I enjoyed the story a lot so I feel like it's necessary to give some warnings to people and also explain why the low rating despite saying I enjoyed it.

So there is a character introduced relatively early on. She is super obviously a villain and up to no good. Yet somehow nobody ever notices so when she betrays and kills all the main character group including the MC, it was seriously extremely frustrating. Seriously there is even a mind reader member of the team, and the fact that she can't read the minds of this girl or her maid aren't a warning sign? I wanted to scream. Anyway one member of the group survives and through a mix of time f*ckery magic and other stuff manages to train for a few years and then return to a week or so before every one was killed. So she lets everything play out exactly the same (WHY?!) but then overturns the situation with her knowledge. All the bad guys end up escaping and then the story ends with a sort of, well we survived but now we know we have a major enemy out there so let's be ready.

Also there's no romantic payoff or anything whatsoever so don't expect anything of that sort either.

As other reviewers have said, this story is good for the most part. I've read the author's other work, and I really enjoy their writing style. The characters are expressive and fun. The combat is good. Maybe not great, but I think that about anything short of Lord of the Rings. The only downside this story faces is the ending. It has a, 'and the adventure continues' ending. I don't mind the sad stuff and weird time travel near the end, but it having a non-ending really does stink. Translation quality remains decent. Some sections which should be quoted text aren't, but this is fairly easily differentiated. For those who don't have a stomach for it be aware there are relatively dark themes of abuse and su*cide past the prologue. So far minor s*avery plot points but if you like to stay clear of that be aware it is touched on lightly here. Plot is still at a point where most of the key parts haven't yet been linked or properly explained (this is fine for... more>> c3) so I will refrain from dicussing until later chapters. Novel Tags effectively sum up the plot so far.

There are some time jumps back and forth so I'm not sure if there's a main timeline or if you'll be swapping back and forth between the two but for people who dislike that sort reading experience you may want to pass on this.

Preliminary rating holds at 4/5 for the meanwhile.

Original Review:

Only one chapter to go off so far, but translation quality appears to be fine. On wattpad so there's no obvious dark mode if this is a turn-off to you.

Common JP style novel with short single or double-sentence paragraphs. A number of sections are just conversation in sequential order with few breaks between and nothing much to distinguish the speaker, though from my experience this is common with JP novels.

Slow romance tag rings true, as of yet nothing in the prologue. Prologue also includes relatively little exposition or significant background information/character development so I can't speak much to the characters or world yet.

Prologue is a quick 2-4 minute read so no harm in taking a quick check to see if you enjoy the premise.

4-star preliminary rating for nice translation quality and a mildly interesting start. Will revise this review at later chapters. <<less
