A very cute story about a little fresh meat MC Jiang Chi, and a Film Emperor ML Ye Lan. Jiang Chi is a huge fanboy of Ye Lan and gets into the cast of his gay arthouse film, Scum, to get closer to him.

Ye Lan is the sexy scoundrel type who loves to tease the MC, and watch him get embarrassed. Once he realizes that he's interested in the MC, it becomes a super adorable mutual chasing story.

There isn't a whole lot of dogblood drama or faceslapping, but it's... more>> also not just fluff. I really liked the personalities of both characters. Although Jiang Chi is quiet and introverted, he isn't a weak-willed character at all. He's a hardcore fanboy who knows exactly what he wants. On the other hand, although Ye Lan seems like a chilly and unapproachable male god on the outside, he's actually super laid back and a hilarious guy who does stuff like calling himself "daddy" and getting in fights with the media.

The male lead's personality is kind of similar to Lu Zhou from Feitian's Golden Assistant, and the plot has some similarities to one of my favourite danmei novels, The Star Around The Sun, although it's more fluffy and less dark.

If you enjoy fairly fast-paced entertainment industry novels, you will probably like this! <<less

not bad, it has it's moments of humor or fluff but there is a lot of drama towards the end and the end itself was complex, which didn't fit real well when most of the story had been relatively simple up until then. Of course I read it through MTL so you have to take it with a grain of salt since there are always words or sentences in MTL that make no sense. I didn't find the story really gripping or engaging but most of it was pleasant enough.... more>> If it's translated I might revisit but for now its a 3. <<less

It's a very cute story. I honestly wish it was just 2-5 chapters longer. I mtled it so I probably missed some stuff, but from what I read, we never got to see the results of Scum's broadcast. They just shot scenes for the movies, wrapped filming, and then that was the last we ever heard of the movies. Other entertainment industry webnovels show reception to movies, so I would've preferred that. But the romance was very cute. Yu Xijia was basically the only villain of the novel and he... more>> was just a small one. It's mostly smooth sailing. <<less

A light soup. It's a smooth sailing story. About a fan who chasing his star silently until to the point of hopeless but then boom. Notice by his star and was hug by him. Our MC is the best graduate student for secret love. He is calm, brave but also timid. He know how to push and pull, silently endure but still trying. This kind of person even he bump a wall he Will endure it without crying. Our ML is the Playfull guy toward MC. Definitely not my type.... more>> But it's good for our MC who act like a snail girl and afraid being hate by him. He'll push him to the limit so he can be honest with his feeling. So the story is quite simple. MC silently love ML from far, get a chance to see him close, some coincidental make ML notice him and itchy to tease him, slowly know him by the trouble and relize his feeling then chase the MC. No such a drama, even the villain just a name but nothing. He didn't even make a wave. And the story end just like that. No extra so far. <<less
