[The battlefield belongs to women. Men should stay out of it.] This is the era when the Vurdians, an extraterrestrial intelligence, rule the galaxy. Hokuto Kisei, an ace pilot from Earth, uses his exceptional piloting skills to drive the humanoid mobile weapon “Striker” as a mercenary.

On the battlefield, he is a warrior, but when he gets off the plane, he is nothing more than a poor man from Earth. Will there ever be a day of rest for Terusei, who is being targeted (sexually) by the Vurds, who have a high s*x drive and physical ability?

Normally I wouldn't rate something until I've read quite a bit of it. This is just so bad I can't continue reading

Space combat in humanoid mechs but his favorite weapon is a pile bunker. He solos fleets by himself just cus he's super awesome.

His enemy has commited genocide on multiple planets but he still doesn't kill their pilots and just incapacitates their battleships. Cus Japanese people are super nice and killing is bad. Then those same pilots he saved hop into new mechs and fight him again, or kill his... more>> allies. The author makes up an excuse for this but still, it's incredibly lame to read. He's the the only dude around in a universe dominated by women. Most men are stay at home dads. So every woman wants him. He's too weak and frail to have s*x with these super women though. It's just so, so bad. <<less

Even for someone who likes gender reversal there is very little to like here. The typical nonsense of no killing which makes no sense if you are a mercenary. Even a soldier who is serving the country he is working for doesn't kill. Mind this is when they are fighting against an empire that is carrying out genocide. Pure kiddy shite. How is this a seinen?

He always targets the engines which is supposed to be amazing and surprising and his enemies always remark that he should target the bridge since... more>> that would be a better target. Now if the most important part of the ship, ie the bride is easier to target than other parts of the ship then you should change the damn design and protect your officers. The commanding officers also go into battle which is another error. The Romans and Greeks already told use where the general should be. There are also lots of battleships but if some mech/fighter thing can take out a battleship (no idea about the sizes of these things or the crew or the armaments since the author neglected this info) why don't use just build an aircraft carrier and send swarms of mechs? There was some justification that high spech mechs are prohibitively expensive but more expensive than a battleship? <<less

A tale for children without eggs. So a silly story with a supposed romance in the women's empire. I do not recommend zero imagination, even a s*upid story for children. No logic and no realism. Avoid that, you risk IQ problems. A mercenary who destroys only machines without killing pilots in a war between empires. S*upidity and naivety overflows the story. The author is either naive or a fagot to write a war story without killing. I apologize if this story is for children with IQ 10. Or for preschoolers... more>> because I do not see any other alternative. My rating -50/5 <<less

Just like any "chastity reversal" novel without wet scenes, there's no reason to read it.

By chapter 2 there are already character/setting inconsistencies. It really feels weird that a veteran ace pilot would be unable to handle a couple of regular soldiers harassing him and just stand there awkwardly until rescued, for instance. And then be supremely confident that as long as he has a pile bunker on his mech he can handle any number of enemies. With his mentality, it feels like the moment he went up against a woman... more>> in battle, he should be unable to fight back, and a smart enemy commander would have her soldiers just sexually harass him without trying to hurt him, grab his mech, and gently capture him, and he would just sit there and take it.

Of course, that's not how it will turn out, but it's really dumb to plop a man into a battlefield where all the soldiers are women, and make said man unable to fight against women unless they're in mechs. And put a man in a world where all the women are sexually active and interested in him, but make him unable/unwilling to respond to them appropriately. Especially considering he's been dealing with this situation for a while before the start.

