Lacking a pocket dimension, power, a thigh to hug onto, and the three life advantages (money, power, and looks), he had been cautiously living in the apocalypse for ten years, getting closer to falling inside the zombie’s mouths.

Unexpectedly, he had the terrible luck, to be caught in a fight between two gangs and die, it really left people feeling disappointed. When he opened his eyes, he had returned to a decade ago, three months before the apocalypse!

Like before he still lacked an ability, an ordinary person without a pocket dimension, but he did have ten full years of experience living in the apocalypse! Even if he didn’t fight zombies, didn’t hunt monsters, he could still live a carefree farming life in the safe zone.

Find a safe house, utilise all kinds of skills from his previous life to farm in exchange for meat, and if possible, find a person to peacefully spend the rest of his life with; ordinary people had their own ordinary little pieces of happiness.

Originally believing he had picked up a beauty he returned home to prepare a golden house, but on the contrary he was the one being pushed down……someone once said, whether it is people or matters, by no means can you only look at the surface!

This was probably not for me because I’m not feeling it, every chapter is struggle to read.

When I read the reviews I was expecting a more feel good slice of life romance that happened to take place in the apocalypse and it was that but without the feel good part which was arguably the most important part. I should have listened to the realistic part. I understand that you’re statistically more likely to survive through a zombie apocalypse if you’re an a**hole but man it feels like almost everyone they’ve... more>> encountered in this novel up to this point besides the military and their neighbors are either mu*derers, thieves, or r*pists. I want to like the main cast, however, a lot of them, especially the college students, feel very much like card board cut outs of each other. The romance has a weird exponential curve where they meet and suddenly it feels like they’ve been married for 10 years and felt a little rushed for me. It didn’t feel like an emotional connection was really formed and instead felt more like a “since the worlds ending and your the best left, let’s get married.” Not a bad thing per say but definitely not what I wanted. I tried to read this for the fun farming simulator and the romance but just kept being reminded of how you should have no faith in humanity. <<less

Much more for survival category 80% well, it's a good ride but still lack a little of Romance development. tbh it's quite bore cuz most of it was about farming, zombie, and survival also it's also seems to easy for them since the MC died in the future and back to the past, well, you know.

Also, its romance is too minimum, since I'm very much into Shounen Ai or Yaoi, most of them have its romance development, story, ehem

I think I am dropping this novel at this point. I really enjoyed it at first but it becomes very repetitive and boring.

Especially when they move to their permanent base. It's just more building and developing. Even when zombies evolve and the tides pass by you already know they'll be okay so it feels lackluster to me.

I am all for slice of life but there is barely any tension and the romance is extremely thin. IMO slice of life doesn't mean the story has to be tension free and boring. Real life has more excitement than this. I personally prefer a story with more focus on people rather than on their actions. The characters also lose their personalities and pretty much just appear to use abilities/when their specialization is needed.

The extent of romance after they get together is just a line or two about how they havent slept together for a few days so they spend a day doing it (but do not expect any action to be described). And yes I realize it's a zombie apocalyspe so who has time for that but you can show the relationship and intimacy in other ways.

Xu mei is also described as a bold beauty capable of running her own man eating crew, but then her and LingLing just appear when their abilities are needed or food needs to be cooked as the story progresses. Though the author did make an attempt at first to teach the college students how to cook, later in the story only the two women and MC ever seem to cook.

I also hated how potential problems were solved in such a hand-wavy way. Others said that the MC isn't OP, but I feel like the traits are still there. They always find the things they need or the solution to a problem almost immediately.

For example, when they acquired the litte bun I wondered about the milk problem and was excited to see how the issue was solved, but suddenly there's magically a plant that produces milk?

The translation is also cleaned up MTL if that's something that bothers you. Some chapters are a bit rougher than others, but I still found it readable.

Overall, it's good for a mindless read to a certain point. I see many asking why the rating is so low but tbh I think it's rated a bit high for what it is. <<less

It's good if you expect a slice of life farming in apocalypse story if you want anything else it won't do.

It's entertaining... a little.

The translation is bumpy, the characters, the romance and the interactions between characters felt a little shallow.

I didn’t really like apocalypse theme, but this one is different. MC is an ordinary person who reborn back before the apocalypse. After the end of the world, whole world change with zombies virus, mutated human and animals, and plants. Mutated humans will have ability, which MC unfortunately still don’t have.

How MC survive the apocalypse without ability? Growing mushroom in the bas**ent, lay low, and be smart. He knows exactly what will happen if you blindly help people in this hard time. He’s not a hero, only want to survive.

Based... more>> on his experience, he knows as long as he grow something to eat, he’ll survive. So, welcome to the farming novel in apocalypse. This novel’s pace is slow, the romance is not a burning type romance, but i’m hooked. It was like reading a diary of ordinary person in apocalypse time. The author’s world building is awesome! No drama, no misunderstanding, I love how the team interact with each other. Truly a pleasant experience to read this novel. <<less

The story starts with MC who was reborn and started preparing everything for the approaching apocalypse. He has limited budget and takes out all his savings to purchase stuff and an apartment in a future safe base. His plan is to grow plants to earn money, like in his old life. After the end of the world breaks out he meets new people namely his new neighbor's who he gets along well. He meets ML. Has a dog. Takes in his prematurely born baby brother and raise him with his boyfriend (ML).

(I forgot a lot because it's been a while, sory.)

Later they decided to move out of the base that was getting strickter, more controlling and decided to build a base instead. They chose a farming school surrounded by mutated plants.

This novel focuses on homebuilding, farming, harmonious interactions within their group, and harvesting power nuclears to uprade their abilities.

