Heal, the 17th prince of the Kingdom of Sanfaris was born with an unknown crest that he was unable to activate.

Because of this useless crest, he was relegated to being lord of a remote island by his father, the king.

Of course, there were no people there, nor were there any trees or plants. It was an island with just a single cave.

However, the moment that Heal picked up the pickaxe inside of the cave, the ‘Cave King’ crest was activated. Its effect was specializing in mining, allowing him to efficiently mine all kinds of ore.

Among the ore that could be mined on the island, there was even some ore that magic ability and ore that extended one’s lifespan…

Heal would become so engrossed in mining, that he would eventually create the strongest country.

The thing about this novel is, It's too simple. It's so simpel that it's so predictable.

Now, I'm not saying this novel is bad, but this novel uses the same principle and format over-over and again. It uses the "Chekov's Gun" principle, which is the basic of basic to write a story. (I'm sure there are other principle that is more specific to this case.)

But seriously though... It's so simple that I don't know if it's bad or good. The other hundreds of novel that I have read, struggle for... more>> this kind of thing. But, this novel is playing it too safe. It's sticking it to the rule too much.

I just know, if the MC found an item, then; either the next chapter or the same chapter, it will appear a situation to use that item that MC just found.

"Well aren't you glad that you found an item which has a very specific use for a specific situation, right before that specific situation occurs?"

It's not a bad concept. But, if the author keep using the same format over-over again, then it will make the story predictable.

Every chapter will always be filled, "Oh, thank God the MC found this item a while ago, to use that item for specifically this kind of 'specific' situation." feeling. For us, the readers, this same feeling will always appear in every chapter.

(It's Deus Ex Machina!)

But... At the same time, this novel only just had a few chapters translated. It has potential to grow. So, I will keep reading it for now. <<less

Yup, dropping this from the reading list. I was hoping for more of a crafting and kingdom building kind of story with interesting insight into bringing a bunch of lost people together. It started out kinda fun, but I'm starting to get a sense of the author's childish philosophy when it comes to race relations. I mean it's just too convenient and easy, but also suggests something rather insidious.

Up to the latest chapter, from what I gather, the author seems to think the solution to race relations is just simple:... more>>

Spoiler
    • What's in the past is in the past. You can easily forgive that your races have mu*dered and been mu*dered by other races. Once you find a powerful enough "Master" and agree to be tamed by him (i.e. His s*aves) you can easily forget all past conflicts and live in harmony under your benevolent master.
    • The second thing about race relations from the author is even more insidious. This involves the evolution/ascension stones that grants a monster the immediate transformation into a higher form. Apparently all the "monster races" will desire to become the "master's race" to be of better use to him. So far, these stones have only been used to create potential waifus for the human master. 'Cuz you know it'd be gross if his waifus had monster race bodies instead of human race bodies.
[collapse]

Think about that in terms of real world race relations. If you're ens*aved by a master race, you'd all get along. If you all desire to be like the master race, you'd be more useful. Seriously, wtf? <<less

Spectacularly incoherent!

There is no real plot, only a sad excuse of a MC fumbling around with no particular goal. In order for me to explain all the inadequacies of this novel, it would require text that would exceed it in both length, and in interest.

This could have gone extremely well!

But.. Well, everything is setup for the convenience of the protagonist which makes it lame and it undergoes a cycle of horrible cliches that plagued its chapters.

Problem comes up 》MC mines something to help》MC solves problem》Filler stories》.

... more>> And repeat.

This could have used the mining thing pretty well, for example, placing dangerous creatures on the surface of caves, or even the island itself and just let it be riddled with giant spiders, snakes amd whatever monster there is but instead, they made the MC unbeatable in 1 arc, making every other monster battle just wimpy and 6 sentences long.

I also would have wished more exploration on each character he is close with but they are all either have the same 1D or are just people from the other islands that also have 1D stuff. Shallow bonds too, the thanks for savin me so ill help ya, bond.

Adding stuff to the island like native inhabitors, unfriendly and completely new types of monsters, like seriously, im sure the author asked a friend

"What do you think of when I say the word Fantasy monsters?"

"Goblins"

The author san just winged it and placed every common trope 😴

Other than the mining thing, which becomes gradually more bland and and just tasteless as everything is conveniently mined up for the future use of the protagonist.

