Qin Fen had once been abandoned and broken until, one day, he picked up a liquid metal ball that turned his life upside down.
This is the interplanetary era where Classical and Modern Wushu are competing. Classical Wushu enables followers to grow as powerful as dragons and elephants, whereas Modern Wushu enables followers to freeze monsters or even extinguish erupting volcanoes.
Qin Fen steps onto the stage of both Classical and Modern Wushu while belonging to neither. With the exquisite combination of both Classical Wushu and modern technology, he will pave a way to become a legend.
He is one of a kind, a favored son of heaven.

It deserves well its 3/5 rate along with its tittle...

    • The beginning (first 200 chapters) is ok to binge read if you really have nothing else to read, but after the tournament arc (yes, there is a tournament :/), it is not that great.
    • In the first chapters, the MC is struggling to learn a good cultivation method and raise his strength. The set up of the world background is also enough for the reader to be curious for some time but you won't have a lot of information about it.
    • His relationship with the main female characters seems forced and is always quite akward most of the time:
      Spoiler

Once, the MC is training on the beach, 7km away from his military recruit camp, he roars while training and trigger a dangerous surge of energy in the cultivation of a female character training naked in the sea... what's the probabilty... not forced at all...

      but there is no harem.
    • The explanations of the cultivation system are really awfull and don't really make sens, most of all, the armor plot is way too much after thes 200 chapters:
      Spoiler

At some point, the MC cripples the son of one of the 3-4 most powerfull martial artist of the sollar system, and is then crippled by this powerfull father. And then, after only 1-3 months at the hospital, the MC manages to get back to his cultivation realm as if nothing happened

      [collapse]

After what happened in the spolier, the MC is becoming way too mighty:

      Spoiler

Chapter 400, where I've stopped, the MC is level 10 stars and has a level 6 of oscillation, and he is already more powerfull than the teacher of one of his courses, who is level 14 stars with a level 4 of oscillation. The MC is so much OP that this teacher wants to become his student because he was not abble to breakthrought the 5th level of oscillation, while being a teacher for several years at the most powerfull place on earth...

      [collapse]
    • In the latter chapters, the MC is being surrounded by a group of young masters and teaches them his way of OPness (that he learned from the marters through his cheat) and then, these secondary characters spend their time to face-slap other martial artists: the chapters are then much less focussed on the MC and way too boring.
    • Also, there are lots of classical stereotypes for the characters from other countries: some characters from Europe will be named Napoleon, Ceasar ect... But, for once, the author is not racist at his MC is friendly with black people and japanese people... Still the secondaries male characters are either, womanizer, silent type, or martial addicts, only their fancy names allow the reader to distinguish them from each other.
    • Finally, chapters are short, translation is also not that great as some words to describe the cultivation system change along time and there are mistakes in the naming and spelling on the characters names. But, it's ok and enough well translated to binge read.

I haven't finished it but there are some things that need to be said. and it seems I'm dropping it for now.

I really think the author is of the variety " honey, it's not what you think, this woman just happened to fall on my dick".
While so far there is not a harem as in other novels where there truly isn't an ML, but the MC is surrounded by beautiful girls, here we have an ML but we also happen to have other female characters that "happen" to get... more>> into ambiguous situations with the MC.

After the first, the second, the third... it is far too repetitive and I feel it will continue this way. So it seems it can very easily go to cheating.

I have to say though, besides the romance which is somewhat annoying after all, this story is ok written. I did shed some tears during the funeral scene due to the way it was written. There are some parts where the author just didn't pay as much attention as others and it shows. Long chapters for a tournament that really was blah blah blah at some point and no mention of the aftermath of a huge event.

The cultivation is simply just armor plot all the way, he is always one step ahead of everyone ect etc

I know it's the first chapter but way too many things didn't make sense that I couldn't take it.

Spoiler

"Qin Fen cursed in his mind before immediately hearing the sound of his own spine snapping"

"This made it so that he was unable to see the things before him clearly. It also made the pain in his spine even more unmanageable."

Till here it's okay

"He struggled to raise his head, " Okay? With that injury?

"Qin Fen gazed at this odd metal ball with curiosity, forgetting the pain coming from his crushed spine." Makes a lot of sense, as curiosity makes you forget pain, especially when it's a spine/nerves injury (it's f*cking crushed).

"Qin Fen stared at the liquid metal with an unwavering gaze, finding it hard to believe." Wasn't he supposed to almost faint from pain and was struggling to hold his head up to look? What happened? How is he able to concentrate his vision at something?

"Qin Fen's heart shivered with fear. The palm strike had destroyed most of the functions of his body. He was unable to complete the simple movement of closing his mouth. " But he is able to RAISE his head using all his neck/back muscles yet can't can't use his mouth?

[collapse]

I simply couldn't take it, as I can imagine the whole lot of sense I'll see in future chapters if I did try to read. <<less

It's okay. I should've stopped when the tournament and school arcs started. They were definitely boring compared to the start. The tournament also dragged on for like a 100 chapters which was insane. I've given up at this point.

Spoiler

There was a short police man arc which I enjoyed. I would read that if you skip the tournament arc before stopping.

Definitely a harem just not sure how far it'll go. Harem spoiler:

Spoiler

He does sleep with this girl after she tries to r*pe him and she accidentally fails. This girl isn't the main girl. There's also the beach military girl who hasn't been completely inducted into his harem yet. I think it'll happen in the chapters after the one I stopped at.

The beginning was quite good, in terms of story as well as translation and editing. The quality of translation went pretty downhill after the original translator stopped working on it, it seems. I assume this might be due to multiple editors, but another annoying thing is that they cant seem to decide how to show an inner monologue or thought process. Sometimes its in italics, and sometimes its between two asterixes, sometimes in the same chapter, and it is just annoying.
