A little disappointed. The MC is humiliated verbally and physically every night (the are hints of the deeds but not directly said) , but the MC is eventually moved by ML. There is a scene where ML showed extreme panic and went in danger to save MC fr poison. It is like, the author suddenly wanted to beautify ML's image in this scene and wrote how MC's heart throbbed. Hi MC, did u forget who caused ur family to die and sent u at first to be auctioned in brothel? Judging by the first 60+ chapters, the flow of the story is not really my cup of tea. I read to current ch to carefully analyze if I this one is good (for me). Will drop. If you like drama and can stand nonsensical scenes, then you may like this.

I read this because there is NO R@PE tag in this novel. But NON-CON act happened everytime. As a general, the MC doesn't want to be favored by ML by sleeping in room every night, nor having a servant of his own nor having own good clothes nor food. What a general want is the dignity and pride and get his revenge; I don't like to see it being broken yet he develops a feeling. I can't understand the logic. I find the author's penmanship slightly lacking. The novel also has an unreliable narrator. Probably, the good part is the flashbacks where I want to read for the reasons but bad writing makes me drop it.

I honestly hope that the MC died and Reborn as another person instead.
