. <<less

The translator is really dedicated to this story, although there are a ton of grammar problems, if you're used to reading translations then you are already used to these translation issues. The reason I mention anything about the translator at all is because he has been really pushing for those good reviews and I wonder if that slightly inflated the true rating of this story a bit.

as for the story I give it 3.5 stars. The problem is the author despite being a fan of the Dragonball series gets a... more>> few facts wrong and while that really isn't much of an issue for me. The type of hardcore Dragonball fan that does read this story will definitely be turned off by that.

Spoiler

for example for the start of the story our MC decides to cut off the sayian tail, which is kinda a big deal for someone raised on planet vegeta, because the tail is a symbol of pride for the sayians. Unfortunately, the author doesnt acknowledge that and basically deletes the concept of the sayian tail from the story. You honestly entirely forget they even have tails just because it is rarely mentioned. Its a real shame because he had a very real opportunity to master the ape form in a way that goku never had a chance to do and he just refuses to use it.

[collapse]

another problem is that the story is inconsistent in entertainment value sometimes the story is really good and entertaining while other times its just really boring and a slog to read thru.

the grammar mistakes from the translator can also make the story confusing to read, which is constantly breaking your immersion. But this a pretty common complaint with translated stories like this. For example humans dont refer to earthlings specifically but rather any human-like alien and it can get confusing when characters are calling our sayain MC a human.

as for my personal take, I really enjoyed the story and read thru all of it but it took me quite a while and I know many readers quit pretty early on due to the previously mentioned flaws. <<less

Great novel with all the characters we loved so much watching while growing up. The story takes place on a parallel multiverse of the DragonBall multiverse where our MC is reborn as a Shayan. As a great fan of the Dragon Ball story our MC has most of the future knowledge which keeps using to his advantage in order to become stronger and be able to protect all the people he cares about. His goal..... The Strongest Legend of Dragon Ball!!!!

A really nice dragon ball fiction without a doubt. Follows mainly db, dbz and dbs elements but also integrate movies and dbgt and side stories really nicely. Power level scaling is pretty good also the dragon ball world is well developed. But you may wonder why I give this a three star well there are some glaring deficiencies that I just can't ignore -

  1. The two wives although they are nice as characters but their situation is pretty annoying, while MC have to suffer and toil for opportunities to get stronger he practically shares each and every single one of them with his wives, resulting in a situation where he is practically carrying them, my back and wallet hurts just reading about it, MC gets 1 breakthrough with so much suffering while wifies get 3-4 breakthrough and almost keep up with him because he adamantly drags them with him.
  2. The ending quarter of the story is just rushed and a colossal mess.
  3. MC while is generally smart, again not a genius but smart which is actually quite nice but sometimes he just acts like a deer stuck in headlights despite knowing some stuff. I think readers should definitely give it a try but skim through the ending quarter.

Feels like what Dragon Ball would be like if it became a novel. While some people are complaining about the Battle Power thing, I don't think it's that bad. Besides
Spoiler

It is only used until he becomes a god

. Overall, quite good, with non-stop action. It also makes you really anticipate the moment he breaks through.

I love dragon ball and love this story that takes an alternate route from the original storyline and new characters. But at this pace, the author will have to generate new villains too.

Incredibly simple-minded. I haven't watched the anime, but I assume that it matches. Had to drop it at c43, just couldn't take the simple-mindedness anymore. It was like reading about very young children playing with dolls.

It's a quite annoying seeing MC get Space&Time superpower out of nowhere, the way he gets it is s*upid with unconvincing reasons it's what you would call 'Bullshitting' nowadays and then he also mastered it so fast and too easy... welp fine i'll still take that, but then the way it was used becomes so illogical and very dumb, author doesn't bother applying logical approach and just lazily allowing MC to do various shits without any deeper logic behind it. For example: MC can cut space using that Space superpower... more>> but suddenly be becomes capable of using 'Space Storage' by just merely cutting space and putting them inside, if he did that wouldn't those items remain in 'that' isolated space and wouldn't be with him?? but nope, for some reason the 'Space' powers here works like those Storage from System novels and Gamer novels.

There's also the power that can stop time which had no explanation at all, for some reason he can stop time, no attemp in logic at all.

