One of my favorite novel, it has good funny moment I laughed so hard at some moment.

This is one of the rare novel where it only get better, other characters are not useless too each are usefull in their way.

The MC behaviour was really hilarous to see but toward the end he isn't even my favorite character since others characters are also so hilarous.

This also have not much romance and no harem

Some might see MC's attitude to be grating but its actually on point, sure MC has some memories of modern ethics but he was a literal king, chosen by literal gods for hundreds of years vs a couple decades of modern man, and no joke, a literal demigod what can you say to him?

You have a better shot at convincing current earth dictators about equality and ethics because at the very least they're fellow humans

I have read everything from start to end I wasn't disappointed. Everything from the characters to the sequence of events just breathe life to the story. There were ver many hilarious moments between the characters.

If you are familiar with the Fate series, this MC is something of a fusion between Gilgamesh and Arthuria.

How does that work exactly?

He values chivalry, honor, faith and valor like any holy knight would.... but he's got that Royal, capital R, self esteem to go along with it. Bow before me, you commoners! While also surprisingly being self aware that this kinda does clash with the modern worldview. But he does it anyway because reasons.

This novel puts a good twist on the whole gate and fantasy genre (saturated with raising skeleton mc's. No offence) and it's potential is very high.

It's off to a pretty strong start. The world building quickly becomes something similar to Warhammer Fantasy. MC was born, raised, and eventually ruled a kingdom resembling Bretonnia. He's a holy grail knight, a king, a devote a believer, a demi-god on crack with chivalry together with his knights (same spirit of old knight stories.). There's also orcs, holy grail, gods, the Empire,... more>> honor, demons, chaos, etc. The equivalent of the End times also happened, except the demons laid waste to the entire world, and in turn, the MC destroyed every demon.

Our MC is a racist againts orcs but there is an explanation for that in the novel. In MC reincarnated world people wants to make peace with the orcs along time ago but the orcs in this world just don't know how to talk things out. They always resolve things with violence like if they dont have much food they decide to raid (like 'there have food there lets go take it').

The story so far is very refreshing for Korean novels as most of them treat or make gods as evil scheming foes, to take advantage of, or to ens*ave and protagonist needs to take them down something like that.

Its a unique take on a tired formula adding Lawful Good religious fever with the authoritarian nature of Royalty in a modern setting is a receipt for a good read. <<less

As someone else put it, the main character is like a mix of king arthur and gilgamesh and I f*cking love it. It's like they took the best parts of both characters and expanded on it, creating a unique and fleshed out world. I binged all the chapters and crave more.

It's a fun read. Manga is out too and it's amazing. Unfortunately some gave it one start just because MC is paladin like character devoted to gods, which makes him religious.

Oh, and he's a racist who hates monsters and demons :D

Bro really just said this is my favorite novel, it gets one star. Last Human leaves me flabbergasted.

Anyways, lacking delivery but hilarious protagonist. Story structure is good, characters are developed and aren't just NPCs. Plot is still developing. The MC is absolutely hilarious.

really good novel... MC was probably a North Korean defector living a hard life in the south before dying and reincarnating into a royal family... and then the gate drama happened which is all the rage in Korean novels now... the great thing about this is the MC never shows any indication of a former earthling but lives true to his reincarnated identity of a King, even going as far as showing disgust to a handshake with a CEO of sorts...

The premise is pretty good, and the MC is likeable—well, if you like rude, arrogant royalty kind of MCs, which I do. And it's fun too read how characters from the modern era navigate around his behavior. The progression is your usual Korean novel: shít happens, people struggle, and then MC will save the day in the end, nonchalantly. The story itself isn't anything new, the Demon vs. The World thing, so far. But that's fine.

The downside is that it feels like getting preached about fantasy religion, again and again... more>> and again ad nauseam, while lightly jabbing here and there about a particular religion famous for explosions, which felt like something author should write in twitter instead of here in his novel. And all of that is personally a massive turn-off for someone who doesn't care one bit about religion, fantasy or not, like me.

I mean, normal infodump is fine, what are the gods and goddesses personalities like, their powers, their doctrines, etc.? All related things to the story are generally fine, but surely you don't need to justify to us why your fantasy religion is good and the best, correct and perfect, or whatever? Repeatedly at that. I am absolutely loving this. The MC is a super-powered badass who is killing demons and reforming the world in an Earth that his being attacked by demon gates.

This story has tons of action and fighting but also has a focus on development, so I think that it is save to expect a happy ending and it is fun to watch the MC develop his own guild and interact with people. There are some flaws that make this a 4 instead of a 5 but definitely give it a shot... more>> for some action with swords and magic. Also, there is a lot of focus on the knights and the MC's old knight order which leads to a tone more in line with chivalric orders and Western knights which honestly makes this one feel a little different from a lot of similar stories. <<less
