This is my first time reading a cooking novel, so my review might be biased.

I loved it! Very fluffy. No revenge plot, unnecessary conspiracies. The MC isn't bitter, angry nor vengeful.

I just want to say that this is a good novel to pass time by, for me. Because after reading a long and full of treacherous character novel this is a refreshing read. You won't need to think too much, just enjoy the flow of the story and ignore all non sense things.

4/5 is my real response

I liked it. Reading it made me hungry.

I greatly appreciated the recipe list in the footnotes. I did save some and I'm planning to try them this lockdown period. I already made some Chinese tomato with eggs. Basic. I know but it tasted different from the normal egg with tomato. It was more soupy? Idk but I felt warm after eating it.

I'm almost done reading. I'm here to just thank the translator.

It's so very cute and I liked the variety show aspect towards the end. Gave it a bit more of an interesting kick. The food introduced was also delicious sounding though to be fair I started skipping through them towards the end.

A very good story, and very rare of how the author consistently wrote cooking as the main base.

However, I unedrstand, for me cooking is enjoyable when you can picture it, so manga or movie/drama are the best for me.

Other than that....I couldnt wait to finish it and just put it down because it got boring fast XD

I loved this, I really did. The food sounded (and the pictures looked) yummy and the couple was cute.

There is just one last thing I would want: a third extra where a few years had passed and they'd had children,

A soothing novel. Despite the large portion of food related thing (which I love), the storyline remained unpertubed; it keeps moving forward smoothly and nicely. I don't feel bored at all.

Interesting in the beginning, but then it gets boring as there's not only description of cooking (which are interesting), but longer and longer with each chapter descriptions of how the food looks.

And we have a society that has been living on a fully vegan and cruelty free diet for a long time and then suddenly killing animals in public is fun because is cooking? If they have science advanced enough to recreate long lost ingredients they should use the same technology to produce meat without producing animals (we can... more>> produce artificial meat today, it isn't cruelty free because for now meat coming from animals is used in some parts of production).

So the science makes no sense to me and the story keeps getting more boring. ML and his brother are op like gods. <<less

It's was great in the beginning and then and then and theeeen it was the same thing over no development between Ruan Tang and HYC. Live cooking so and that's like 88% of it. It wore even me down and I'm usually a sucker I'll excuse alot if things are moving but things just aren't going anywhere really.

I'll take a moment to say this though the translator is excellent. This review is a reflection of my opinion on the story not the translator. XIIN does great work

the story is very nice to read though I wish that the romance part started at the mid of story so there's more intimate moments between MC and ML.

funnies part ever would be the comments of his fan so hilarious!! The ending was kind of rush to me wish there could be more to further solidate the relationship of the two.

the recipes provided by this book enriched my cooking skills!!! That's a big plus for a foodie like me.

Okay so!!! The story so far? Eh. Bland. Male lead and love interest both are likable but neither have anything particularly interesting or "human" feeling about them.

The cooking aspect is all over the place - honestly they could be ANY kind of live stream since the good parts of the cooking sections are just audience reactions.

There might be a mystery element that COULD get added in future chapters

But I feel like that's unlikely. It will likely get resolved quickly like everything else in the story.

Why did I rate it so high then? Well. It's bland but it's not bad. It's just a little sweet. Im excited to see the relationship between our leads develop. And while it isn't anything special it's still fun and entertaining.

Not to mention how great the translator is!!! Updates are super often. Translator always does a good job. The author seems to have also had decent writing skills to begin. I enjoy the consistency of it. <<less

Super cute and fluffy (so far) !!!!!!!!

The description for the recipes and eventual dishes are mouth watering and very tempting!

And the comments (and antics) of the netizens chatter are hilarious! ? Definitely a plus for a light hearted read! ??

I gained a few kilos while reading this, as I always had to have something in my mouth while reading. Every chapter has delicious food descriptions and the plot kinda happens around the food. It's a good novel for foodies or if you want to learn new recipes. However, do have something to eat prepared nearby...
