So much fluff ??

It's all cute easy read, your typical overbearing (wife-slafe) gong x cute shou.

No heavy plot or anything either, so don't worry if you only have a single braincell left ?.

I'll give this novel a 4.5 rounded up. It's actually pretty cute! The MC is a insecure little fish that slowly grows to be a little more confident as his career gets more successful and on the right side of naive to make it adorable when he doesn't realize how creepy he technically is being when he steals the ML's stuff. The plot of the novel is pretty good but I wish there wasn't a time skip somewhere in the middle when the MC is giving birth. They must've had... more>> it pretty hard during that time and I wanted to read it cause I enjoy emotional pain.

Now... most people would have a problem with the ML. It's not that he's an awful person but it just makes very little sense when he suddenly goes all mafia boss on you. I get that he's rich but there is a difference between being purely rich and being related to the shady businesses. The author even brought up the ML's family and none of them have any hand in the underground so sometimes you're left wondering "hm... was that legal?" and "hm... how were you able to do that?" when the ML goes off the clear the MC's obstacles. BUT! if you actively ignore these, it's a pretty decent read! <<less

This is an easy to mtl read; no dog blood drama, chapters upon chapters of miscommunication and all sort of cliches. It is a fluffy, cute read that just hints at underlying darkness eg.

  • Am I seeing this right? A comedy tag really?
  • When I read this story I thought it would be a fluffy story, but I got scammed again
Here the MC and the ML can't really trust each other because they are different species, one's a human while the other is a mermaid, coupled with the fact that

Spoiler alert (I don't know how to use that spoiler thingy)

MC's friend almost got killed by his lover because he revealed that he was a mermaid, in his lover's eyes their child is like... more>> a commodity, and their whole tribe almost got reaveled.

There's a lot of drama here and this isn't a comedy, it even involve racial problems.

The MC didn't trust the ML and just left with their child.

If MC's other friend didn't get pregnant and needed the baby's father tragedy could've been this story's ending. <<less

It's a nice story which is easy to read and doesn't have any huge conflict. Despite the tag being comedy, I can't sense the humor in it. It's rather being drama and fluffy from my point of view.

I dislike the ML for him being disbelief in MC. He monitors every movement of MC and even secretly dig MC secrets + crossing many MC rules. Also, he's a bad father. I feel like he just doesn't have any boundaries with his children esp. His son. The action of taking Xiaozi as... more>> a bait in his plan despite knowing that he's only a baby makes me burn. Like, where's his sanity as a human being?! As the time being, he also makes a deep rivalry feeling on his son toward MC.

Another flaw, this novel has a setting condition where the ML is able to control everything on the way and never landing on failure. It's too perfect to be true and doesn't realistic for me. <<less

The book's start is really great, the MC is cute, ML is nice, things are going well. But...I have some problems right now and might edit later when I'm done MTLing.

*spoiler ahead* I'm sorry, I don't know how to use the spoiler thingy.

I find it odd how Lin Cheng believes rumours about ML and Miao Miao (hope I got the spelling right). I mean, this is the entertainment circle and as all showbiz emphasize on, DO NOT BELIEVE IN RUMOURS. Again, the side characters always conveniently interrupt the MC or... more>> ML when they're having important thoughts or a conversation. What really pissed me off in chapter 22 is when Cheng tries to throw ML off MCs tracks, hello? Isn't the main point for the MC to be able to get some 'aura' from the ML, how is that going to be possible when the ML isn't curious about the MC anymore?

It is a bit annoying how the side characters (mainly on the MCs side at the moment) seem to interfer a bit too much in his life and he just lets it happen, like a cute baby, I can't deny it, he is so cute. <<less

The Gong in this novel is bad. Has criminal tendencies and lacking in common sense. I read to chapter 74ish, and just, I couldn't hold on until the end of the story. It felt like I was sitting at the edge of my seat, only to be frustrated every time. I just felt exhausted. It was okay-ish reading. Just not my cup of tea.

This is a fantasy story added with splash of modern knowledge and the element of I'll write whatever fit the fluff story.

So, no need be like me, be confused and scratching my head over the 'this is not scientific and totally impossible for people/authority to not be involved' complains.

