The Second Princess, Claire Fatenam, possessed no charisma, an intelligent, but ill-mannered princess.

She’s the princess of a defeated country that has recently lost a war and is about to marry into the enemy country, the Kingdom of Vallatenear.

In this political marriage, she is nothing more than a hostage and a sacrifice. Believing that being killed as soon as she got married was inevitable, she gave up on living her life as she married into the enemy country. As both her older sister and younger sister were beautiful, charismatic, and well-educated, Claire knew she would be the one to be married off.

But what awaited her was an unexpected reaction…?

“Welcome, Claire! This place will be your home and country from this day forward. And if there is anything else I can do for you, please let me know.”

Claire was perplexed by the warm welcome she received not only from the crown prince, Aglia, but also from the servants, bureaucrats, and His Majesty the King.

In this kingdom of Vallatenear, Claire was called this—a person overflowing with knowledge.

4 Stars the author communicates what they want to say very well.

This one is going to either be very enjoyable story for you or a really enjoyable. The theme is the old Connecticut Yankee In King Arthur's Court. You have the MC who comes from the empire that's controlling their vassal states access to technology, but she has memorized the libraries of the empire and is primed to bring technology to the flatheads.

Sounds like fun? Well ask yourself this, do you want to be the king of people that can't... more>> figure out maps, how to organize their bureaucracy or that they can import paper for record keeping. Heaven or Hell? You pick.

Then there is the fact that it's not well thought through. The tech empire doesn't even consider the fact that they sending a trove of technology to their vassals. (They won't even let a book cross the border). There's no thought given to just how difficult it is to build an empire based on control of knowledge of technology. Think of how the U.S. Managed only to keep the bomb out of Russia's hands for less than 4 years.

Having a central point of the story so weakly handled just ruins the experience.

Bottom Line: If you want this kind of experience, you might want to look at "Lord Kalvan Of Otherwhen by H. Beam Piper" <<less

I subscribe to the translation team so I was able to finish it early.

This was an enjoyable story if you like, "smart women who lack social grace but are appreciated by everyone around them". It's a very trope-filled read but if you're wanting something slightly predictable it's really great to read.

The translation quality is excellent, even explaining some phrases in comments and using Japanese terms when the English language doesn't encompass what the story is trying to describe.
Spoiler

the newly married princess creates an official category of worker, kind of like a bureaucrat of notary services, hard to explain in English