Now, maybe the heroines are great. Maybe the battles are great. Maybe the politics are great. I highly doubt it based on the opening few chapters, but it's possible. The issue is that the protagonist has already become someone not worth reading about, and the setting has already been ruined. In just a few chapters. <<less

i can only feel disappointment

like other reviews have already covered, this is a novel with reversed chastity common sense, but without the "deeds"

it's like you are trying to play baseball but the ball is missing

other than that, the story is alright even if it can get overly generic and cliched at times... well, at least enough for me not to give this a 1 star

The premise sounded interesting.
TLDR: Story is so linear it becomes super boring super quickly. Its the rinse and repeat scenarios over and over again. There is no tough battles no suspenseful scenarios nothing. Its so bad calling it garbage would be an insult to garbage. At least garbage was useful at some point priot to turning into garbage. Im amazed this even got to 300 chapters.

I honestly tried to read faster just to see if anything changes and no it doesn't. I was honestly hoping at around ch 97... more>> that he would die in battle like the old gundam animes where they change MC part way through. At least that would make it more interesting. Idk who actually rated it 5*s but pls refund that rating, ur only scamming people's reading times. <<less

Description + 10 first chap : death by snu snu

After 250 chap : Kei Mizuryu with chasity belt attached.

... more>> Long ver

The MC has personality disorder. The one inside c*ckpit is a bloodthirsty warmonger seeking his own death while the one outside is a yes-who*e spreading legs for any superior gene nearby. Yes, the author trying to make MC be like otokonoko but failed and the product we get is just a crossdressing mesu. And the mesu in this novel, at first the author portraited them as "space amazoness" race but couldnt do it so the standard drop down to " h**ny fangirl " level, with chasity belt attached to them. Also they all have shota fetish ; doubt that author own fetish.

World building, foundation, background story etc etc just in single color, shallow. <<less

I'm going to go against the grain and give this a higher score. I'm torn between a 4 and 4.5. Unfortunately I don't seem to be able to change my score so it will probably show as 5. The thing that should be understood first is the kind of story that this is. This story was written by an author who wanted to write what he considered fun. Take a look at the title and tags on the Japanese site this was originally posted on, and then think about the... more>> premise to try and understand what you'll be reading.

Title: The Story of An Ace Pilot Who Is the Only Man In the Alien Army Where Chastity has Been Reversed.

Tags (Google translated, sorry) : Robot/Reversal of the Concept of Chastity/Space Opera/Love Comedy/War Record/Strongest Hero.

Looking at the title and tags you already know what kind of story this is.

It's a light-hearted story about an OP MC who is unmatched in the c*ckpit of a mecha. If you don't mind some light spoilers about the premise,

Spoiler

The MC is a human mecha mercenary who gets hired to work for a country of cat people on the losing side of a war to another country of cat people. The cat people are several times as strong and durable as humans, so the only place the MC can match them is in the c*ckpit. The MC has a personal belief of only crippling his enemy's ships and mecha instead of killing them (most other characters do kill people and MC doesn’t complain). Also the cat people have a 10:1 ratio of females to males or something crazy like that. They also outnumber most races in the galaxy by, like, 10, 000:1 so it’s mostly cat people running around. That's the kind of story this is. If you haven’t been turned away yet and can overlook the MC's no kill rule for himself then this is probably the kind of story you’ll enjoy.

Characters 8/10 (No Spoilers) :

Spoiler

The characters are both nothing to write home about and yet a lot of fun at the same time. The heroines are all charming in their own ways and very distinct. I don’t think a single one of them is unlikeable. In terms of varied personalities the roster definitely rates highly. The main character has a bit more of a voice than your usual JP harem MC in a story like this, but he’s still, well, the best way to describe him is that he’s one of the better slices of pie available; yet at the end of the day you’re still eating pie. But he has a personality at least, as well as plenty of funny and interesting interactions with different characters so I don’t want to rag on him too much. The main complaint I have about the characters is that I feel like I needed more from pretty much all of them; as the cast grows the author does his best to make sure they all get decent screen time, but it left me with the feeling that we lost out on some depth as a result. Still, the heroines are top notch in this story.

