I reincarnated into a novel that I’d read in my past life.

I’m destined to be the fiancé of the villain in the not-too-distant future, but that’s… Doesn’t it depend on how I live?

“My ideal type is 190 centimeters tall, handsome, rich and doesn’t get fat when he gets older!”

And then I saved the life of the young male protagonist before I even started looking for him?

My plan to have a smooth, carefree life has been ruined ever since!

“I’m sorry, but Ariel said ‘I can’t take my eyes off the prettiest and handsomest people in the world.’ ”

“What? Me?”

“I’m – I’m sorry, I’ve been very rude. Please forget my proposal!”

“Wait! No! Please Wait!”

As he watched me feel increasingly guilty towards him, a supposedly broken-hearted person, he raised the corner of his mouth.

It's not bad. A li~ttle bit better than average. It might get better or worse in the future but as of now, it's worth reading.

Plot: The plot is not very inconsistent. There are some plot holes but they're not very obvious or extremely illogical. But the starting of the story (first few chapters) was a bit confusing and the writing was not very good either. It's advisable to be patient in the start. In conclusion, it's not a bad plot.

Characters: I'd say the main characters are pretty good. They act... more>> their age. MC is 20 and ML is 15. MC wasn't born with the knowledge of her past life, she remembered it and this happened before the story started. The og book was just something she read in passing, it wasn't to her taste and she barely remembers important plot points. And even after remembering, though she tries to avoid BE, she's not obsessed with it. She's frank, outspoken but she's averagely smart with basic common sense. Most importantly, she's not dense and she properly reacts to it.
Spoiler

She figured out ML has a crush on her and she properly rejected him with a proper reason. Her reason was that she doesn't like younger guys (he's a minor) and she has no romantic intentions towards him which is the truth. I think it's a much more proper reason than something like social standing or a fake lover. Her rejection was pretty straight forward too and I almost felt a bit bad for the ML as she emphasised the fact more than once.

[collapse]
ML had a rough life, but he's not very vengeful or cold. He planned on enduring and living but changed his mind after a mu*der attempt. He's pretty guarded but since he's still just a teenager, he can't act cold all the time. After getting close to the FL, he starts acting like an awkward tsundere. But he'll probably become black-bellied smarter after growing up. The side characters barely have any screentime, only 2 of FL's brothers and an assassin is named. They appear every now and then but leave soon enough. But I still like FL's relationship with her brothers a lot. The author invested 90% in the leads and 10% in the side characters. Idk the villain, only his name appeared till now.

Translation: I've seen worse and I've seen better. The translation is confusing as the use of pronouns sucks. But only the 2 leads talk most of the time, so I can somehow figure out who's talking. I think the author's writing style is also a bit responsible for this. But even though it's confusing, surprisingly it doesn't trigger me as much as other bad translations do. I think a better use of tense and (comparatively) good sentence structure is the reason.

Overall, I recommend reading this novel. It deserves a chance. I rated 3.6 which rounded up to 4. <<less

Plot progression is so freaking weird in this novel. There is very little character development, so everything comes across as hollow and rushed. The translations are fine, but this story just makes me feel like I'm missing something or I'm reading a spoiler article for a different novel
