He was an F-rank Hunter. To top it off, he was a useless F-rank loser of a big brother who dragged down his incredible younger brother.

While he carelessly lived out his messed-up life, he ultimately took his younger brother’s life.

He regressed back in time with the title, Perfect Caregiver.

“Okay, this time, let’s lay low and take care of the talented ones instead.” He thought.

But those S-ranks are acting a little strange.

I can't put it down. I love clever protagonists and male yandere and pets. This is so far up my alley,...I can't think of something clever to follow that isn't also foul. Anyway, like other series of this type, it's a little formulaic, and the MC is loved and fawned over by *everybody*. If MC were female, I'm pretty sure I would have tossed this away, annoyed by Mary Sue-ness. It would definitely be some kind of reverse harem wonderland. In fact, it borrows so many tropes from yaoi I'm... more>> kinda surprised the author has managed to keep it clean.

Whatever, I'm starting to ramble. Give it a go. If the tags fit your preferences, it will satisfy. <<less

I absolutely *LOVE* it and could not put it down, I'm craving more so badly!! 😭😭 It definitely reminds me of TCF as others have said- I don't consider Yoojin to be a genius of Cale's level, but he definitely has that "cunning, physically weak MC with excellent skills who tries to make the world better while thinking he's doing it solely for selfish reasons, and doesn't get why people honestly like him just for him" vibe 😂 And the way they both have a pack of OP characters trailing along... more>> behind them like ducklings lol.

For me personally it would be a 5 star, but I acknowledge there are things about it that some may not like:

- I saw some people who got tired of the repeated "Weak MC is threatened, brother/others go nuts worrying about him, he calms them down" pattern. Personally I love it and never got tired of him driving everybody crazy with his glass cannon type body, but to each their own. 🤷🏻‍♀️ - The series takes a rather casual stance on imprisonment, assault, and at times even torture. The flippancy of it annoyed me at times, but only rarely.

- If you're a bigot who can't stand the idea of two men being in love, take a hike, because the number of innuendos in this story will leave your mind permanently in the gutter. I firmly believe this author wanted to write a BL and somebody told them no, so they just squeeze in as much as they can 😂

The only thing I hate about it is the knowledge it's gonna take FOREVER to be fully translated and isn't available to buy in English 😭 Other than that, happy reading! <<less

I'm rating this as a five because I really like the premise and how it was written. This is a child rearing story (somehow?). Hopefully, there's no romance because at this point it would be hard to do so considering how they establish 'friendship' and 'family' as the main theme after a hundred chapters.

Please remember this is a fantasy novel lmao so please try to not to have realistic expectations. Like what the hell there are already dragons in the story. Plot armors should be welcomed too as long as... more>> they are bearable and helping the story as a whole.

But I really like this story so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Good things to take note of:

  • It's a light-read.
  • It's like a cross between Omniscient Reader's Pont of View (ORV) and tr*sh of the Count's Family (TOTCF). MC is self sacrificing, OP (in a diff way), and a little bit cunning (but not as much as Cale). The relationship dynamic between characters are also like that.
  • The plot flows well and there were no boring points.
  • Plot devices were also used beautifully and didn't seem to abrupt.
  • I like how there is a gap moe with our MC.
  • The misunderstanding are hella funny.
  • The monologues are usually only the MC so its linear.
Things that might feel off while reading the story:

  • The obvious racism like other korean webnovels have. Specially against China and Japan.
  • The possessiveness of the brother but considering how the relationship dynamic was laid out I see it as something understandable. Also not everything is BL so please refrain from saying they look like they are.
  • In connection to what was written above, it might be connected with how Korean Novels gloss over writing long expositions unlike western novels so the character's relationships seemed jumping from point A to point B.
  • I agree with @userone the characters develop way too quickly without discussing how or why they did it.
This is another thing. I can see how everybody got annoyed by how clingy the characters are but since its diff for me also consider that. Anyway overall, I can't complain to how it was written and how it was translated since I've read a lot of k and c novels so I can read everything without footnotes. Maybe that's way I'm way too lenient too. But give this a try!