Also the translation is really bad. It's sentences used has lots of double meanings, I looked at the raws and find out there's so many parts lost in translation in the story. CAN'T & HAVEN'T in the raws was translated as COULD & HAVE respectively. So translators pretty much doesn't know what "contractions" is. So even if you read the TL, 10% of the story pretty much got lost when being translated. <<less

Anyone who hates this fanfiction is an idiot. One of the best stories I've read in a while. The MC is strong but not overpowered. Though he becomes overpowered later on in the story but not to the point he can one shot everyone.

What really made me love this story is the fact that the author inserted an OC MC into the story, yet cannon characters like Goku and Vegeta still becomes relevant in the story and they both also becomes OP but not as strong as our MC.

The fact... more>> that other Saiyans survived and are living their life in this story makes it very much enjoyable. I like how the author still finds opponents for the Z fighters even with the MC around. And I especially love the fact that the power system in this story has been broken down to level and realms and not just random like it is in cannon.

Like super Saiyan blue came out of nowhere in the cannon but this story brought out its own unique theory on how Super Saiyan blue came about. I also love that our MC didn't follow the same steps of cannon Goku's power and transformation, but rather have its own unique transformation and explanation for each power.

  1. And I have to commend the author for The way he brought in all the DB movies, DB seasons, DB GT and DB heroes and matched them together and the story still becomes interesting. Honestly, I love this fanfiction and I recommend reading it.

I tried to enjoy this story, but I couldn't root for the protagonist. The thing is, generally, Saiyan's are culturally sociopathic. The MC, while having a few scruples from his previous incarnation as a human doesn't slaughter Earthlings, or some other prominent DBZ races, but he totally commits genocide a few times early in the story and saves his race of sociopath Saiyans (who, if we are honest, the universe was better off without, half-breed humans/saiyans and amnesiacs aside). The overall lack of a goal beyond "get stronger" and "beat... more>> the DBZ villains" is a bit weak and leaves me feeling like the story is merely a more OP Goku stand-in... if a reader wanted that, they could just read or re-read some DBZ manga.... I feel this story isn't providing much "new" content that is compelling. <<less

To be honest, I very much liked this novel for a while, but like any chinese author out there, they transform ALL FANFICS to have a xianxia/xianhuan vibe, be it a japonese anine, or even sone marvel/dc nedia.

(Un) Fortunetly, the problem mentioned above is not really as annoying in this book, but I understand that if you want to get rid of this things, as a teanslator you will need to literally rewrite the entire fanfic to get rid of xianxia troops.

From time to time, there are elements in... more>> this fanfic thats litterally making the world an AU, and you can overpower king yama?!?!?

If you are able to ignore this book and are mostly reading out of boredom, then its a great fanfic to pass the time <<less

Really been enjoying the OC and the alternate timeline he has created; the author did a good job of having 'inevitable' events happen or alter according to the OC's actions without making it all too unbelievable. The OC is a bit OP at times, but not more so than Goku ever was in the series.

With all the bad things this novel has it's still one if not the best Dragon Ball fan fiction that I know of. Did the author make some mistakes, hell yeah (the hero sometimes has "error 404 :D") but if you are a DB fan you will be able to get past it and enjoy the read. The only downside is that the release for the translated chapters is quite low. My rating is because I'm a huge Dragon Ball fan and there isn't anything better (that I know of).... more>> So... if you are a fan like me you might want to read it but if not.... <<less

This is a very chill novel, it's fun to read and you don't have to be worried about any drama that makes you hate any of the enemies. The enemies are just there to die.

A very good novel to pass your time with. The good thing about this novel is that there are no annoying villains that makes you want the MC to kill them but is unable to until 100 chapters later or having a useless female lead. As of chapter 326, there has been no situation where any... more>> of the MC girls are captured or forced to have a forced marriage with someone so you don't need to have to worry about being pissed off at the enemies. <<less

This is a pretty fun exploration of the DBZ verse. I say verse because for most of the chapters (up to the 200s or so) our MC is having his own adventures with little impact on earth. It has most of the hallmarks of a chinese webnovel, but still does justice to the DBZ world. I've been enjoying it and from other reviews I'll keep enjoying it. Sure, it has mistakes and errors, but not enough to say it's bad. I look forward to each update.
