Jiang Shaoliu was just an ordinary man until the world experienced a cataclysmic event that caused animals to mutate and grow 10 times their size. Humans were also affected and gained extraordinary abilities. Inspired by the tales of Xianxia, comes a story that begins with the modern world as we know it and transforms it into an epic adventure with powerful beings and creatures, gruesome fights and the beginning of a legend trained by a giant monkey king and accompanied by a giant white tiger.

Only 19 chapters and already things aren't looking good. So far, every character in this story is either an idiotic goody-goody (like those guys who wanted to give the MC their fruit the first time they met, the same fruit which they were willing to fight to the death to defend just moments earlier) or an idiotic evil guy (like the guys who saw the MC riding on his mutant tiger and immediately demanded it without even considering how strong the MC has to be to be able to tame... more>> that thing... wtf is wrong with these people). Nobody in this story seems to have more than 2 brain cells.

The MC knows his sister is with an evil as*hole who desires the MC's powers, and has the chance to save his sister with minimal effort, yet chooses not to because he thinks the evil as*hole will not harm his sister as long as he thinks he can get the MC's powers. So...I guess he wants his sister to be a hostage to the evil a**hole? Why?

The proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for me was the MC's decision to use his full strength at the army's strength test. He justifies this by saying "I never used my full strength before so I want to know what it's like" but then... can't he do that literally anywhere else? Like, can't he just find a secluded location to test out his powers? That's probably just about the worst reason to show your full powers I can think of. So he shows his full strength in front of a bunch of strangers, does he think that's a good idea? The text showed that he doesn't even consider such a question.

2 stars for effort. <<less

So I have read till the last translated chapter, and it has been interesting, nothing completely new but enough to kill time, but I have to say that the timeline instory is absurd, in less that a year the world has changed way to mutch, not only had the beast and new fauna appeared, but civilization as we knew it has been completely oblitrated and rebuild, but we don't have the depressed post-apocalyptic scenario, no we have a completely new civilization with futuristic technologies, new allois, new and imporved weoponized... more>> industry that has pushed human technologies a few years ahead. And a completely setted Martial art comunnity with full Master poping out of the blue, celestial wepons and a catalogized new mystics fruits. There is a lot more of issues with this novel but well as I said at the beginning so far is entretaining enough to kill time. <<less

Since I started reading this novel, I've always had a pit in my stomach. It's not even a drama focused story (MC is OP), but everything is so bitter.

The way the author describes his story is just tear-inducing. Even when he talks about joyful, gentle things, like giving a powerful fruit to a child that helps him find his way, it's so bitter.

Because you think that's it's such a bad idea to give away his rare fruits when he has a limited amount and he needs them to become stronger.... more>> What's more, a kid carrying a treasure is bound to end in a disaster.
This is just one example of a common scene in the story, but everything else is the same. So bitter.

The author should be a drama genius. Only, he should focus his stories to this style since everything he writes end up so distressing. <<less
