This is kinda new coming from me since I usually despise anything where the main couple have involvements with eachother in previous lives, I drop it instantly. It might be silly, but it's a pet peeve of mine because I feel like we aren't reading the love story of the main couple, we're just watching a continuation of an existing couple find eachother again. This necessarily isn't bad, but I read stories majorly for the romance, and when it's developed in a previous life, I feel like I've missed most of their development and that I'd rather read from the moment they met.

This story is different because they weren't a couple in previous lives (I don't think so from the MTL), but their destiny was still woven together very beautifully and watching it all come together was very touching.

The villain killed the ML's mother, who had a partner thing with ML's father which means that when she dies, he dies. At the end, they are resurrected because of a whole bunch of stuff that goes down, and now that the father knows the villain is well, evil, he finds him and ties him to a pole. Thats it. We see a few lines of him being attached to a pole, we don't even see the process of it. The main couple got back to the temple, and he was already attached to the pole off-screen, courtesy of ML's father. The ML didn't even say anything to him, we didn't see anything interaction, it kinda went like this:

*main couple go to a temple where the cool tree of life is*

they see the villain tied to a pole

tree: oh btw yeah ur parents are alive now, the thing worked. Thats the guy that yk killed them, took the spot of emperor, (which is your birthright), and hunted you down across the whole empire after betraying your family. Your father put him there.

ML: oh ok cool lets go find my parents

*they find his parents and they all hug*

the end.

Let me just say that before this, they hadn't even come face to face with the guy yet, the ML had only talked about what he would do when he say the guy and enact his revenge. The villain was living in the palace comfortably, not one direct encounter with him where they had a conversation was seen in this book. I personally could deal with that considering in all other aspects the ending was perfect, but I know this might be a deal breaker for some people so I just put it out there.

I JUST KNOW THAT THE OLDER BROTHER AND THE SYSTEM ARE GONNA END UP TOGETHER. Ok the system made me laugh sometimes, but her with the brother? Ain't no way. Their relationship was basically the brother using her game to check on the MC when he was stuck in ML's world, and the system asking for forgiveness from the brother because he caught her taking advantage of the sick MC and overcharging them both. After that, the system would just go to the brothers house, drink half a glass of beer and pass out. (This happened on multiple occasions) That was their only interaction and yet it's still so obvious they are endgame for eachother. If I were to read the extras and see them together, respectfully, I would explode.

Actually, the villain didn't know that if he killed ML's mother, that the father would die aswell because of their partnership. They were a friend group of three, but it seems to have gone downhill from the time two of them got together. (ML's parents) The villain might've been in love with ML's father or just overall jealous of ML's mother because of it, I don't know, MTL. Having said that, imagine the villains suprise. He just wanted to kill the mother and monopolise the father, but all of a sudden they're both dead, and their son, the CP has turned to the darkness, threatening the existence and collapse of the entire world. He planned it for so long, but because he didn't know they'd both die, leaving the kingdom without any imperial bloodine or ruler, he kinda just had to go full speed ahead since there was no turning back now. He didn't want to bring the universe to ruins, bro just wanted her man LOL. Since he ended up in that situation in the end, he decided to play the part and did it well. What I mean is, the movie is not as deep as I thought it would be, this whole crisis could've been SO easily avoided.

1st Pair: The red-haired guy and the silver wolf. When the red-headed guy first appeared in the world, the first thing he saw and was attracted to was the silver fur of the wolf. Even though the wolf could not yet transform into a human, I could just feel it in my bones. They're going to be a couple.

2nd Pair: The little money-grabber system and the older brother of the MC. Ah, I don't even want to talk about it.

So, that's how I ended up reading 143 chapters out of 208 chapters.... hehe.

The MC is a complete idiot (he seems to think the ML can do no wrong and when he says he will maim and kill he's only bluffing despite being able to see his blackening value) with a skewed moral compass (he thinks torturing a pixie for a whole month over a prank is okay and well deserved, even if the pixie was a jerk this is just too much).