Anyway personal opinion, I like how there are many similarities with all the webnovels I've read before but to say this novel was a holy trinity with ORV and TOTCF is a little bit too much. If you would like a better read in line with those two it'd be SSS-Class su*cide Hunter although without the gang 'cause its MC works alone <<less

This novel is really a gem, I don't know how could I miss this gem for a long time, if you like omniscient reader's viewpoint and tr*sh of the count family, you will love this story, at first the plot kinda slow but it need to read all of the chapters without skipping it cause it contains many information that build the world, in a sense the way MC collect his S class it is just like kim dok ja having his group friends or cale that collect more friends... more>> and beast that protect him. I love how the deep feeling between brothers that grow up by relying on each other and each of them do their best to protect each other, and how MC relationship with others characters are very interesting. Also the plot of this novel kinda amazing and big after reading up to 131 chapters, every characters feel alive and have their own unique charm. Well I just love this novel so much. <<less

I gave up just after the first 30 chapters 'cuz it was that bad. MC has serious inferior complex & is very selfish. Moreover he has no talent and just use others' achievement (in his past life) as his own. That's what irritated me the most. I love reincarnation theme but I prefer the MCs have their own power and skill, or at least have some interesting characteristic, this one has nothing.

IMO this novel will be good if you treat the MC just like some cheesy novel's FLs, who got... more>> love from everyone unconditionally, doing nothing except from saying "I love you." and got treated like a saint. Now that's the actual genre of this novel. <<less

I love this story because the MC is not your typical over powered bad ass. Although he is powerful in his own way in all reality his power is LOVE lol. He seems to be the only person who is capable of loving people and monsters that almost everybody else would not. And these powerful people can see this and grab onto him and do not let go no matter what (which is totally funny).

My favorite thing about this novel is not that it is focused on the action but... more>> more of the family/relationship dynamics. And although it can sometimes feel that it is a slow burn the author gives us just enough action to keep us going.

By the way my favorite relationship in the novel is between Yoojin and Hyunjae they act like an old married couple lol. <<less

I think the novel has it's strengths, but it also has some very obvious shortcomings. I think the biggest problem is that the author seems to have changed the focus/how he wants to tell the story after the novel has been established. This changes the MC's attitude and I think the early relationships he makes and the motivations he has change too. The power/skill system is a complete mess and is a big issue as well. The heavy nationalism is also a bit of a turn off.

The strengths of the... more>> novel, are the drama and bromance. It's got some good character interactions and it's not only with just the MC. As a side-effect of the MC's main skill, there is also s*xual tension with basically all the characters. I think it's best to think of this as a drama focused novel set in an action world because the best mysteries and plot points center around characters interactions rather than the combat or the original motivations of the MC. <<less

Average at most, is not as good as tr*sh of the count but I can understand why some people get the similarity with that novel but lacks the complexity and well-written characters seen with our beloved read-head.

It's not bad at all it can be entertaining if you don't want something complex.

This story is an absolute gem. It's a bit rough at first, and I had to re-read the first five or six chapters about three times before everything cl**ked, but when it did - wow!

Maybe it's because I'm a bit of an idiot, but it honestly took re-reading those first few chapters to get an understanding of the basic plot and characters. The translator did a fantastic job, it's just that there are a lot of things happening in quick succession in the beginning, and it's a little bit confusing... more>> to have so much information squished into such a (relatively) small space.

The basic gist is that the MC (from his POV at least, and we don't know yet if he's an unreliable narrator or not) is a bit of a jerk, and his younger brother dies protecting him. He manages to go back in time five years and decides to be a better person, and do better things. The way he goes about it is wonderfully entertaining, and the butterfly effect of every action he takes is a delight to discover.