Its a happy ending and they even have child (even if its not their own) !♡ <<less

It's definitely One of the Best Slice Of Life Zombie Apocalypse Novel EVER!!!

Yes, it's slice of life which mean 3/4 part of the story is about their Daily Life in Apocalypse trying to have Peaceful Life while Farming and did some Job building things. While 1/4 part is about fighting zombies and very little bit fighting bad people.

The MC from the start till the end doesn't have any power! He's smart and Badass are based from his previous life experience. The other half of his team members is also ordinary... more>> people who can survive by being loyal, learn things from the apocalypse world, being guided by the MC's leadership. They're not s*upid either, just innocent good people who we would love and enjoy!

ML was weak to slowly get stronger and badass! Close to OP! But that's also how the other side character; the male member with ability is. Get stronger and close to be OP too!

This is really Wonderful Apocalypse Novel! With Wonderful Ending!!!

We would get some moments where we get worried for the group's situations because City Rules, etc. But MC is Smart! And ML always able to comfort him to calm down. And their situation always get better smoothly because they have decent good luck! They good at planning!

All the characters in their group is Enjoyable, Likable, Great, Helpful, absolutely Wonderful !

They able to take care of Pet, Child, and newborn baby, which is VERY RARE in Any Apocalypse Story/Novel/Film/Game!!!

Different from Back to the Apocalypse where both MC and ML there doesn't feel worried about Food and Clothing because Magical Space, but goes through intense Actions and Injury. In this novel, both MC and ML have moments where they were worried about Food would get reduced because the Mutation of Plants and Animal is heavier in this novel, but also their Home Base situation because City Rules.

Anyway everything goes Wonderful! Slice of Life with very few Drama and decent Actions and Survival Moments. Absolutely Wonderful Beautifully GREAT!!!

I LOVE THIS NOVEL SO VERY MUCH FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART TO INFINITY AND BEYOND!!! <<less

The first apocalypse novel that I ever read. Mainly what I love about it is that the MC is just an ordinary person. He's not a combat specialist, and he never gets a special power but he has a head for strategy and is prone to overpreparing so that he can face the various crisis that will come. Really good slice of life.

I don't recommend reading this if what you want out of an apocalypse novel is action/drama, as this one focuses on farming, cooking, finding resources and fortifying bases;... more>> basically on improving their quality of life even at the end of the world. <<less

I loved the story is not the typical story of the MC who tries to get revenge and by doing so becomes an important person, the MC just wants to survive in peace.

The story really has a lot of plot holes but as it is more of a story as recounts of life it is acceptable. It is pleasant to read because it does not focus on internal fights that are always complicated and tiresome to read.

Really good. Impressed with all the details the author came up with for defense against the apocalypse, pity she could not do the same for the characters or anything other.

I can’t believe we only got the baby buns name not the last chapter, and the flow of time was confusing cuz I’d be reading and be like, huh? It’s been two years in apocalypse world??

It was very cute and fluffy, and I enjoyed the adventures and relationships they built with the team, other people, finding their children and pets. I would rate this book an 10/10 based on my enjoyment and a 8/10 on unexplained events and I highly recommend for those who enjoy zombie settings and slice of life. I love this novel and I did read it 5 times now and still love to read it again and again.

If you like farming and slice of life genre with almost no action, then this is the novel for you.

The couples are mostly gay but the romance is really not the focus of the story but survival and everyday's life in the apocalypse is.

... more>> As always in apocalyptic setting we have superwpowers and powering up using nuclea.

Anyway if you prefer action or military stuff don't read you'll find this story boring with a slow pace <<less

I'm currently reading this novel and liking the story very much. It would be a 5-star if only I can ignore the translation being a bit lower in quality than what I usually read. The storyline is very riveting and I can't wait to read more. I really appreciate the work the translator has done because I know it takes a lot of effort, but I wish there is more editing done. But as I'm already hooked, I'm just going to let my mind enter into a state of zen... more>> where every sentence will automatically edit itself in my brain so that I can fully appreciate the wonderful story.

The translation's quaility takes away a little bit from the story... The wordings were confusing. But the story's fine. It's a slice of life no brainer read. The characters are not very fleshed out, sometimes I cant identify which side character is which even though they were an important sc. If anyone has read 'The Film Emperor Food Broadcast' (i forgot the title) it's quite similar to it although not as good in term of translation and story.

Superb slice of life in apocalyptic world! It's light and easy to read. If you want drama and action - please read summary. It's accurate and nicely says, that the focus of story is a self sufficient farming in dangerous times.

Translator needs an editor, but is still good enough to enjoy the story.

A slice of life novel about the zombie apocalypse! What's not to like? Love how everything is about food--growing food, getting food, cooking food, eating food. The couples are cute, too, but food is the focus not boy love. Oh, and some great female characters.

Decent story, world building, and character building. Although from the middle to the end, it feel bit rushed, left out many detail, but its still okay.

Sometimes, when I was reading, I was wondering why MC or Author never write or speak about garlic ? growing garlic, onion ? As an asian myself, I think garlic was one of main ingredient for asian cuisines. Most of food recipes I know, need garlic for their cooking spices.

Finally, in this novel I could find an answer for my curiosity...

how women fix their menstruation... more>> problem in apocalyptic world... so many zombies novel always skip this problem..

but, then I got more question...

1. Zombies could smell human and blood scent from afar. So why when they moved in their new base there never zombie come closer because menstruation blood ? because there mutant plants or mutant animals ? As we know that when they are hunting zombies core, a drop of blood can attract multiple of them from afar. <<less

Slice of life with zombies, superpowers and a puppy. Good world-building.

I like how the MC doesn't have superpowers, but leverages his re-do to advantage. That he gains a squad is due to being a decent, thoughtful person.
