I was expecting a little more with this. It's a short-story, but it put such a lot into explaining the FL's situation at the police station, and even hinted that there was something interesting happening with the ML's backstory too, that it felt like there was no pay-off at the end. I wasn't expecting the ML's situation to be explained, but it would have been nice to see... more>> how the FL was recognised after the case.
It feels like this was intended to be a longer episodic series but the author got bored with it. In the end, it was a quick read, nothing extraordinary, and would have benefited from a longer format. <<less

The whole story is great but I wouldn't say that this is an extraordinary mystery.

The translation wasn't complete so I had to copy+paste+translate the last chapter so my understanding of the conclusion might be faulty. A good read that could be finished in one sitting.

I wish this was a series or something that features different crimes with Xian Fan and Han Zecheng.
