In the first arc the blurb is as is often the case in Chinese novels, misleading. The main character in this is the smart ruthless type has amnesia as the tags suggest and is bound to a love system that gives him points for flirting with his spouse, but the system messed up so now he doesn't remember anything including said spouse all the while being trapped in a horror escape game.

I take most of what I said back as of the second arc, The MC gets his memory back... more>> and is exactly as said in the blurb. The system is blamed for something he actively tried to prevent, is pushed aside because the MC thinks he's annoying despite him spending his own money to give the MC his weapon and genuinely caring about the mc's health and safety. <<less

From the description, I thought Gu An (MC) is a cute and timid baby that somehow got drag into the escape game. But who would have thought that he's the opposite, in Arc 1. He's a cold beauty, smart and indifferent towards his surrounding. I was like... am I reading the right book? It sounds more like 521 talking then Gu An himself.

It might be due to his memory lost. So far, We only know that 521 is a 'love system' who was the cause of Gu An's amnesia, even forgetting about his own husband.. Ming Ye wasn't having any of it, man wanted to chop the system if it weren't bound to Gu An

Ming Ye (ML) is seen as a possessive/yandere type, the typical "I only have eyes for you" type of ML. He's super gentle towards Gu An. Although he has dark thoughts sometime, he doesn't do it as he really cherish and respect An An.

His and Gu An's background is still a mystery, can't wait to see their backstory and how their relationship form (´ ꒳`) I'm too lazy to read the mtl for fear that it might ruin the story with the translations, so I'll patiently wait for more updates. <<less

It's alright, it started out ok. As the story progresses, it.. well I don't think there's time to do much with what it has?

There's 50-ish chapter in total, the first arc already took up 20 chapters. You can imagine that the pacing isn't leaving much room to build up to something more. There's definitely signs of it being a good novel, but I think they might've ran out of time/management is a little wonky. The latter arcs are ????? questionable. Still, it's a novel to read if you're craving unlimited... more>> flow horror!

Ah system 521 was definitely annoying (/derogatory) but don't worry it's replaced by 520 in the 2nd arc. I don't care much for them eating each other's tofu, and there's a common trope of looking at 'flashbacks' in the first and second arc. The third one is just... eh.. it's a little weird but creative? And the fourth arc seems like it was building on the foundation (the MC's character, by sending in cannon fodders) but the ending (Lord God's confrontation with 520's boss) -- is interesting, if not a little childish.

tl;dr -- kind of read like a series of short stories, don't expect fully fleshed out + wrapped up stories. Come in with no expectations. <<less

I read this novel through machine translation (MTL). The story and plot in every game were nice but what makes me reluctant to rate it 5 stars is because of the extra chapter that isn't related to the novel.

the extra chapter suddenly got me confused, Like this is horror why it becomes filled with angst and typical family drama suddenly?! The MC has a father who constantly neglects and mentally abuses him always favoring his green tea brother and his father even tried to force this green tea brother of... more>> his to flirt with the ML despite knowing that the ML and MC are already married. And additionally a bunch of side characters that suddenly question the ML about why he married the MC (they are mad because they had already planned to marry their son/daughter to the ML but were rejected before). So yeah the extra chapter is just another typical sht that makes me question the IQ of these characters <<less