Also the way one of the villains is handled is about as good as you will ever see from a work like this that tries to tackle such a situation. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Bonding Scenes 9/10 (No Spoilers) :

Spoiler

The bonding scenes in this story are solid. My only complaint is that there aren’t more and I will touch more on that later. The story touches on themes like the differences between human and cat-wolf person culture. The main character and vuld characters occasionally struggle to understand each other sometimes because of this. It’s not a major theme, but when the story does touch on the topic it is always interesting to read about and watch the characters grow past the issues alongside each other.

Overall the different kinds of bonding scenes (both romantic and friendly) are some of the story’s biggest strengths. A character like Prince Ao will be introduced and within two chapters of talking to the MC I’m hoping that he’ll never leave.

Ecchi Scenes 7/10 (No Spoilers) :

Spoiler

Not as many as you would expect despite the ecchi tag. However the ones that are present are wonderful. There are some funny ones but all the serious ones are too short. The lead-up into the ecchi scenes are usually well done and some of them are even pretty romantic. The follow ups are often lackluster, though. There are a wide and fun variety of characters as well so by the end you’ll find that one of them hits your tastes.

[collapse]

Ecchi scenes (Spoilers) :

Spoiler

Contrary to what you've read in other reviews, this guy does indeed have s*x. At least twice. The actual s*x is skipped though; there's only leadup and aftermath. But the aftermath is sweet.

Battles 8/10 (No Spoilers) :

Spoiler

Fun, varied setpieces and action sequences. Varied setpieces is one of the most important and difficult factors when you’re writing about space battles of any kind (but especially mecha) and I was surprised to see this novel stick the landing on this point.

The battle sequences take a large variety of factors into account. Technological disparity, cultural differences, morale, class, political affiliation, etc. When something happens in a battle in this story you don’t have to handwave anything. The tactical and strategic decisions made are all wonderful and not forced. Aside from the MC’s personal aversion to killing, the actual battles seem incredibly plausible.

The only negative about the battles is the lack of tension: the “strongest hero” tag and premise that the MC was hired specifically to turn the war around on his own should tell you about how often it seems like he’s actually in danger. Furthermore while the battles themselves are great the MC has no huge personal stake in the war so there isn’t really a source of emotional tension for him in battle either. The lack of tension is a real mood killer. Some of the battles are very kinesthetic but then are brought down heavily by failing to get people invested in them.

The story was clearly written by a cultured mecha fan. There is a lot of care given to the smaller details for how mecha work and fight in space. It’s clear the author is a huge mecha fan. Everything from mentioning view cameras, the differences between human and vuld mecha design, limited weapon ammunition, disposable fuel boosters for long distance traversal, how often the author pays attention to weapon penetration, etc, all of it shows that the author is a fan of both real robot and super robot.

[collapse]

Setting 7.5/10 (No Spoilers) :

Spoiler

Similar to the battles, the actual setting of the story is usually interesting. The planets and places the story takes place are varied. Empty space, burnt out ships, dense asteroid fields, underground tunnels, forests of trees dozens of meters tall, trade planets, and more. The differences between Nored and the Calencian Empire aren’t a focus but when they’re brought up they are always interesting. The differences between vuldish and human culture are great. They’re always present and consistent in the background but it’s only as the main character gets to know the people around him more that you truly understand how different vuld are from humans despite looking so similar. I only give it a 7.5/10 because there are several times where I felt like exploring some of these ideas even deeper was given a backseat to more battles.

[collapse]

Ending (No Spoilers) 7/10:

Spoiler

The ending is a little rushed, I think. The last 70 or so chapters are one large battle with a few chapters of downtime at best. The battle itself isn’t so bad; it’s chock full of solid character moments, good humor, and wonderful, varied setpieces which any mecha fan will know is important and tricky to get right. The individual mecha engagements are great as well. But despite all of this and the fact that the battle is EIGHTY chapters long there’s the sense that the author is either burning out or just rushing to the end of the story.

