Lyu Liang was an ordinary young man who was supposed to live a mortal life with his father in a small village. However, a wonderful opportunity led him into the Virtual Land where he learned about his unusual origin and started his dual cultivation journey—to be a Devilish Immortal. There were six races in this world: immortals, humans, devils, demons, ghosts, and spirits. Lyu Liang had access to any of those realms. Whether he would be a great Devilish Immortal was not up to his race, but his will. For him, it was not important to be the most powerful immortal and to be worshiped like God. He eventually chose to live a secluded life with his lover.

I'm honestly speechless. I was expecting at least some maturity from the protagonist... the title is evidently extremely deceitful. From what we know of Lyu Liang's character, it's likely he'll stay fixed in character, the type of idiot to be led around by 'Destiny'. Including of course forces which are Heavenly Beauties. Hurray.

Ignoring the protagonist being nothing like the summary and title indicates, the plot is completely awful. I'm currently on chapter 21, and the protagonist, Lyu Liang, has had 5 fortuitous encounters. FIVE! Majority of them on the Immortal-scale... more>> of power! At the very start of his cultivation journey!

Let's look at the linguistic side of things. The translation is great, and the author is descriptive - very much so. Yet, it's still so utterly bland because nothing is truly happening. It's like meshing together the 10 most popular novels in China, it's all over the place.

I thought previous ratings were a bit too harsh, no, it's actually an accurate reflection of this novel. Avoid, don't waste your time like I've just done. <<less