So, yeah.. Not the worst novel to say the least but definitely not on the upper echelons.

Mediocre. Repetitive. Annoying Wush fulfillment shit. Beta MC.

But hey!, atleast it's a strong protagonist 😐

For some reason too it all becomes lighthearted just because MC is strong?

Bullied, Check

Abandoned, Check

Pushed away, Check

Dominate the world and take the whole kingdom as a tourist spot, NO

Become the greatest masochistic beta loser that loves eating dirt and fainting while seeing women, Huge CHECK ✅✅✅✅✅✅✅

I had a longer review but it got reset so this the stuff I basically pointed out, same as the other reviews. <<less

It's a good novel though be forewarned that it is fairly childish. For a exiled left for dead prince, he is quite naive. Not to mention the convenience of his power handwaves anything that may be a problem. My biggest issue would be

Spoiler

how everyone in the novels seem to act so childish. He befriends random monsters instantly through take or communication. A goblin princess happens to crash land into his exiled island and he happen to have a special stone to cure her. What bullshit. I feel like this would happen alot so I won't be reviewing this any further.

In all honesty, this is such a typical beta-main-character-like novel series.

The main character is too kind to everyone and doesn't consider the feelings of those that serve under him. He also tries way too hard to be nice to everyone for no reason and his sense of logic in any battle goes straight out the window.

The whole "Cave King" skill he has doesn't make any sense and it just makes it seem like he's some sort of magic god that just mines all day for nothing.

He also always mentions how... more>> he got abandoned by his family but never does anything about it either. He doesn't desire revenge, he doesn't want to prove everyone wrong, nor does he want to do any proactive about his island.

It's basically a novel series that had serious potential but went down under within 12 chapters. <<less

I am not sure what others were expecting, since it is a slife of life genre, it is a pretty good read. It has a simple plot and I think you should give it a try before judging it.

Spoiler

prince was banished from the kingdom to an island due to an oracle apparently and one thing led to another, he now has monster subjects and develops it until it will turn to a kingdom/empire. Although plot armor is thick on this novel.

Typical bland jp isekai power fantasy. With a s*ave familiar harem and an omnipotent ability, instant solutions to every problem, in fact usually he gets the solution right before the problem occurs.

With all that I'd normally give it a 3* because it basically does what it sets out to do, but this protagonist is way too... humble? He's a prince. Lord of the territory. He has a master-familiar contract with all but one of the inhabitants on the island. He's incredibly powerful and has provided food and shelter to every... more>> other character.

And yet, he won't even allow the girl he loves, who has told him she loves him, to wash his back in the bath? Any other time he has a chance to get closer to her, he avoids it with all his might. And without giving any real reason, either, whether it's to her or to the reader. He knows he loves her, he knows she at least likes him, but he keeps her at arm's length for no reason. That takes an already mediocre novel and turns it into tr*sh. For me. If you don't care about that sort of thing it's readable. <<less

There is a style of minecraft play where you start on a tiny isolated island with no other land available and build everything up from there. Its joy is found in building something big from something small and worthless. This novel is basically that concept in a world with skills and magic. I very much believe this story's author has played the game, or a similar one, this way at least once.

In the beginning, on an isolated rock that no one cares about, the protagonist is still in easy... more>> mode making for a nice relaxing slice of life. As the title includes the words "paradise life" and "becoming the strongest" most of the story is likely to be laid back with very convenient abilities and events, but there will probably eventually be politics and stuff when he gets big enough to be noticed. I expect the story to grow in complexity even as his abilities and island does. <<less

1/5 for one reason (otherwise it would have been a 2.5, as a below average game fantasy) : Cute goblin girl "evolves" into a pale white skinned black haired japanese girl and becomes "prettier" and "superior". Yeah... nope. Lost a star for obvious reasons.

Also, the MC is pretty bland and boring, and the writing isn't much to talk about either. Thing's happen. And that's it. There's no character development, no world development, and it doesn't really feel like it matters. Even if it is a slice of life, the slice... more>> of life only works because you can feel that it matters to the characters into the story, and you can relate to it.

This doesn't have any of that.

Reading this is basically like watching some noob stream a crafting game, has no idea what to do, and just does things with no direction, end goal, and doesn't even do roleplay or anything to entertain the viewers. <<less

So many writing their review for this novel and I still don't understand why this called as tr*sh. I honestly enjoy this story so far when so many novel similar to this struggle to make a story. A story that quite simple and easy to follow up is good novel, in my opinion.