Despite the battles being great, one of the biggest things people want to see are fun interactions with the different side characters. The last third of the story is fairly lacking with this, in spite of plenty of care being given to this beforehand. A little more downtime would have been well worth its welcome. Second, there are a few things that get forgotten about and it’s the first time the author sets something up and forgets about it during the entire story. The Hounds, for example. You’ll know it if you read. Finally, there should have been a little more downtime at the very end of the story as well, to give the characters involved a good send-off. Another four or five chapters at least would have been great. To finish things so quickly after the final battle was really strange and probably resulted in me dropping the ending by two whole points.

If you want a story to binge and pass the time, give it a try. Always take reviews on this site with a grain of salt as many of them exaggerate or misinterpret their criticism of the story. That’s why I never read reviews first and I go in blind unless the story is so bad that I need to know if it’s worth it to continue.
The story does have flaws but it wasn’t unreadable. If you want a novel to read since you have nothing to do, here... more>> it is. <<less

I tried to like this. I really did. But, unfortunately, no amount of suspension of disbelief will allow me to like this. This series is incredibly bland. I mean, both the MC, and the supporting characters are so incredibly lifeless and lacking in personality that the author must've been binging on some kind of drug c*cktail, washed down with copious amouts of spirits in order to even consider writing this train wreck. The only good thing about this series is that the translation is good. Well, I guess that could... more>> also be a bad thing since unfortunate souls like myself will try and read it <<less

I started the series bc it seemed interesting as a premise, but the author can't seem to stick to an idea or concept and it feels like they'll jump from one thing to another as it interests them. Oh he uses a pile driver as his signature weapon, only really relevant in the beginning, and an after-thought later.

The "Aliens", quotes bc their basically just anime cat girls with various flavors that are so under emphasized I kinda forgot they were supposed to have non human features at all really. But... more>> these aliens are a matriarchal race and society, with their men basically being twinks and they see the typical human man as a "gorilla", ok I guess. Oh and the women are also all mostly seen as s*x fiends, who happen to give off aphrodisiacs through their kiss that can FORCE men to lose control of themselves... So they can drug people with a kiss, and they are willing and capable of disregarding the line called consent... which they eventually do. It's why I stopped reading where I did, they crossed a line and then just kinda brushed it under the rug. There is a strong R word for it, that I am avoiding writing because I don't know if this review would get taken down because of it, and I feel like it is an important warning to include.

That's the bad and the ugly, there is more, but there are also some decent things the series does that can be worth mentioning.

Their stronger than men of their own race as well as human men. Cool, the author actually incorporates that fairly well, from how their mechs aren't built to the same specs as human ones and are subject to more G-forces, to how it depicts that men are more vulnerable in an environment surrounded by these... mindsets let's call them.

There were certain... perspectives that this story can give, given the role reversal of genders and stereotypes that could have been interesting... if it had been done better. But again, it never felt focused for anything to stick, the MC is too nice for anything to be 'offensive' to him as long as he doesn't sense mu*derous intent behind an action.

.... Honestly, that's almost it? Well, there were some good moments beyond that, but they never really get developed passed that. Character moments, where he and another character connect, and it's like welp that's it, that's the connection needed for that character, they can now forever be in the background to clutter the story as I throw new characters the the MC.

It's a DNF for me, and I wouldn't recommend this to most readers. If your a writer, and like the premise, give it a read if only to see what not to do.

Overall, I feel it could have been good, even with the more problematic aspects of the alien races biology, if it had given those issues the gravitas they deserve. If they had actually been treated as threats, as problems to any sort of relationship the MC could have with these other characters. But it wasn't good, and it crossed lines that grossed me out. <<less

It's okay would give it 3.5 stars don't expect much out it it's basically overpowered dude in mecha weak as hell without out one, women have high libido men have low libido handsome male lead it's basically how a man sees a beautiful woman and wants to f her is how women see the protagonist. All in all it's okay just turn off your brain when your reading it's get weird around the latest chapter so get ready for that or at least I was expecting that already.
