Judging from the collar ML is holding on the cover, and some hints about his personality in the first few chapters, I'd be surprised if we don't have to add 'obsessive love' and 'possessive love interest' to the tags in the future :P Which I love in my romance novels, would hate it IRL!

Heya, it's Ame! Another novel done and out ^^ TLDR: a decent novel to laugh and pass time with. Don't expect too much romance (the leads' r/s is more subtle). Frankly, I'll rate this a 4/5, but let me add an extra star for my sweat and tears

Eristella and Heinricion. How should I say it? They are a great, supportive pair. Eristella is headstrong, particular, but soft. Heinricion is calm, aloof, but gentle. Despite there being misunderstandings, both were able to separate their personal differences for most part when the... more>> other one was in trouble. Thankfully, the past misunderstandings were solved pretty fast, and from there on, it's black magic hunting time! I seriously love how Heinricion begrudgingly followed all of Eristella's ridiculous plans.

I like how Eristella's growth was handled - yes, she learned she could trust others and there were people who love her too, but old habits die hard, and sometimes, one could revert back to their old personality. I do feel that Heinricion as a character has more to show, but I have come to realise and enjoy that this novel is pretty much 'The Eristella Show' and Heinricion is her constant support.

If Heinricion is Eristella's support, then the villain is her foil. What Eristella could have become if not for the support she has. The climax of the novel feels kind of anti-climatic, but I quite like how it's put

However, I must say that, the climax thing aside, there's a bit left to be desired. There was a ton of fluff and funny scenes, but I wish there were more romantic or even hot scenes. A longer "after the crisis" arc would have been nice too. Like... when is Eristella and Heinricion's wedding? Are they even getting married?

Maybe it's time for me to start a prayer circle for side stories?

Actually, I wonder if the series was axed by the publishers or the author had to finish it up quickly due to personal reasons. Quite a number of comments in the Korean side were surprised at it's short length and how quick the ending developed.

I like the relationship between the FL & the ML. The FL seems cold but when you read it all, it kind of sad how lonely her life has been and all she secrets she had to keep. I am looking forward to see how their relationship will grow as right now they don't seem to confident enough to open up about things to each other. <<less

The chemistry between the lead's is so cute and funny! Shapeshifters are my weakness, they always bring fluff to stories. I'm liking it so far, give it a try guys!

Okay first I'm gonna mention Bluebell TL is amazing and I love ame and their projects ^^

Anyway, at first I pretty enjoyed the story. Romance was progressing and we could see glimpses of what MC is really up againt but as it got closer to end, everything fell apart.

1. At first romance was going smoothly and at some point we get to see ML being obsessive and jealous but suddenly romance was pushed to back and we only had a confession scence which wasn't satisfying and ofc it was ignored... more>> (-) _ (-)

2. It was multiple times mentioned MC worked alone and she didn't ask for help from anyone but "suddenly" in the last chapters we got to know she had a group helping her from behind!! In first chapet it was written that she had no one to turn to so she had no choice but to go to ML. But if she had known them, why didn't she go to them instead?! Lots of leapholes.

3. Her brother's name was "emperor".

4. When we got to know backstory of main "villain" I was looking forward to his confrontation but we didn't get any. It left a bitter tast in my mouth since. I srsly needed to see climax of this story but it was lost.

5. Last chapters were so rushed. I had to mention it again lol

Started off amazing, but a crazy rush at the end. It feels as though the author became bored or uninspired.

• The first 80 chapters are fun. Cute, with mysteries laid out and waiting to be explored.
• The next 40 though... meh.
• About the mystery, I personally find the villain origin and climax is interesting and unique.
• The romance pay-off is lacking. Slow burn is fine, but Eristella kept teasing Heinricion and both just not saying anything about their relationship until the sudden abrupt confession at the end is just... meh. Makes me think the author has never been in a relationship before and so all she knows is the childlike teasing kind of flirting.
• NO SIDE STORIES. Come on, if there are and there are more romance in it, I can still justify the lack of romance in the main story as 'Eristella's journey to break free from her past'
• On the topic of breaking free from her past, what's the point of the isekai and regression part? Why do we need both isekai and regression?

2 stars, but +1 because of Bluebells. I realised I'm not the only one who loves their humour and amazing TLs.

2 for the story +1 for Ame, because I love them.
I wanted to love this novel fully and really tried but I ended up finding it extremely dry. I don't even mind the mediocre endings in this genre however there wasn't much excitement in it for me.
The main problem is that the author has a very anticlimactic way of telling. The plot was progressing, yes, but not a single event left a single flavor in my mouth. Their relationship in the beginning was portrayed in a cute way, especially ML was showing symptoms of obsessiveness... THEN the chemistry between the two became a background topic. Like in a way that you don't even feel the dynamic anymore. So, I randomly checked chapter 93 and saw Ame's note on what's happening: "At the rate they're going, mushrooms will grow on me before they even have their first kiss TT_TT ".... Thanks for writing that. Thanks for saving me from this waiting hell.
(Tbh, I don't mind waiting but there HAS TO BE FLUFF moments filling the absence of romance.)

Feeling bad again for leaving a bad review. Much love to the Bluebells in Bloom group. Their translations are top-tier.

Cute story. Surprisingly good plot. Some character development (the leads). Good balance between the ML and FL, neither is the helpless type. Warm and fluffy with sprinkles of humor. Very, very good translation! This should rate higher IMHO.

A short, mindless, easy-to-digest read. The FL in her fox form is just so cute. The ML is sweet and supportive, but nothing special. The FL is definitely the main star. But halfway through it does feel like the author became bored of her own story halfway through and just rushed through to the ending.

however, although I read this to the end I am just honestly disappointed with most of it. The romance is dry, forced and boring. It started out great and had great potential only for it to disapppoint even more. The main plot conflict is such a drag, no interaction between characters leave a lasting impression and everyone feels so flat and 2D...i held out to the end hoping i'd finally get to see the results of a... more>> slow burn but honestly I had to wait only for the last chapter till they just abruptly decide to be together. Sure you could say they are building their relationship throughout the novel and oh its a slow burn but nahhh no tension, no 'moments', no ambiguous period or sweetness/fluff or any quality interactions tbh...i definately think this could have been done a lot better. it was subpar and makes me feel like someone should be working harder to translate better novels out there than this one here. This doesnt even have an element of comedy to it either that would boost the novel.

Anything above 3 starts is overly exaggerated IMO for how flat the characters, world building, plot and romance is.

It's a okay read. One thing I like is how nice and structurly the story flows. However it feels... incomplete? Too fast paced? It's like this novel is two steps forward from story outline and sceens tick boxes but one step away from a complete novel? It feels like... suddenly this and suddenly that? For example, character Sonia and Charlotte whose appearance were so sudden and serves only as plot reason. Really too bad since it has solid basic plot outline and good main characters' dynamic.
