“Thank you for your efforts so far, Amalia.”

Amalia, a white magician, was traveling in a party with her friends, but when the group failed to defeat the dragon, Amalia was mocked as a “useless old woman” and was abandoned on the dragon mountain.

Amalia was ready to die, but the golden dragon took a liking to her and took her to the Demon World to heal her injuries.

The dragon seemed to be interested in the Human World and took the form of a human child to live with Amalia in the countryside.

Amalia was living with the dragon child, making the most of her skills in white magic and her favorite hobby of making tea, when a mercenary appeared in front of her.

He was once the young boy that Amalia had lovingly raised in the orphanage.

I'm 15 chapters in so I feel like I can make an initial review at this point. So far I love this. It's clearly still in the setup phase since the mercenary in the summary has just arrived this chapter. I have hopes it will turn into a slice of life based around her serving tea/healing the locals with white magic. [If things change I will re-visit this review.]

Translation quality is really good and the writing style is easy to follow. The dragon-turned-little-kid can be fairly amusing since he flips... more>> between acting like a small child and making very unchildlike statements. I'm quite interested in how the dynamics will change now that the mercenary has arrived (based on the write up and the prior chapters I expect he'll settle down with them).

I'm also super curious what happened to the rest of Amalia's party in the time she was in the demon realm. I get the feeling they aren't really important to the story beyond setting up the current situation given the amount of time that has passed, but they were pretty shitty to her so I kinda hope things went south for them after they left her to die. [It's always satisfying to read about "what goes around comes around" coming around to jerk characters after all, right?] <<less

I admit that I didn't read the title before reading so I was confused about why tea was being brought up in 50% of the chapters but I see now. I don't think it was bad for what it was but I didn't really enjoy it. First off the MC is kinda annoying for me. But that's just because I hate these protagonists who have a mild attitude towards everything. No hatred, no optimism, no planning, just being sad and passive all the time. I like the kid, he's great.... more>> Another thing is the ML wasn't good. His relationship with her is weird, and he's got a bland personality. And the fact that the cover image makes him look like that doesn't help. <<less
