Read up to chapter 739.

The story is basically about the protagonist (Davey) who trains immensely hard because of severe regrets from his previous life, and became an overpowered existence. He basically grew to be an overpowered anti-hero with a serious case of savior complex to people he accepts under his wing. It notably becomes a bigger and bigger issue as the story goes on, pushing his modern values on both his enemies and allies, and being unmoved even by the words of people close to him (which gets quite irritating... more>> and makes me want to come down there and beat the protagonist into sense). Honestly, just this savior complex of his alone can get readers to drop this web novel because of how irrationally stubborn he acts. There have been better cases of personality development and good reasons for it in different web novels, but Davey's case just really irritates me. If he wants to make heroines that he keeps close to him happy, he shouldn't be leaving his relationships with them hanging so vaguely. Many of the heroines needlessly suffered because he keeps leaving this vagueness in the air while pushing his modern values on them to avoid responsibility on top of ignoring his own feelings. I perceive Davey using these points to fit this savior complex to be excuses to escape from facing his previous life's regrets. Basically, there are endearing wimps which I don't find much of a problem and even embrace, because even though they backtrack they still care and proactively respond to their heroines' feelings for them; and then there are these irritable wimps like Davey that I find incorrigible.

There are hints of future events that...

Spoiler

Davy will fall ill for a period and leave the people about him vulnerable. He basically babied all his people, so there are high chances they will lack power to do a significant impact if Davey is absent.

[collapse]

... so if something like this happens that can cause a big shift in Davey's values that DOES NOT happen late into the web novel, I won't be changing my rating anytime soon.

Putting aside Davey's irritable nature, the story does have a good amount of layers to its world building. Different topics introduced in the story (such as relating to engineering, chemistry, history) are well informed. The scales jump quite a bit as well from countries, to continents, to other dimensions, which add a lot of interest and intrigue for new places after every arc. There is also consistency in depicting different perspectives of different characters throughout the story, adding depth to the story's characters and narrative.

For the harem: yes, it is a polyamory.

Spoiler

Up to chapter 739, Davey is in an official romantic relationship with Perserque and Princess Aeria

[collapse]

The other girls that have potential to be involved in his future romantic relationships are:

Spoiler

- Princess Illyna (she is a main heroine that appear pivotal to the story, she spends a lot of time together with Davey and learned about Davey's previous life regrets and identity)

- Rinne (she spent a lot of time with Davey as she is often included and relied on as an important member of his party, and she has been recovering memories that seem to play a pivotal role in future events involving Davey)

- Josiah (the student during the academy arc that relies on Davey's blood, where Davey himself did not give her any other option but to only drink his blood)

- Tiara (the young dwarf lady that had an engagement formed and broken by their parents with Davey when they were young)

- Amy (the maid that has been with Davey since he woke up from comatose, and has refused pursuing marriage over following Davey when he suggested it to her)

[collapse]

And the girls with low potential, but might develop romantic relationships with Davey in the future following the second half the the story:

Spoiler

- Aina (the dark elf that has been helping Davey behind the scenes, considered a connection that Davey realized he relied a lot on when there was a case where she was absent)

- Lilne (the succubus that Davey did not kill when they first encountered, and lowkey considered an ally amongst the demons when they met the second time)

-Yuriana (the elf that took initiative to take Davey's side during the war against the World Tree, and a close friend of Princess Illyna)

- Saintess Candidate Alice (there has been some suggestions of affinity increasing between her and Davey)

- A girl Davey saved twice and has taken his side during the Central Continent arc

- An abyss princess during the Central Continent arc

I am too far deep in the machine translation. I would say that the story has its own promises and demise. It was a good and fun read nevertheless. The MC is a becoming a literal god at this point.

For example, ... more>>

I can't say for the translation since it was a MTL. Would highly recommend others to read the manga <<less

It got one of the best premises out there, the 1st 50+ chaps were good, the world building, the side characters, the MC background development, the action and fight storytelling, as well the story progression. Then the author decided to add more princesses to the story, spoiled princesses, useless to the plot and just used to prolong and write more words. The main reason of the story stagnated for a bit long time. The harem destroyed the story. Author tried hard to write an MC like those japanese harem isekai... more>> MC. Plot holes become more frequent. The ending is badly written. I now understand why this was not adapted early for manhwa and translated to English earlier even though it was started to be written back on 2018, it just gone bad when not even reaching 100 chaps yet. And I'm pretty sure those rating of 5 stars are from people who have yet to read 100+ of the novel. Or those people came from the manhua before season 2. <<less

It's actually more fun than I expected : the MC has a refreshing personality, the other characters have minimum "life" put into them to feel interesting, and I want to know what's going on.
Recommended.

It's better to read the manhwa cause at least the art is great.

Anyways, the first 30 chapters or so kind of set it up like a revenge esque story but it isn't...

Instead it's a kind of slice of life with an op protagonist who just does crazy stuff for fun and to show off. (Also the love interests are cliche.) (MC is also cringe 70% of the time)

Meh overall it's a good timepass read so 2.4 stars

First time writing a review

This novel is only mediocre at best, you can find all the cliche, annoying princess, loli, the female lead fall in love at first sight or because MC is mysterious there's hardly any depth in the character, 500years of training in 1 chapter is nonsense, and what is hate more is the amount of time the MC can just finish off his enemy but instead he choose to show off

Spoiler

On time he was being underestimated by the secret society and was ask for a duel, instead he uses a golem, but in the manhwa its a frickin gundam, it has rocket, chainsaw and stuff like it was suppose to be medieval time, he won the duel but everyone else is mocking him for using a golem, at that point everything he did is just showing off, waiting until they thought he will lose and he suddenly powering up and winning and is just a repeat and repeat

[collapse]

Anyway this is clearly not for serious read, use it for time killer, and pls just read the manhwa, wuxiaworld is not free anymore <<less

I was hoping for a easy revenge story read with an OP character. It started out like that but towards the end of the first season of the manga, it just didn't feel like he was making any progress on the revenge.

Also, are there no revenge plots out there without a harem?! I can't even remember all these girls names much less get invested in them. I just wanted a cool OP protagonist to enact revenge with a one track mind. Instead I get to watch bratty girls swoon over... more>> the MC.

I couldn't do it after the first season. But that's just my opinion, happy reading to those who like this kinda plot. <<less

So I first stumbled upon this novel from reading the manhwa. Art was nice and the story was 'good' at the beginning. Your typical isekai strong MC with lots of beautiful female princesses. There are dwarves, elves, dragons, golem, magic, demons, demon lord, etc here just your normal everyday average fantasy world. I was more interested in the kingdom development early on and continued reading the novel after reading the latest chapter. MC overpowered, breezing through the villains like the wind while earning some princess points in saving them. Then... more>> as you continue reading around the 200 chapters, the author dumps in random elements to the novel like enemies isekai'ng to the MC's world through a VR game in earth, abyss princess who wants to conquer the world, a key that transports MC to parallel world with his younger version teachers? Present or something. The story, if there actually is one just straight up go out of whack. This novel started out good but then just continues to progressively get worse as you continue read it. My recommendation is to skip this if you are in it for the story, else just read it for your past time. Dont get too invested in this novel as there is no character development happening. My brain is too rotten from reading all the isekai novels/manga, hopefully yours isn't. <<less
