If there's a problem with this novel, it lacks real plot, or its not focused in it. I feel more like I'm reading a slice of life story about MC's daily interactions, s*x life, and how he uses his authority force the girls. The good point is that the novel is more realistic when it comes to reactions and everything else. Unlike many novels I have read such as Road to Kingdom, where the MC has an extra large horse c**k and the female characters would instantly jump at it the moment they see it like they are hungry wolves.

You know what I love most about Novelupdate reviews? It's when people review novels using their own personal preferences despite the novel obviously not fitting that.

It's so common now that I can't get mad over it. Reader comes into a medieval themed novel about a marquise abusing his position to r*pe people, has the tags "R*pe", top reviewer warns about r*pe, but the reader reads it and then leaves a negative review because the protagonist r*ped someone. Moving past all of that, this novel is very different from a lot of other adult novels on this site. It favors being realistic over the many tropes found in JP literature. By that, I mean the protagonist feels like a real person, the characters and relationships he starts feels realistic, and the reactions as well as the world feels genuine. I'm sure plenty of other reviewers cover this stuff better than I could, but I still want to reiterate that you are almost certainly not going to enjoy this novel if you are looking for common 18+ plots.

This means characters won't fall in love when being r*ped, our incredibly young and virg*n protagonist is going to be pretty mediocre at s*x for a while, and the emotions as well as actions of our protagonist will be more human. Now the reason I enjoy this novel so much is the realism aspect. Frankly, morals are relative and change depending on culture and other factors, so it really annoys me when MC in some novel tries to imose his moral values on whatever world he is in. The second is character development. You can see slow shif in attitudes of his women and reasons for that. Some are faster and some are slower that MC might have wanted, definetly more realistic than 95% of harem novels. <<less

I liked this novel, it's just as the title says. The MC is true to his feelings and he isn't a wuss like many Japanese MCs or an hypocritical idealist. Also anything related to the MC is not absurd such as cheats, powers or some magnetic field for beauties or harem; in fact he has none, which makes the story more interesting and fun. The story is not slow paced, the details are omitted for anything that's not related to the s*x life of the MC (it's not bad, it helps you skip through useless descriptions or minor events if you're here just for enjoying the core story described by the title). Nonetheless the story is clear even without those details, you won't even feel them needed. The interactions and dialogs are in place, the characters dispositions are well done and their development is promising. Don't read it or give it 1 star if you're against fictional r*pe

This novel is actually quite a snooze. The author has constructed it as a loose collection of bland "domination" scenarios that span 2-3 chapters long, interconnected with some very boring world building. The scenarios themselves are really uninspired and the lack of evocative imagery for both the female characters and the s*x descriptions is down right criminal in this type of work.

However, instead of showing us several dozen chapters of the process of this guy breaking down and turning this mother/daughter pair into his personal sluts, it's never revisited for dozens of chapters and instead we he bangs some maid (that we don't care about) some tavern girl (that we don't care about) and a merchants daughter (that we don't care about)... I think you get the picture. None of these characters really matter and the scenes with them are boring as hell - you literally could not sport wood if you downed an entire bottle of viagra.

On top of all the above, what makes it even worse is that the MC is some type of powerful Noble who can pretty much do whatever he wants, so there is absolutely zero thrill at any of his transgressions nor is there any sort of taboos that are being broken since everyone seems to just go along with what he wants anyway. Personally, I enjoyed those chapters that progress or add true content to the stories, the author paying attention to details in nobility conduct and its world-building are big + for me.

The writing style is also smooth and helps to enjoy the stories. (I'm mentioning this, since some other WN/LN writers tried to introduce politics and world buildings in their writings, but due to their lack of experience or skills, only for it to be a pain to read at.)

Overall this turns out to be better than I initially thought it would be.

My favorite isekai by far for many reasons.

While a commitment, I suggest people read at least all of volume 1 before deciding on whether or not to drop the series. The early chapters don't give a good overview of how the story is in it's entirety.

As for the main reasons this series stands out for me, I'd say the author has done great with the setting and world building. The background of the story adds a lot to the h-scenes and relationships with the heroines.

One other aspect of the story... more>> I've come to enjoy is the culture clash the MC experiences. It's highlighted much more in volume 2 than it is in 1.

The MC has adapted well to the world he's found himself in and has crafted a persona that fits the environment he lives in almost perfectly, but of course he can't let go of his cultural roots from Earth entirely and it seeps into his behavior sometimes.

It's very enjoyable for me to read the perspectives of other characters in the story and how baffled, amazed, or uncomfortable they are by the MC's actions, and how they react to and interpret them. What sometimes seems relatively innocuous to the MC is in fact a very big deal to people in his social circle and of similar social standing; so much that it actually affects his relationships with major characters.
