The story is fine up until 300s and then it gets messy real quick. It becomes this cycle of MC in disguise in a new country, saving heroine a from poisoning or near death, sweet talking heroine b with his new disguise, and fooling around with heroine c from an earlier arc. Eventually he solves the issue and installs his people in power. Repeat 5x.
The problem is that the author goes from introducing new and interesting characters mainly female leads, and just replaces them. Normally that would be fine in a harem story, but the replacements become more and more bland, the romance gets worse, and the MC recycles his old sweet talking moves over and over.
In addition, the MC becomes so powerful, yet he never kills. If he’s not getting poisoned, he’s beating people up and repeatedly sparing them- mainly so the author can reuse the villains- and keep the plot coherent without making a new character. Think Naruto able to kill Orchimaru day 1 but keeps letting him escape so the author can write the same chunin exam and fifth hokage plot. In my opinion, what’s the point of making him strong then!?
Other issues, well the author forgets characters and drags out drama. I’ve heard the ending is really unsatisfactory, and I’m not going to read another 1000 chapters of the same plots over and over.
I recommend 300 chapters then moving on.
