Usually, I wouldn't have bothered leaving review on the stories I read, but I don't like the thought of this story being overlooked. So, I'll leave some words and thoughts on this.

The synopsis of this story was the reason why I had skipped it over no matter how many times it showed up. Now that I have finished the story, I regret not reading early on.

The summary of this story turned out to be arcs in the story. Smart, right? The arcs are not long except for those arcs that... more>> reveal huge truths about the main plot.

The characters focused on are:

• • Xi Feng: Female lead and demon catcher with hidden identity.

• • Qing Yuan: Male lead, Green Dragon who sealed himself in the mirror for 10, 000 years

• • Little Fire/ Chi Jin: Ancient Fire Mouse, Xi Feng's companion since her childhood.

• • Yue'er/ Little Black coal: Snake monster, the one who lifted Qing Yuan's seal

• • Demon King: Black Dragon, Qing Yuan's brother

• • Li Qianzhan: Xi Feng's master, Master of Spirit Hall

• • Wu Ying and Pu Yu: Xi Feng's brother and sister under same master.

• • Baili Qingfeng: Qing Yuan's only friend

• • Devil King

• • Heavenly Emperor

These are the main characters that influence the story to great extent. The information mentioned above is just superficial. The truth is deeper than what it is shown at the beginning.

The story starts with the first Arc "Empty Coffin". This the first arc where Xi Feng appears with Little Fire to catch a demon followed by the appearance of Little Black who opens the seal placed on Qing Yuan. And then begins the journey of these four people, solving the demons and unravelling the hidden truths and emotions.

The story is funny, especially the interaction between FL and ml, but also emotional. There's no actual character development though. Xi Feng remains Xi Feng from beginning to the end and so is the same for Qing Yuan. Oh right, they do solve their heart knots with the help of each other.

Each arcs has its own perks even though it shows the same concept at the end. The ending of each arcs is happy (as I call it a 'twisted happy ending'). The arcs are more like layers wrapping the main plot. As you peel off layers one by one, the truth revealed and the connected hints will greatly make you nod your head and raise your eyebrows in realization why the title of the story is "Demon in the Mirror". Th development between leading characters is natural. You won't know who fell for whom first, but once you realize the subtle development, it's all sweet and cute.

The story is a hidden gem. It's just that since I read the mtl version, it reduced half of the story's emotion and worth. I mean I didn't feel as strongly as I should have felt, but it sure was heart-touching. The mtl version is also understandable... umm... bearable (for those who are used to with mtl, of course) and worth the headache due to correcting grammar in your head.

I didn't mention any spoilers because I believe mentioning spoilers will definitely ruin all the fun and surprising elements of the plot. Because if one fact is mentioned, the whole circumstances should be mentioned, which basically would be narrating the whole story. That's how deep the arcs and characters are intertwined.

Anyways, the story was great, just what I needed after monotonous plots and developments. It shows that the truth that you believe in might not be the whole truth and the truth you don't know might actually be true. The way Xi Feng and Qing Yuan interacts makes you realize that it doesn't matter if some things are not mentioned, as long as you see their true colour and will choose to believe then despite their circumstances, past and identities.

This is such a gem. I loved it. Loved all the characters and character development. The story flow is perfect. Each character has their own background story and its brought together perfectly.

The FL is a demon hunter and the ML is a blue dragon and would have sealed himself in a mirror and wakes up after a small demon removes his seal. He will wake up after a 100, 000 years and the world would have changed a lot and hence he will ask the FL to be his guide.... more>> The story is about their journey.

I loved the FL. She is very strong. She has a demon rat as a pet who will be her childhood friend. She is not blindly righteous. Even though she is a demon hunter she doesn't kill all demons indiscriminately. She only kills the ones that are evil and trying to harm others.

I loved the ML too. He will be very innocent and naive and puts the FL in all sorts of trouble all the time. Its really funny. But he is always there when FL needs help and brings her all the things he feels is good. Of course he will be very strong too as he is a dragon. It takes a lot of time for him to realize that he likes the FL. After he finds out he doesn't waste time and they speak to each other and start dating.

The MTL was a little hard to understand so I read it on a chinese website on chrome and use google translate to read and it got a LOT better. Go for it you wont regret it.

Of course the villain is defeated at the end. (He would be sealed in the same mirror as the ML).

ML and FL plan on getting married and having a bunch of baby dragons.

The FLs dad will turn out to be good, he will be a very righteous man. He would have saved the FLs moms soul and give it to the FL so that she can revive her again with a new body. He will die trying to protect her in the end.
