I've been waiting for this to get picked up for so long! I'm very glad this is being translated. The translation quality is amazing so far and the story is so great! If you liked The Earth is Online, you'll probably like this too. And for you apocalypse addicts, this is perfect!

Our shou, Baby Xia was an arrogant guy with an impetuous personality. However, the apocalypse mellowed him out as one would expect. But, his growth didn't save him from the scheming of his 'good brother'. So, rewind to the... more>> past and he gets a chance to make all the right choices. Aka, hugging the thigh of our very cold, very beautiful, very cruel ML, who already has the hots for him (not a spoiler - gets revealed in chapter 2).

I'll edit my review with more story specific content as more is translated. I love this story and am looking forward to more updates on the translation. <<less

The MC returned back 4wks after the advent of global evolution. Although he experienced a 2-yr apocalypse, he still lacks the composure of a person who reincarnated from that world.

one of the reason, why I also rate 2 is bcoz of the MC. He reincarnated but he did nothing but only to tell the ML that an evolution would happen, some may die and some may mutate. He didn't even do things to save old wang. It pisses me off when he said "I can't do it, nothing can change" of course nothing will really change when u only wait for things to change.


The ML really cares for the MC so in the last life, he avenged the MC

For the white lotus half brother that I want to bury, too bad he also reincarnated.

The story lacks depth but the MC and ML interactions are cute. Most of the chapters have "Bickerings" so it turns me off. It seems like a slice of life in an apocalypse. I find it boring.. I'm disappointed with the MC.. <<less

Perhaps it was the first novel that I drop after only completing a few chapters? I saw that the synopsis is tempting, so I didn't check on the rating and the reviewer. Turn out the rating truly deserve the content. It's really only deserving around 4 stars at most.

Kudos to the author and translator who tried hard to make this novel happen. Though from the background and the content it's really not that engaging. The starting of this novel is WEAK, lacklustre, and unable to make the readers felt curious... more>> and engaged on the story.

The background of the apocalypse is shallow, and for people who understand even a little science, it become quite exaggerated and shallow reasoning.

The MC's actions even from the start is already bewildering. You died and then woke up to be rebirthed, the first thing you're doing is quickly pack up and meet ML to explain the future (though the explanation that I've been waiting ended up like a, huh?, where is the so called explanation? Aside from saying "hey, you see I'm reborn. So, not long after our world will be different". Just like that. No further explanation. Like... ehhhh...

The MC felt really 2D. Where is the overwhelming feeling of being rebirthed? Where is the time to sort out his thoughts? Rebirt and apocalypse, two f*cking unbelievable logic (at least at normal time) and yet the MC seemed to be so easily to just speak this out to the ML. It makes the MC felt 2D. After all, wanting to explain something so ridiculous like rebirth and apocalypse to someone else require a lot of thinking, pondering, and careful action, right? This matter is not the same as saying "Hey, I got a girlfriend" to your bro after all....

And yet, there's no such thing above.

Perhaps because this is the early novel of the author so the author is still inexperienced in many things, I understand it. Regardless, after reading too many novels, regrettably I can only say, I have no patient for this novel. <<less

read this last year and it's not my favorite end of the world story, nor anywhere close to my favorite MCH novel (it's one of her early ones). I'll give it another try in translation but these were my notes from when I MTL it.

MC was killed by a white lotus half brother and wakes up three years ago at the start of the end. "Sunspots" kick-off worldwide evolution and nature becomes super strong and aggressive. No zombies so far. ML is silent, cold, op type. MC seems too innocent for someone who lived through three years of hell. Bro is also reborn and wants to prove he is "prince" of the family instead of MC. I don't like the multiple POV. Poor ML has been silently suffering from the MC low EQ for many years. I'm glad MCH changed her MC type in later stories to competent, smart, and equal partners with ML; I hate s*upid MC and this one is dense as a rock. MC is water power and is forced to be a cleaner despite fighting skills. He never seems to experiment with his power so there's no water bullet or water whip or water weapon of any kind, nor does he use his ability offensively (i.e. Drowning or sucking the water out of the enemy's body to kill them).


As of ch 41 I am only reading to see the end. My least favorite MCH novel/ MC ever, far more dislike than the guy who stayed in an abusive/ cheating relationship for ten years only to die at the cheater's hands, at least he gets a clue after rebirth. There is some character growth late in the novel but by then I was done with this story. Disappointing.

My enthusiasm fizzled out by chapter 68, it started to become very dragging despite the facts there was supposedly some prelude to a major skirmish about to take place.

I’m not sure if it’s because of the translation or the author’s writing style changed but somehow the feel of the story is different. The appeal kind of lowered and didn’t suck me in like it did when I first started reading, it might just be because it’s no longer my type of genre after chapter 50 (I’d like to say it... more>> seems to be going into psychological or war/strategy or something similar but I’m not really sure since I didn’t force myself to read further).

I still gave it 4 stars though, because despite the change it is well written. It’s MC isn’t an OP impossible character and the antagonist isn’t some brainless death seeking type that has to brush up his sense of existence by some convoluted scheme all the time. The romance between the main CP is kind of faint though, so if you’re here for the romance then be warned that it’s barely there even by chp68 (I’m confirming though that they are a couple already before 68, so don’t run away if you think it’s because of unexpressed feelings). The main focus is tends to be the survival of humanity and the key persons striving for that around the MC, so the romance is in the background. <<less

Start off interesting showing MC having ptsd from his death but the tag of clever protagonist is false as the MC is as dumb as a brick despite living through the Apocalypse.

He's reaction is slow n thinking still naive, very much dependent on ml. Not much different from the Reborn from the future to get my revenge trope just w silly mc

This novel of mo chen huan is a mess. Maybe it's her first attempt at apocalyptic novel? Anyway it's the worst of her work that I've read.

The start was confusing. The science is even worse, the more it is explained the more brain dead I feel, lol. Or maybe it's the MTL. MC and ML was somewhat mediocre, I find the supporting characters more interesting. Also what makes me uncomfortable was the descriptive violence on mutant animals under experimentation. I felt it was too excessive.

Her other novels especially the showbiz... more>> ones are my favourite though. <<less

I may be biased but once I saw that it's Mo Chen Huan's novel, I already concluded, even though I haven't completely read it yet, that it is a five star!!! She never failed to disappoint me when it comes to her novels ? That's why... Kudos to all translators for making me read her gems!!!

I found this novel particularly interesting! Different from your general apocalypse/survival BL. Or, at least, different from the ones I've read so far. Had to stop reading after a while though. The translation from Timeless was really good but the MTL made my head hurt 😂

In the middle of the novel, sometimes I think that the MC is not Jing Xia, but Qi Yang tho, the researcher guy. Cause I think his story more interesting than our MC story. His story is somewhat tragic, but I really like the ending because in the end he have his happy ever after w/ his lover.

The start was deep and interesting and it's well translated (content seems too complicated for MTL, I guess). Little weakness : too slow ? Not really interesting ?

Something bothers me: I usually feel very excited, especially with the first chapters but not this time. The ML is akward and his behavior not really realistic enough (even for a novel, it lacks substance). I am dropping out because there is so many great novels out there.