Only need to know, this is a very sweet, fluffy story, with kids too. And the MC is not that s*upid or naive either, tho it's thanked to his ability to detect lies and aura. He's actually pretty capable to stand on... more>> his own feet (pun not intended). <<less

Dk if anyone has talked about it but.. the last two chapters (extras) might be they first encounter, just imagine it or myb it is🤔😂... but because of that herb? that can turn MC tail to two pair of legs have memory lost as side effect, and ML bump his head from pushed down the stairs, which might caused him to lose memory too.. both can't remember about each other but left with familiar feeling when meet.. the ml's mom might not remember too but only feel familiar about MC because they only meet years ago and not that much of face-to-face interaction between the two.. actually just wanted to review myself of what I read to understand what actually happened🤣

Anyway, it's a good read.. silly and cute.... weird also as how no one noticed MC, a celebrity always went to ml's house or always there with him.. even tho he wearing a mask to cover his face, aren't he gorgeous (there a word to describe it but I don't remember) but it seems like no one can tell it's him??.. and no fans or paparazzi ever taken they photo for scandal things, just wanted to see how ML and MC react to the hot search of them actually😂 dumb review🤷🏻‍♀️ <<less

Nothing like the Summary... Nothing!!!!

Also... Surprisingly (?) The story contained Dog Blood. Though not Heavy or Angsty, but it was Intense!

It was Fun reading. And exciting!

I liked all the non Evil/Villainous characters. MC, ML, ML's family members, the Side CP, side characters. They're likable!

But the novel does has flaws...

The inconsistent use of MC's ability knowing when people lie.

I forgot if it was only MC who has this power or other mer-people also has this specific ability. But the fact is MC doubting ML's words or not even knowing a little white (funny) lies, does makes me a little annoyed.

It create Drama that shouldn't happen, or at least not too long.

Where is the promised fluff and comedy? This story was very angsty according to me. The ML is too cold and even when he loves the MC he is not exactly the trusting type or even romantic, I almost felt I could pity him, even if he found a partner, the start of the entire thing was accidental and annoying. Anyway, even the MC is annoying, like he can tell truth and lies apart but he doesn't get the ML at all. There is no love between the MC and... more>> ML, at least I didn't feel anything. Instead there is trust issue because of racial difference. The cousin of MC is always dictating MC's life and I almost dropped the story because of him interfering all the time, I am not exaggerating. Also, if the MC needed the ML's help, he should have approached honestly, but despite knowing that ML is single he kept away from ML, hiding from him, not approaching him, always misunderstanding things. Also, I don't get the fun in the plot as other reviews suggested, I wanted to read something cute and gentle, but I was disappointed. Although the story isn't bad, I am just disappointed to note that there was nothing sweet in the story, everything felt forced and even odd. There are so many misunderstandings, lies, angst.... sigh. Alas, thanks to the translators I got to read another merman fic, even if I was disappointed, I am greatful to read another story. The part of the story which wasn't translated, I read on mtl. <<less

In my opinion it was very good.. but I felt very sorry for ML and sometimes pity for MC.. the children and side couple is also cute.. and to finish this I went to different websites to get a good translation but didn't get it.. so it affected my enjoyment in reading.. it's cute, heartwarming...I felt very pity for Lin Qing (subjected to experiments) for experiencing betrayal and losing his son at the same time.. The novel was very good..

first of all, the cousin of Jiang Yu, as said by other reviewers, is an annoying shit. I know he's doing it to protect Jiang Yu but come on. Not every human is a piece of scum okay? Like just let Jiang Yu choose his destiny for himself without you dictating how he shouldn't fall in love with Qing Shen but they can do the did because of the egg. Like bit*h you yourself is a who*e who got pregnant, shut up and don't even say anything. But the novel is good overall but the cousin, Lin Cheng does not have a good impression on me.

It is a light read, full of fluff, a nice touch of drama, but not dog-blood drama. I love their kids and escpecially the last extra chapters! It is also really easy to read by mtl

i so love this story.. right amount of face slapping.. well some plot holes but its fine.. and the villains are dealt with a little easily but its still fine.. the story is fluffy..❤️❤️❤️cute babies..❤️❤️❤️

my only complain is that I NEED MORRRREEEE...!!!haha

and that finishing touch got me noooooo....i I need them both to remember.. they are destined to each other..❤️❤️❤️
