I was pleasantly surprised when I started reading this. It flows well, and has plenty of character. The protagonist is likeable, even though he's cold, obsessive, and even quite anti-social. The only negative I have worth mentioning is a general bias against regression-type stories, though this doesn't seem to fall prey to the traps of foreknowledge. The protagonist's path diverges very heavily from his previous life, even though he's clearly influenced by the events of the future, and his knowledge hasn't interfered in the building of tension.

It's all been very... more>> believable, and I haven't encountered any major contrivances with the sequence of events thus far. As a vague example, he meets a group that becomes famous in the future, but it was due to the deliberate and believable actions taken by another character, not random chance. I'm particularly interested in how his relationship with the old knight will progress, and I'm hoping that his past-life friend has a larger role to play, since he was quite charismatic. <<less

Won't comment on plot since only read 6 chapters, but one part really rubbed me the wrong way - swordsmanship and power is somehow intertwined with life philosophy. Idea itself is not bad, "Praise the Orc!" did it, story's main theme - will to do the right thing in the face of hardship and despair can move the world - was very thought-provoking. However, here it doesn't land, Bihen wants to explore knight's honor to advance his swordsmanship and find a meaning in life, while Jung Ian/Crockta, in spite of... more>> his flaws, tries to be honorable warrior simply because he likes helping others/doing the right thing. It isn't the same! One aids others to help himself ascend in skills and spirit?, which devaluates chivalry, another for the honor itself. Also, supposedly it's medieval fantasy and MC intents to become a wandering knight, but worldbuilding reminds me a lot of Murim style novels and MC comes across as wandering monk beginning his asceticism journey. <<less