The best parts of this story though are the interactions our MC has with the other characters. This story is rich with characters that have their own distinct personalities, and ways of interacting with our MC. In a word, this story is entertaining. Ridiculously entertaining. I can't wait to see where this story ends up taking us. <<less

I like it so far. The first few chapters were rough. The MC initially was unlikable, being a giant ball of jealousy and incompetence. However, I like how the reader can see his attempts to change into a better person. By around chapter 15 this has become one of the series I look forward to most when I see it updated.

Normally I like the junk food, just for fun, yandere themed KN that just kinda throw interesting and quirky characters at you.

This, uh, this one isn't it.

You know those times when a series is being bad enough and an idea is being presented so hard that you can hear the author grunting while shoving it in? That is not a handful of scenes or ideas, but the whole plot of S classes. Most of the ideas feel crammed in and forced upon the reader as if the author is desperate... more>> to convince you that they really can write, just wait a chapter or two for them to finish this character skit.

It never can.

Read something else that commits to an idea or at the very least, fleshes them out. <<less

Love it! I love how the author writes about the relationship of the MC with the people around him, especially the siblings Yoojin, Yoohyun, and their new sister Yerim. It's so funny and heartwarming watching them bicker.

I was considering between 3 and 4 stars. But since it suits my taste, I’ll give it a 4-star.

This is not a perfect story and there’re a lot of issues. For example, the MC is slack of and has no clear goal. At first he wanted to raise lots of S- classes, then he decided it’s better to raised pet S-classes, then again, he knew that to take his brother’s body (first life) back and prevent world destruction he’d need lot of S-classes with strong stats so he tried to... more>> level them up. But maybe the author is too lazy to think of new characters and new skills so later on, the story just revolve some significant S-classes. It’d be better if the author didn’t state goal to collect and raise 50 S-classes from the beginning then just mention about 5-10 of them. Also, the author tried hard to make to story epic and added more plot twists. But everything become more complicated. With the interference of the “gods”, it makes things harder to control. And the younger brother’s body (first life). The MC said he wanted it back. Understandable but for what? Like... what about the current (second life) brother? Are you going to show him his dead body? Why not let go and enjoy the present? Anyway, sometimes I wonder how the author can solve every twists in the story.

Still, the story has some good things. Normally a story will develop into relationship route or career route. The career route here is messed up. But the relationship route is really nice. I enjoy the moments and memories between the MC and his brother. People can only see that the younger brother is obsessed with and overprotective of the MC but the MC is actually a brother complex too. They really care for each other but don’t know how to show it. Other side characters also have their past and circumstance. And they’re all get better thanks to the MC. I like it when the S-classes are all adore/ obsessed with the MC. Yes, partly because of the skills. But mainly because of the MC himself. It’s explained that the S-Classes are different from normal people from birth. They are true geniuses with gifted talent. This allows them to succeed easier. So, they’ll find life boring and cannot build relationships with other easily. And the MC is the only one who willing to step forward and start a relationship with them first. That’s why they’re all interested in him.

Another the thing is the BL vibe in this story. I know some don’t like it. But I love it :) so I’ll just give it a 4-star <<less

I like this novel. The beginning is very explanation heavy, and you have to draggg yourself through the first ten or so chapters. But it gets better after that.

I agree with the general consensus that the MC seems to be a bit lacking in a concrete goal. Right now since ... more>>

his relationship with his bro has improved a little, it seems to be to make it so his dongsaeng can live a comfy life.

but it’s nothing too damaging to the story.

Characters are pretty interesting. People say that MC’s brother is a yandere, but wouldn’t you also be intensely protective and grateful towards the person who

gave up their education and went to work early so you could live a better life? Maybe not on HYH’s level, but we’ve already seen that the guy is intense. It’s just how he is.

I’m gonna say it outright. The cutesie monster/whatever Chirpie is aspect is annoying. It feels like the author is excessively trying to make them cute and add some fluff to the novel, whereas I prefer the more serious scenes as they are cooler and what I came here for. I am, as you can see, a girl of simple tastes.

