Agnes Le Verges was a beautiful, haughty, Earl’s daughter.

Called high society’s resplendent rose, she was an unobtainable goal.

On the other hand, the poor noble knight, Bernard, who held a grudge against Agnes for her sneering and scorn at his upbringing and pedigree.

Five years after that awful meeting, Agnes’ house suddenly fell into ruin. Her father’s scandals were the cause.

Everyone around her was cold-hearted towards her and the only one who held a hand out to Agnes, who had lost everything, was Bernard.

He said that if she worked as a servant, he would provide all of the necessities.

Watching Agnes accept the proposal, Bernard snickered to himself.

“It serves you right, Miss. I’m going to work you hard from now on…”

A misunderstanding story from the male character point of view, a quite rare point of view if I must say.

I haven't seen much of the girl personality, but the male personality is interesting... Might he be a rare male tsundere? He tried to be petty, but it came out as gentlemanly instead.

I will update this review as more chapter appeared.

By the way, if you are looking for OP MC and harem, this might not be something for your plate.

I've really enjoyed the story thus far. I think the main characters are really cute and funny.
Spoiler

I honestly think that she needs glasses. I don't think she was glaring at him or anyone else. It would make sense. Especially when she stares at his face when he saved her. Or that could just be her facial expression and she doesn't realize she's doing it.

The characters in this novel are rather well written, with the interactions between them not sounding forced and actually rather natural. Misunderstandings between the MC and ML are what lead her to the situation she is now in. Hopefully he will slowly unravel the mystery of her glaring at him when they first met.

The MC point of view is a male and a little tsun, lol.

Started with misunderstanding, you will see how the male lead is so blockhead with the female MC. Maybe some of you will want to hit the male MC's head with brick and pity the female MC but as for me I always feel every contact between them is so funny and sweet, lol (am I a sadist? No, no no no)

Read this, and you can feel every taste of candies in your mouth!

Much better than I'd expected - I'm looking forward to seeing where it goes from here. The MC has a well-fleshed-out history and understandable thought processes, and the story is very engaging. The translation quality is also extremely high, and is generally among the best I've ever seen in LN/WN translations.

It's surprisingly decent, despite the slightly questionable (?) synopsis that makes it sound much more aberrant than it actually is. The tenuous but slowly deepening relationship between the two main characters is pretty fun to read, and it helps that the translation is really well done, so it's pretty easy on the eyes and brain.

A lovely cute story that actually boasts of well written characters and a decent looking plot.

The misunderstandings between the couple is what drives the story forward, and the way it is presented is just so natural.

It is more of a cute kind of story than a comedy kind of story, but it has enough in it to compel you to read it.

... more>> For now, the TL rate is quite slow but with only 70 chapters, I would say this deserves more.

This is Mango approved.

PS: The character interactions are far too well written. <<less

3/5 stars IMO, the heroine and translation are well done, not the novel has a few setbacks that hinder it a bit. The heroine is amazingly well depicted - she's a Yamato Nadeshiko, timid yet forward in front of the man she likes, hardworking kind of girl. She doesn't get much character development, but her arc doesn't really need much development, since the main roadblock is the dunderhead MC.

The MC isn't really a great guy, even among Tsundere male MC's. He has low self esteem, actively fears women (for reasons... more>> we're not fully told of), yet blusters his way through most situations in ways that would normally push other people away. He's rude to his colleagues at work and brusque to his servants. The novel is supposed to show his character development, but all it really shows is how one pretty girl managed to win his heart - he's still just as much of a pain to everyone else. Basically, the most dere you'll get out of him is him responding "OK" when the FL passionate confesses her feelings for him. No more, no less, just him affirming that, yes indeed, she has feelings for him. I also question the pacing of the novel, while felt really rushed after c40. Suddenly, people who were clearly suspicious the whole time and who were openly making illegal transactions start saying "I didn't know that was illegal" and getting forgiven, while random characters who were never introduced before become the big bads. To boot, the MC goes from seeing himself as the heroines foster father to a love interest in the course of a few paragraphs. <<less

This novel has a lot of potential but heald back by it's main protagonist. The FMC is a great character with great personality including her depression (which isnt noticeable) and insecurities gices her a scared kitten feeling which the author aims at, While the Male Protagonist is suppose to be bear like, firstly I know, it is suppose to be more than meets the eye type of thing with him being considered a bear like person, but the author just always force it down your troath with subtle remarks i.e... more>> the story the fMC loves. The male protagonist is far from bear like, all it comes from is his hair and tallness, he isnt even buff and most of all he is apathetic he said he upholds the knights vow but it just feels like he uses it because he has no real personality the only trait he has is that he is insensitive. I can list more things but it will only be me beating a dead horse.

In conclusion good premise, great FMC, subpar Male Protagonist. <<less
