This is a therapeutic romance novel that mixes psychology and science fiction.

Lu Jia’er is a professor in psychology who is able to read the minds of anyone in the world. One day, she meets a special man, a legendary genius in the IT world rumored to be ugly—Jin Xiangdong.

In fact, he’s not ugly, and it’s love at first sight for Lu Jia’er. This is compounded by the fact that she can’t read his mind. To figure out what’s so “special” about him, Lu Jia’er accepts his invitation to join an artificial intelligence research team. In her spare time, she would pursue him.

She: “Can I chase after you?”
He considers for a few seconds. “It wouldn’t be easy!”
She: “That’s what I call a challenge!”
He gives her a friendly reminder. “Time is precious. Don’t waste it.”

Turns out that he was right. Not only is he difficult to chase, but he is also mysterious.

When the secrets slowly unravel, what kind of ending could it be?

Spoiler

I was intrigued at first but I started it because I enjoy novels with a lead character that has a strong female. The chapters were short, easy to read, even though the genre was not clear. As I read the first few chapters, I was not sure if this novel was a cold dominating ceo type novel; later it looked like it might be a crime psychological thriller; later it seemed like it might be a combination. But I was wrong.

Just when it seemed the ML & FL relationship started to heat up after a 5-day vacay with some hot scenes... the FL lead disappears. The FL reappears later in the hospital with a new boyfriend, having lost all memory of the ML, and not even able to recognize the ML.

After more intrigue and mysteries it turns our the FL is an AI, and there is foreshadowing that he to is not 100% human.

By the end the whole novel is confusing and tries to clarify that it is all about a science experiment on AI advancing to yet another phase of testing.

It was a very confused book with, unsurprisingly, a disappointing ending.

Definitely too early to rate something but the risk she took to save someone she doesn't know just made me drop the novel straight away. I'm allergic to s*upid, moral bound MC's. Yop those with Savior wannabe syndrome.
Furthermore that Su Han female living with the MC. Any introduction? Suddenly, she's in the novel with no info about her?

Maybe from a moral point of view what she did is admirable, but -IN MY PERSONAL OPINION- risking your life to save someone you don't know isn't logical.