So far the story involve the protagonist that was 'banished' from the kingdom and ended at the some island. Then using his power, he dig and found many things. He also meet some people from different races and... more>> work together with them for build the island.

Base from that summary, I can say that this novel easy to understand. Some people prefer to novel that quite serious with their plot, content, and character growth. That's not wrong, okay? But we cannot disregarding that when you read some novel that 'heavy', you will reach the point that you are bore with that novel and dropped it. In that point, I can recommend to read this novel.

In positive way, this novel bring some point that didn't notice by people, like the history of the island, 'special' slime, or every discovery when the protagonist or other dig. These thing can be some point that can bring appeal for the reader, combine with relaxed situation in this novel. However, this novel quite weak for plot and slow character growth and I personally just read for changing pace.

In conclusion, this novel still good with their development that easy for follow up, just don't hope too much for find 'heavy' plot or visible character growth. Just enjoy it for change pace and refresh situation. <<less

For an isekai type novel, it's surprisingly written good for this sub genre as most of them are tr*sh, however it still has some problems, like lack of tension/plot. In a way similar to "Ive Reincarnated as a Slime!??" novel (name something like that), but a little downgraded version.

The novel for me is good and it is upgraded praticaly evry day. I like the concept of evryone having a crest that give you special ability in various field. At the first it qas a little strange since rare materials keep popping up like nothing, but in reality it just the MC having the right crest at the right place, in the future it also explain the why there are so many things ammassed in one place. The story started out fine. It was like walking to the park, sitting on a bench and eating your sandwich and drinking a beverage named Rimuru Lite.

Then it reminds you that it has a typical Japanese MC. Oh god, the early parts of the story had almost made me forget.

  1. It was ass pull after ass pull
  2. Nevermind the basic emotions and logic, everybody should be mindless robots and be friends with each other because the MC says so.
  3. It was ass pull after ass pull
  4. Repeat items 1-3
This story had potential from... more>> the start but it fell to the trap of a typical Japanese MC.

Definitely, as the other reviews say, a very typical Isekai-style novel (without the transported aspect). Checks all of the boxes:

    • Increasingly many female supporting characters as the story progresses, almost all attracted to the...
    • Beta MC (who, while not as bad as some, is dense af and of the "explains something; target doesn't understand; "do I fail at explaining?" sorta pathetic mindset [arguably a result of his childhood; still irritating]) who barely ever faces any challenges due to his power, which functions as...
    • EZ Wish fulfillment PLUS Deus Ex Machina galore! The plot is very predictable once an element is introduced, partially due to a lot of foreshadowing, but also because the MC will use his ability/system to solve the problem (in one of very few different ways). But also this story would benefit if the author planned further ahead; the solution to each problem is presented almost immediately after the problem crops up. There has been only one plot point I can think of that provided even a little multi-chapter suspense beyond "when will the MC realize x".
This being said, it is a pretty novel story and (especially relative to most other stories of the genre) fun to read. It has the classic elements of the genre, presented in a way that they're just minor annoyances in a decent (if slow) story, rather than infuriating reasons to stop reading.

Um i've only read a few novels so I can't say much against these guys who are hating on this and are probably hardcore novel readers. However I reckon this novel is very good, definetly one of my favourites so far with not much pointless dialect and the plot isn't shit. This novel is very entertaining to me plus it gets updated very fast which is a good thing, nothing MC has done so far which pissed me off and I like how every chp he discovers more stuff while... more>> mining, its like going through a cereal box to get the new collectible card everyones collecting :) <<less

Well I can't say that everyone would like this novel, but for me it was a pretty good find.

The story was kinda unique for me, since I usually read novels where MC is so focused on revenge. The MC finds his new life goals to accomplish and friends to accompany him. Also the novel involves some world-building which is a plus for me...

I am certainly looking forward for future updates..

Came here from the manga and boy is this worse than I imagined.

The MC is a f*cking dumbass and the rest of the cast are cardboard caricatures too

There isn't any actual emotional buildup or payoff at all cause the characters are all so boring and dumb.

Gosh reading this felt like I lost my braincells.

Definitely not worth it
