I know this is harsh for just barely having gotten started on reading this story. It probably does get better. But I don't see anything worth reading further for this story and that fact alone astounded me enough to write this review and keep this book in mind as an example of what not to look for when picking up a future story.

I tried to read this story with an open mind but I just got pissed while reading it. If you are more patient than I you'll probably discover... more>> something you like. I did not.

It's just that it goes way too fast with little to no reason to. Feels like the beginning got cut for some reason and we start with the middle of the story. And the problem with that is that you don't care anything about the characters yet the characters are going through some tough problems. You need to be invested in these characters to care about what they're going through and I just did not care. At all.

You would think a strong female MC in a world filled with dungeons would be interesting enough right? But somehow the creator just sapped all my initial expectations when reading this. And I put anime openings in the background to encourage me to read this! That usually gets me pumped up even if the story is boring. It feels like an adventure is starting! But surprise, that did not work at all.

And there was nothing else that fascinated me enough for me to deal with my utter lack of interest in these characters.

I normally would not write a review when I drop a novel this early in but this was a very rare phenomenon for me where I just did not care after like 3 chapters and then for two hours after I was torturing myself to read this. I am utterly baffled by the way this story just made me lose all interest immediately. Like you have all the right ingredients but how did you eff it up????? Confounded.

Edit bc I felt I was being a little mean: the story has promise, the translation is an A+. But what I read did not contain any detail that sparked an interest in me and that is incredibly weird. I have read some awfully written stories and even those made me more interested than this. Maybe someone else has a complex enough vocabulary to properly articulate what the hell the author did in the beginning that just turned me off because even I don't know. Felt like I was reading through a fog and I even tried to skim and nothing could get me to like this story. What a wild phenomenon. I think it was the pacing that was the key issue but its so hard to describe. Like the author presumes you love their characters from the start and proceeds to write their story that way, but you don't so you have to read for hours about characters you don't like going through some heavy stuff so you get frustrated but the author just keeps on going not realizing the fundamental problem. The house was unstable from the beginning of its construction. There is no foundation for anything else. <<less

It's alright.

I was looking forward to figuring out the story as I read but I just decided to drop it.

I will start by saying that I enjoy Female Main Characters and romance plotlines, that's not what this is about.

... more>> I'm just sick of every "strong female MC" instantly getting a harem of men who are fighting eachother over her like raccoons after taco tuesday.

They introduced a fine love interest that I wanted to learn more about and a maybe who could put some tension in the relationship if needed but adding a third and then making them have a childish d**k measuring contest in front of her just ruined it.

I will readily criticize female harems for this too. I'm just sick of stories with female leads always somehow making it about the male characters. <<less

A little surprised this doesn’t have any reviews yet.

There aren’t a ton of chapters at the moment, but the translation quality is good and each chapter is on the longer side, so it’s definitely worth checking out to see if it’s your cup of tea. I’m rating this with a preliminary 5 stars because it deserves some love and attention to get going, and it’s always good to give the translator some encouragement to continue ;)

So far we have ourselves an overpowered Hunter MC who has a past life... more>> as a badass knight. As she pokes around the Hunter/gate world, she begins to find odd connections to her previous world. Some interesting world-building that I hope bears fruit later.

Looking forward to finding a bit more about her past and present personal life and connections. So far we have only had hints. <<less

First of all, this is translated quite well. Some mistakes and sloppy pronouns/names, but really excellent context and flow - very well done. Ok, in regards to the story itself - This is a really interesting twist on the reincarnation story. I genuinely like it. Main character is a female warrior from a world similar to earth, that melds with a younger girl from an earth near our time in which gates have appeared. Starts out fast with not a lot of context but quickly gets you hooked and then... more>> begins slowing down to a very nice pace and catches up with itself in terms of setting and multiplying character relationship around the main. Not really a romance per se but this person and that person do notice one another and it is felt. Very interesting take on gates and dungeons and how they fit into things, though this is just starting to unfold as I hit the paywall. So, first 60ish chapters are free - and in my opinion extremely well written and enjoyable - but the next 130 (191 total with ending) chapters are behind a paywall. This wouldn't be so terrible but it will cost around $50 usd to finish this story. Just be warned. Some may feel it is worth it, but that's a bit steep for me - I didnt even pay that for all the Hobbit books, and that fellow actually wrote them and I had something to put on a shelf! I definitely feel translators should get paid for their work, and especially the good ones... but I struggle with groceries. So there you have it. If you can afford it, please purchase these chapters and read this great story and tell me what happens!!! <<less

Writing a review to support, the MC is really cool I love a badass female lead. So far I like it a lot and it’s good to give this a chance of course if you’re into this genre.

I'm not quite sure what to think of this novel. If you somehow change every gender here, the fMC to become male, the males to become females, it will turn out just like any of those reincarnation stories. You know... the MC is OP as heck, and the female leads are kinda strong but ultimately loses to the MC somehow in skill and wants his D. It's all very familiar. Maybe there's a stalker in the harem too.

Here, the same thing happens. Every male lead seems to become interested in... more>> the female protagonist super quickly. It's all very weird. Even the protagonist says she's a face-con and offers help because the teen boy is good looking. If you turn it the other way, a 30 year-old male protagonist offering help because the teen girl who's not an adult yet is pretty... Is this female protagonist actually a male protagonist in disguise?

I guess it could be a thing for female readers to finally have their ultra strong female lead, but I'll be skipping this. If I really want to read a wish-fulfillment novel, I would rather read from a male POV. Maybe beyond 28 chapters, there might be something interesting, who knows.