TLDR: it’s not the best novel out there. But I would recommend you give it a try. Once you make it past the first 10-20 chapters, you’ll be able to see if you really like it or not. It’s pretty interesting all round. <<less

The story starts out strong, but near the middle around chapters 60ish, the translation starts to become very unreadable.

if you can slug through those chapters, I hear the later ones are better done, but I'm personally having difficulty.

Plot is usual, regressor goes back to much better his life. His younger brother and those around him fall under his thrall and he create a fanbase for himself of the most powerful S-class people (hence the name). A interesting read, but not the most original. Worth a few hours if you got... more>> the time to spare, and can get past the middle translations. <<less

I m diging this story. An exciting modern world with dungeons, with a rational and humane MC. At the golden oportunity of beign able to lay low and live confortly he tryes to take it, unfortunatly for him curosity takes the best of him, as it even intriges us readers, and he involves himself in the dungeon bussnies while experimenting with his undesceibed newly adquired skills.

As we advance in the story more characters are introduced each one with some wierd quirck. We can see them interact with not only MC... more>> but each other.

As for dungeon raids, we don t get spammed with them filling more than half of the story, instead the only parts we get to read are the seldom boss fight with a focus on describing the cooperation between the integrants.

One of the things that I like the most is the mistery behind the skills, we don t get names like: fireball, regeneration, or other generic abilities, instead their names are just a thease of what they do and imagination is the limit of what they can achive. This helps a lot for the story to not have a strict powerlevel and let things to happend unexpectetly.

All in all if you are a modern dungeon fan and like the story having a more exploration aproche. I strongly recomend you this one.

Translation can sometime be hard to read but is mostly quite nice. <<less

This novel is kinda new while mixing many things, we have a world changed like solo playing where dungeons appear in the world and " awakaned " people with superpower appear.

The MC here is a F rank (F~S from lowest to highest as usual) who ends up dying and regress, well it's kinda generic up to now. What I liked was that while he became very special with what he gained while regressing, it's not really the MC that makes the story.

He has amazing abilities but his basic stats... more>> (health, mana, strength, agility etc..) are still F rank so the story will necessarily bring other people to shine. Here the MC " role " is opposite to Reincarnator MC (who is almost doing everything by himself).

The translation had many notes in the beginning (it's good but when there is 12 notes and it takes 1.5 page) it kind of break the reading.. But it's still appreciated to have explanations.

I hope the translation will continue, 470c for now in korean.. Thanks translators and NU for the discovery and work <<less

Every novel has their own trope. For Korean novel, the general trope is that the male lead will become godlike and being revered by everyone everywhere. That trope is really strong here, where the story even provide a reason for everyone to love MC- to the point where the side characters didn't have any development for them. You would only find character development when the MC decided to save another character and put them in to his care. After that the character will pop out here and there, but their... more>> state will stay the same. Which is a shame, really. It's the same with other korean novel. The novel exist only from and for the MC. The others are just accessories to make him looks better.

As several other mentioned, the MC changed his focus several times from living peacefully, to raising beast, to finding as many S rank hunter as possible. Changing focus is actually pretty usual, but the problem here is that the protagonist and the story lack a direction in which the plot need to move into. So what happened is, the reader are bombed with characters introduction and lots of event which doesn't seem to be connected at all.

All the rant aside, this is still an interesting read. It just can't live to people's expectation. <<less

Its a personal favorite of mine for the protagonist to be well liked by people around him.

The second translations were good! I hope to read more chapters soon.

Exactly what you'd expect from the golden age of Korean dungeon LNs, it's just as high quality as all the others. Quite enjoy it because it stars the incredibly rare support hero and the requirements to use his abilities to grow others lead to quite funny situations. The ML is a decent guy that doesn't care about being big he just wants to help his brother and some other strong people grow so they can save the world and he can live a simple calm life with his savings.
