At first, I was mildly intrigued. The protagonist, for once, is not cast in the mold of some celestial beauty, which I found to be a welcome departure from convention. However, whatever novelty that offered was swiftly undone by the chaotic narrative that followed.

The central union arises not from affection or even reluctant duty, but from an incident most unpleasant: the protagonist becomes with child after being forcibly taken by the male lead; an act brought on by a medicinal concoction provided by... more>> the protagonist himself. Said potion, it is worth noting, was not even intended to serve as an aphrodisiac, yet inexplicably had precisely that effect. Because, evidently, logic must yield to melodrama in such tales.

Fairly good story with one giant plot hole at the end. Some answers given for background in the extras, but it seemed to end abruptly with little explanation as to why characters made the decisions they did.

Having said that, it was still an enjoyable read. They couple was great together. I hope to see the other couples' stories as well someday.
