Uhhh I read the raws and it seems like after chapter 29 it's basically a bait and switch.

Everything before chapter 30 is very well written with a very engaging protagonist and a very well-defined world. It's certainly not the most realistic in some points but it makes a very respectable effort resulting in a very interesting take of the dungeons in the modern world cliche. The protagonist is also very likable and charismatic, he acts just like a king like he's described in the novel.

Then we get to chapter 30... more>> where they suddenly change the POV to that of a random tamer highschool girl and all the new characters are so basic and boring. It's especially maddening because chapter 29 ended with a hugh cliffhanger. The new protagonist doesn't have the same charm the original protagonist does, in fact they have no charm as all; literally a basic bit*h character that goes along with everything other people say due to peer pressure. The author also added the

undead protagonist

tag, so the Japanese readers put 2 and 2 together (the tag and the new tamer protagonist) and they hate it. I think it could've been fine but the new story line is just so goddamn boring.

So yeah, just a warning for you to curb your expectations. I'd recommend reading up to chapter 29 or 28 and stopping. Just leave the rest to your imagination tbh. <<less

The translator dropped this novel at chapter 21, and after reading the summary of the next chapters, I can't blame him, the story really drops off a cliff after there, read the other review if you want to ne spoiled.

The novel was a 4.5 stars at the beginning, good world building and character development, but it's not worth it after that point

Fascinating story.

Its early, but writer already give readers quite good impression of the characters in the story.

The story itself (c20+) already in one of its earliest critical plot, I hope writer will not pull some short of mediocre typical Japanese wn/ln problem solver with the help of thicc plotlines, if writer do that I hope it will be done in interesting way.
