Gao Han, a cultivator and an assassin from an underground organization from future Earth, accidentally died during a mission when another planet collided with the planet he was having his mission on. His soul travelled to the Latter age of the Dharma Era on earth, and when he opened his eyes, he was already in the body of a Young Master with the same name as him, who died from a Qi deviation orchestrated by his own family.

Not only did his height shrink, becoming short, and poor, he was also an abandoned child of the family who was very close to dying– or should be said, plotted against to die in behalf of his cousin.

Coming from the future, he knew that the current Earth would soon face it’s demise, so he needed to cultivate earnestly to get back his strength and leave the current Earth or else having gotten a second chance of life would just be in vain if he dies here again…. However, how could he do so? The current Earth lacks spiritual energy for him to cultivate and even the air could poison people. It seemed that there was no hope in life: Aiyah, just kill him lah?

Zaki had taken the liberty to edit the synopsis as it was really so short. The synopsis in raws was enough in Chinese but not if translated in English: (the so-called ‘lost in translation’, no fault of the Author)

Writing a cultivation novel can be challenging, so I gave it a 4, even though there were parts I was uncomfortable reading. Overall, it's okay. I like that the chara's are 3D. I also like the last ch of extra

Downside: I'm slightly annoyed with the ML always bickering with the MC.
Spoiler

They are described as being taciturn, which is in line when they are dealing with others but honestly, half of the novel is bout em bickering.

[collapse]

Second, I don't like when a diff genre novel involvea political topic in the novel, western vs China.
Spoiler

U can write issues diff fr reality but is in line with the story without comparing "China" and "western". U can also use metonymy, symbolism etc. I find it very HYPOCRITE, when an author always portrays that a country/placed named "China" is good and being maltreated in the novel, but in reality the politicians in that country are greedy and only like to twist facts.

[collapse]

Also, I couldn't see much the MC's personality being an assassin in the 2nd world and in the succeeding story. Another, there were foreshadowing mentioned yet the author failed to write stories for them. Lastly, the main charas are OP, making the succeeding ch's predictable. Anw, this is still good and okay if u ignore the above flaws.
