Description
Links are NOT allowed. Format your description nicely so people can easily read them. Please use proper spacing and paragraphs. The tavern owner’s son, Ilya, often experienced the same dream. A dream in which he played in the village orphanage with his childhood friend, a boy whose appearance resembled an angel’s. A dream where he made soap with olives and soup with leftover vegetables. But the moment Ilya laid eyes on the picture of the “Icy Hero,” he realized that those dreams weren’t dreams at all; rather those were the memories of his past life. Most importantly, that “Icy Hero,” Riley, wasn’t angelic anymore?!

I wish I could give more. It's nice to see a story that explore what happens once the story ends, once the threat is gone and the battle is won. What's the price of being a hero? Can the hero even get a happy ending? Don't expect action or too many obstacles, this story is about trauma and healing from it, not suffering more...
Riley has so much leftover trauma from losing Allen when they were 12 that he never really become THE hero. He was moved by his desire to vengeance and pretended to be Allen because his memory of Allen was the only good thing left in him.
Ilya was dealt a better card, from being an orphan who died at 12 he reborns and gets to live 16 years in a nice family that loves and support him. Then he meets Riley and he has to face the knowledge that his sacrifice, no matter how much heroic, destroyed Riley to the core. That he hurt his best friend so much that the people around him are worried he'd turn into a Demon King.
And around them... Kenneth, the Knight who found them and acted as a parental figure and had to watch the life of these two children being destroyed by demons. Living his life with the burden of being unable to prevent that tragedy. Living knowing that the Prophecy always meant for Allen to die so that Riley could rise and be the hero.
Really everyone has a giant trauma to deal with. And they do.
