Three years ago, when Sovereign Union disbanded, gaming genius Mo Bei laid low and went into seclusion.

Three years later, she returns with a concealed name, disguised as a man.

Despite being scorned and loathed, she ultimately reascends to the throne, causing a sensation in the entire nation!

Handsome but aloof, pursued by countless fans, he was the famous King of the eSports scene. Dark Flares’ Captain, who was known for his looks, was even more famous for his ambiguous playing style.

When she first joined the team, he told her, “Know your place. Do not try to have inordinate ambitions.”

Subsequently, when her identity was exposed, he looked up from his seat at the table and stood up gradually. “Are you thinking of deserting me after marrying me in the game? Hmm?”

As a fan of National School Prince is a Girl when I first encountered this story I didn't know who Mo Bei was (I haven't gotten to that part yet) but people keep saying how its weird how they got married in-game though she was a child and from both translated manhuas and bad google translate novels it is said she was a pokerfaced-child who didn't take it seriously. But even though it didn't have as much tension, suspense, drama, and wasn't as emotional as national school prince is a... more>> girl, I'm still putting it as 5 stars because I saw it as a package deal that a pokerfaced person wouldn't seem to have much character development. But the plot was fine but it seemed a bit too much like other gender-bender novels exept gaming and an eaxpressionless FL which makes it more entertaining but its general plot is a bit predictable and I know shes "The Deciple" but it was less interesting after being exposed to the prequel. <<less

Ehhh, to put things first, this is somewhat of a sequel to "National School Prince is a Girl", though this one is about ... more>>
Spoiler

The MC's disciple being the MC. The MC from national school Prince has a disciple in the later chapters (though I don't know if it's translated yet) and this is the story of her disciple's romance I guess

[collapse]

Well, like the National School Prince, the MC is OP, she knows how to cook, gaming, hacking...
Spoiler

And of course she joins some kind of military group in the later chapters and gets shot so her hand has an injury now

[collapse]

I personally like the MC, she's cold and independent, and the romance isn't THAT bad compared to The national school Prince and the cliche of the ML doubting his sexuality is already so cliche I don't even feel annoyed when I read it since it's to be expected.

Rather than going in-depth about the MOBA gaming thing it just really stays at the part where the MC and ML are the most OP couple on earth besides their teacher/master and you don't really see any character growth, just OP-I guess from the start to the finish.

The novel entirely is so-so for me, the gaming is actually somewhat specific in the later chapters (though still not really good and exciting to read), but as the first half of the story is more focused on Gender Bending and providing the background of the story
Spoiler

like how the MC is bey, why she's cross dressing, how the ML kind of got dumped by the MC in the game...

[collapse]
, so the gaming part isn't really as specific. The writing is smooth (in the raws, don't know bout the translation quality), but the plot... Its nice, but perhaps a bit repetitive. Didn't draw me in as much as national school Prince.

Edit: Even the translation group stopped translating... Anyways, I wouldn't recommend this novel, honestly. It's long, (1590 chapters and it's not going anywhere, it's been stuck at the same thing for over 30 chapters and I don't see any progress), it's cliche (the annoying kind of cliche), and the plot itself isn't really good. <<less

Eh, I don't play games, and this feels like the author, too, doesn't play games. Marrying in the game? I don't think they're playing an MMORPG (or whatever they're called, e.g. A Slight Smile), but something similar to LoL (because they use terms like "jungler", "farming" etc.), so how, exactly, is one to get married?

The descriptions of the games, so far, are similar to "Her fingers danced across the keyboard, her strategy superior to all, getting a penta-kill" There's no detail, and it just lacks believablility. It reads like the... more>> author wanted to write a super cool story about a super OP ex-pro player coming back and being the under-dog, but has no idea how the game they're playing or the Esports world works (tbh I have no idea, but I bet it's closer to You're Beauitful than this)

The story has a somewhat interesting, if unbelievable, premise - the FL replaces her brother, who has been utterly betrayed by his team, friends, and girlfriend, slandered and replaced by said ex-friend. But then on top of this, we have a rivalry between two middle schools and the FL and ML fight due to the... school rivalry? This reads as an unnecessary set-up to ensure the two leads hate each other, but think about it - between your professional (future) career and job, and a petty middle school rivalry, which one is more important? Even if they are teenagers, I refuse to believe that they would be so insensible.

In short, go read You're Beautiful When You Smile if you want a romance between teammates. Saving grace - it's easy to read and the chapters are not overly long. Though it takes up to chapter 50 for the FL to enter her team -_- <<less

Spoiler

735 chapters in and finally the ML knows that FL is a female.

[collapse]

I mean come on ML likes you so much and you treat him like a mop! ML started to become traumatised fiscally and psychologically not understanding if he likes a boy or a girl. The MC just keeps on pretending to be a boy and sister as well but ML still recognises his liked person but is so confused because he doesn't know the truth. Truly if MC likes the ML should she not feel compassion for him even a little bit and save the poor person ?
