If anything, it reminds me of the generic oneshots found all over mangahere (heroine doesn't give a ___ for the hottest boy -> male confronts her and becomes interested -> wants to go out and she falls in love -> becomes couple -> happily ever after... well okay, not the exact plot, but you get the idea), except in a novel version, but it might be good for someone looking to kill time.

Generic generic generic. It's like reading any random shoujo in light novel form. MC is a plain Jane with literally no redeeming features whose lack of personality attracts the world's best guy. I was fine with it at first, seeing as it's an alright read, but once it got to chapter 16
Spoiler

when she's ganged up on by Gilbert's jilted ex-lovers (never seen that plot point before *sarcasm*)

[collapse]
that I just couldn't do it anymore. Even in a moment of crisis, the MC is still as lively as a block of cement. First off, I don't understand why she spend so many chapters being confused; it was a pretty clear cut situation from the get go. But even after she finally uses her brain and understands what's happening, her shoddy attempts at protecting herself only serve to fill out the author's word quota before she's rescued by the male lead just in time. I don't know if I'd call it painful or just disappointing, but there's nothing about this that would prevent me from confusing it with hundreds of other shoujo stories in school settings I've come across.

Maybe I'll try again when it's completely translated and I have nothing to do.

Unfortunately the late chapters are no longer available. But I can firmly say that I have enjoyed reading for once, a story of a heroine that doesn't immediately falls in love with the ML. Instead, she starts to question his sanity and calls out his overbearing attitude.

Finally! A breath of fresh air for me! Though it was short lived, I still enjoyed it. Even though the plot wasn't that exciting for me, I still wanted to keep going for the MC.

It was a shocking beginning, and then the impression of the ML falls faster than a skydiver without a parachute.

If it weren't for the sidestories depicting him as a somewhat airheaded, awkward guy who was actually honestly wanting a lovely dovey relationship, I would have wanted to lynch him.

After that, slow fluffy romance, plus drama for spice.

3 stars for average plot, +1 star for initial MC reactions, -2 star for her being lovestruck after that horrendous chapter 5, and what seems to be a personality shift, judging from her initial... more>> reactions back in Ch1. <<less

While common theme I still greatly enjoyed these few chapters. The translation is good, magic, funny with a bit realistic touch for it to be interesting. I have to say it is quite refreshing. I do hope it would be continued

This is typical story about almost perfect ML fell in love with an average girl (MC) because somehow she's different from other women around him. At first, his motive wasn't pure. He planned to make MC a "baby making machine" because of her rare constitution. Then he fell in with her for real.

Despite his "disgusting" motive, I'm amazed by how quickly MC fell for him too. Speaking about MC, she's my least favorite character in this story. I don't mind if she was weak and had an inferiority complex in... more>> the beginning but at least I wish to see her becomes stronger and stands on her own feet in the end. Yes I know she had a rare magic type but she couldn't show it anyway because it'll make her as a target.

And the reason why ML's family could accept MC and ML's marriage despite her being a commoner makes me disappointed.

Spoiler

MC's father is actually a duke's son who chose to live as a commoner. So, it makes MC a legitimate granddaughter of some powerful duke in the kingdom.

[collapse]

Really? I initially look forward to see how MC and ML manage to persuade his powerful family to accept MC. I expect that MC will have some extraordinary achievements that proves her worthy as ML's wife despite her status as a commoner. But in the end, MC is still that average girl. <<less

Probably the most irritating part about this novel is how the MC is so weak and lame. The author definitely tries to make her worthy of the ML in the end, but that's only on paper. She doesn't do much even if she has the ability. She acts inferior and becomes inferior. The gender inequality between the two main characters is drastic and nauseating, take for example their age (which affects their respective knowledge on magic), appearance, lineage, and magic powers ... more>>
Spoiler

especially when only the ML benefits from their "consorting".

[collapse]

The ML is also aggravating. The author's attempt to make him 'an airhead' to make him more relatable and even out his OPness just makes him seem s*upid.

Spoiler

The author presents a major conflict in the beginning about the MC potentially being used as a baby making machine by the ML's family in the beginning. This is an interesting idea and the MC's reaction was good. However this all goes down the drain because the two protagonists fall in love. To be fair the author addresses that the reason this isn't a barrier in their love is BECAUSE they're in love and don't care about all external factors. Basically, it's a s*upid reason.

[collapse]
Overall, the plot is kinda missing. They love each other and it's very fluffy. I think the reason for why they like each other is also not convincing. Apparently the MC is different from other girls. And the ML is just a regular human despite being perfect. <<less

This is a very mushy cliche romance story, so if you want something to pass the time then I recommend this novel. It's also good after a tragedy or something lol.
