She did everything she could to help him ascend the Imperial Throne from a Prince, but return she got was an imperial edict to execute the whole family!

She was imprisoned in the cold palace, forbearance to plot, and finally destroyed his world by her own hands.

Once the big hatred was reported, she ended up smiling. But she didn’t expect opened her eyes, but returned to the year when she was nine years old.

The Di Daughter was born again. In this life, she will not allow anyone to bully her, humiliate her, despise her and trample her!

Elder brother who drowned at young age and the mother who went insane and died prematurely, in this life, she must keep them happy and healthy.

Stepmother of the previous life, don’t you like to seduce a married man? Then I’ll find you a man with broken sleeves(gay) and divide peaches, and let you seduce enough!

Husband of the previous life, don’t you use any means for the throne? In this life, no matter how you calculate, you will never get the throne!

Dear cousin, the pain of robbing your husband and killing your family in the past life will let you return it slowly!

Eccentric grandmother, the best relatives; since you want to fight, then simply fight in upside down!

At first thought that this life, she will spend rest of her life in solitary. Didn’t expect that the cruel and vicious “God of killing” Zhennan Wang who killed his own father and brother, quietly appeared in her life. It’s just….. why is it that this scene style is not right? Where is the cold-blooded, gloomy and deep-minded?

I barely ever stick with a story longer than 150 chapters, and I NEVER mtl, but I did for this story. The ride is fantastic fun. The plot moves along at a good pace and is politically driven, but the politics never take over the story and seem fairly realistic (though I am the exact opposite of an expert). The focus stays on our characters how how they deal with what life throws at them - sometimes together and sometimes apart, but very satisfyingly. The romance has a lot to... more>> do with how fun the novel feels. Although our heroine has reincarnated back to her own childhood, the ML with whom she had a working relationship in the last life has not. He's just a precocious, lonely kid and her attitude to him is hilarious - getting s**ked in like a little girl by his boyish charm and then suddenly remembering his grim ruthlessness in her previous life. You're 'watching' a childhood romance with all its cuteness but getting quite a sophisticated plot thanks to our protagonist's advanced understanding of the circumstances. I particuarly enjoy that our protagonist, although at first hell-bent on saving her family and bringing those who betrayed her down, does accept that this is also a chance to live a much happier life herself. Rather than focussing on revenge, she chooses to re-focus and create a fufilling life for herself, her friends and her family (she just removes the obstacles to this plan along the way). This is a much healthier way to go about your second chance at life.

The side characters are excellent, with true friends, entertaining subordinates, and loving family members. You watch many of them move into different stages of their lives and experience various ups and downs with them. As a group, they are realistic and often quite funny.

I obviously love this novel, but I cheated - I skipped the sections devoted to the young lady and prince who were the antagonists of the last life. I'm a bit puzzled why the author spent so much time on a characters who are both predictable and uninteresting. The 'twist' in no way affects this. Once the protagonist disables their marriage plans, everything else is just ineffectual flailing.

TLDR; adorable childhood romance meets realistic but not draggy political mechanations. Good pacing, satisfying pay offs, cute couples, main couple are badass as individuals and together. Worst part: too much time devoted to antagonists of former life, these sections can be skimmed or skipped without really affecting your understanding of the novel. <<less

This would be a typical rebirth/revenge story if not for the main villainess...

So you know those transmigration stories where the FL uses her modern knowledge and blows everyone away and is super arrogant?

Well this is kind of the opposite. The villainess is the transmigrator. While she doesn't come off as a villian at first, because of her arrogance and belief that she's superior to everyone because she's from another world or time, this slowly twists her to the dark side because she's unwilling to submit and her pride is sky high.

Of course no one, including the MC, knows that she's from the future (until the end), but they know she's different. At first, many are in awe of her, but the MC slowly tears off that superior facade of hers showing her she's still a women living in an age where women have little rights and have to be careful and know the rules or they will be punished. And this villainess was, over and over because she felt people owed her. At first, I felt sorry for the villainess because as a modern women, I like having rights, freedom. But this chick thought people owed her because she was "special" and she looked down on people just because they didn't share her views instead of trying to understand the culture she was now elbow deep in. That's no superiority but ignorance.

Yes, this story is about the MC's second chance at life, getting revenge, and finding happiness. But it also shows a more realistic depiction of how a transmigrator can get punched in the face by society if they aren't careful, are too arrogant, and believe themselves superior just because they come from a modern era.

AND THAT'S WHY I LIKED THIS STORY. Because without superpowers and cultivation, going to another time other than your own is not easy unlike how many transmigration stories depict

The MC is

Spoiler

Cunning, brilliant, and elegant. I like how she brings her maturity into her rebirth. She helped the emperor get to his place of power in her previous life and this story pretty much shows you how in the new life when she helps her family and the ML. Her actions are subtle but effective.

I also liked this because of the ML.
Spoiler

He was so fun! He was devoted to the MC, even to the point he was rushing through a battle just to get back to her. Though his life is pretty messed up, some of his actions and comments were hilarious. He's definitely not your typical ML.

I MTL'd this because I was impatient. But I would only recommend MTL if you know how to read between the lines and don't mind muddling though it. Otherwise wait for the translation.

If the translation ever becomes complete, I would read it again.

I didn't give it 5 stars because I felt the author dragged the story too much by allowing the villans to get away with sh*t over and over... annoying. <<less

It’s a great novel though it is a typical rebirth revenge plot. Once I started reading couldn’t drop it. It’s well written and the twists keeps you wanting to read till the end. The romance is pretty sweet but it’s less a romance novel than a political/court story. Now there are a lot of cliches in the novel but also some surprise elements such as the step family not all being bad or the villainess being a transmigrator. It’s worth reading it.
