. IS AMAZING.

Why? Because....*wryly laughs* I read the mtl for this and found that this GL story is very interesting as it has a twist that one never expects. I mean! If you continue to read further, you'd actually be surprised on how the plot has turned out. Also, while I'm writing this review I am shaking in excitement and anticipation upon reading further ahead because I was unable to wait any longer and that I took the risk of reading the translated version of this on mtl. Nowhere near as good as I was expecting based on the reviews, the plot and execution are kinda nonsensical, I guess the feelgood moments and tired suspense were enough to keep some people entertained but I couldn't read this without being astounded at the s*upidity of both the MC and the other characters and annoyed at the lack of internal consistency.

Like, at one point the MC is like "This servant is of my household, do not touch her" and then the very next thing that happens is the antagonist locks... more>> up that same servant and starves her nearly to death.

Not to mention that it switches between the love interest being a s*ave and a servant, those are two different things! <<less

This novel has great buildup so far. The sh*t the MC and FL take from the male lead is feeling like some mental BD*M. You hate how torturously the plot is moving but it's obvious that a satisfying turning point is coming and it will feel liberating.

At first I was afraid of the system influencing the MCs free will but it's not completely detrimental; although it's there to a fairly annoying degree.

Can't forget to mention the translator's daily updates of near perfect quality. Even the best story becomes unbearable with bad translation so I'm in love with Heftychonk right now for bringing us this and Imperial Doctor. <<less

This was a really good build up. The MC originally doesn't want anything to do with the FL, she just wanted to escape her bad ending, but because of how bad (and toxic) the ML is, it's a slow process of her becoming the FL's supporter. She doesn't want to just ignore and escape, she just can't take how horrible the ML is and thinks the FL deserves a better life, because this is no longer a novel she is living in, everything is real and the suffering she sees... more>> from the FL is too real.

I really love how slow but compressed chinese webnovels are. This was a good journey to see how at the end of it all (I'm on chapter 62 now) her feelings of wanting to help the FL somehow turned into her falling for the FL.

Even the FL has such a good/interesting personality, she has a tsundere side. Because of the support from the MC, as much as she wanted to ignore MC, she can't because throughout all her suffering the MC is the only one who actually showed her kindness.

They eventually do get rid of the ML but then the story develops into there being an evil conspiracy that ML was a part of. Wow, the ML is more like the villain than the original MC.

I'm only on chapter 62, but I love how well the story has developed. It was a slow process, but it gave the chance for us to see the MC change. Even the romance was a sweet process. <<less

almost immediately, in about 10 chapters or so. Then it goes into more of developing the relationship between the MC and FL. This is fine and I want to see how the plot will move their relationship forward.

Characters:

I'm just gonna put this out there. I like strong MCs. I'm biased towards them, I like protagonists who can beat the sh*t out of people. So of course I'm going to like the MC. She's cool, she can fight, she's not afraid to take a punch to the face, and I love that. FL on the other hand.... needs something more. Too much of a tsundere who has way too much pride and although she should be some kind of intelligent bides her time, female, she does a lot of s*upid things. Hope to see some more development there.

Translation Quality:

Um.... meh? I can understand most of it just fine, but my eyes do burn a little from the use of wrong tenses and choppy sentences. Could use some smoothing out of the dialogue as it comes off a little unnatural. <<less

this is pretty cute. I really like the romance: well paced and sweet, and their interactions are so cute. The MC is kind of like an overbearing and puppy-like CEO and the FL is a shy, slightly violent, tsundere. I really didn't expect to be reading this since I always read BG or BL novels, but the synopsis was really interesting and the actual novel lived up to it. Overall its a good read so far and I'm glad I've finally got into GL novels.＼ (^o^) ／

I was a bit hesitant to read this because I did not want to see the female lead and the MC go through heavy suffering by the male lead. However, I am very glad that I gave this novel a try. The male lead didn’t get to do much to the female lead due to the MC blocking and taking revenge for her. He was quickly eliminated from the story which is great since I did not want to see him anymore. The rest of the story is fluffy with... more>> the interactions between the MC and female lead with a hint of danger, action, and mystery to keep it lively. I also like the side couple of the sister and her bodyguard. They are cute to read about. <<less

One of the best stories I've ever read. It's sweet, entertaining, and quite romantic at times. I loved the interactions between the WCL and LLY. Their romance develops quite nicely and doesn't drag out, unlike other novels I've read. Though I'm not finished with this story, I can tell it will be one of my favorites of all time.

The story progresses very nicely and it turns into something completely different from where it started. I sometimes forget it's a transmigratiom novel. The MC is very strong and capable, although a bit dense in terms of emotions. Maybe it's the quality of the translation but I feel her thoughts are a bit simplistic. It's very hard to get immersed in the story when the translation changes tense constantly and the structure of sentences and dialogue is choppy and awkward.

As for the FL, she starts off as very cold but... more>> is the first one to realize her feelings for the MC and is more open about it. Regardless, her character is always described as weak and fragile. There must be a million scenes of her being grabbed by the waist and rescued. She does have a backbone though, but the story places too much emphasis on martial arts, flying and Qing Gong so our FL seems a bit useless in this department.

I love that the core characters are all female and there is another developing romance with a pair of side characters that is amusing to read. However, I think there are parts that may be a bit too draggy. The romance is very sweet and fluffy. There is rarely any angst, so if you are looking for that you might be disappointed.

Overall, it's a good yet simple story. There's nothing too complex about it and the characters are probably too on the surface to make you really care for them but they are fun and their interactions are sweet. <<less

A potentially interesting story marred by a terrible translation. The writing is so stiff and filled with grammatical errors, I'd dare to say the finished text is just a small step better than DeepL mtl, and many times it's actually worse. Shame, I was looking forward to reading this after seeing the reviews. Avoid if you're a person who have little patience for bad translation.

so far the story is really good chi li and lou yi's romance is going on really well and they got rid of s*um yun kui very fast, he does show up a little later but I don't think it's a major show up part. But I'm just wondering why chi li is kinda partially mean? Not too sure what would be the right word for it? To other characters that have done nothing wrong D: I can kinda get why she does it but not really at the same... more>> time. Of course it's not gonna stop me from reading the novel but it has made me like it a little bit less. Overall good story to read so far i'd give it a 4 or 3.5 for now. I also don't give many 5 stars so yea. <<less

I really enjoyed this!

They both have their own unique personality and it is pretty consistent all through out the story.

Love the problems and dangers that occurs and I like how things don't always go their way. The way they fight for each other in their own way <3 I wanna have a partner like Luo Yi huhu she loves MC so much.

and their love story is just right. The FL didn't automatically had feelings for MC just because she suddenly changed. It took time before she started trusting her.. And... more>> MC trusted her enough to let her know that she's from another world.

I just wish that

- Xin ran had her own love interest so she won't be a fifth wheel. I sometimes pity her but she's just such a jolly and simple person hahaha.

- They brought Wan Jin back to North territory after the war. Like, the girl isn't a bad person.. She just wanted to follow MC. She travelled to yan country alone for MC. But they left her there. The girl had no relatives and all. And when they went back to yan country she's still there taking care of the house. Ughhh heartbreaking. : ((Hoped she was xin ran's love interest huhu)

- Helped that girl who helped her at the brothel so she can lead a better life even as a servant. Sure they had conflicts at first but at the most crucial moment she helped her too. Like even if MC gave her silver, the risk she took to hide the MC when she was being chased was too big.

Really well written. There's a lot of cute and sweet moments, some excellent drama and places where the plot has you on the edge of your seat, and overall it's quite satisfying to read. I liked it so much I had to read ahead on mtl and it was great.
