The protagonist, Inaka Yuuji, was run over by a truck because his awareness was dulled from overworking.

“Ahー, with this I don’t have to work so much anymore. I want to spend my next life leisurely……” was the wish Yuuji blurted out. He met God and it was decided that he will be reincarnated in the countryside of the otherworld. He became Alfred Slowlet, 2nd son of a countryside noble. Will he be able to enjoy and leisurely spend his slow life in the countryside?

Nice and simple, isn’t overly complicated. A fun slice of life isekai

but this is only at chapter 52 so I don’t know if it changes pace later on

don't read if you’re hoping for a fantasy novel where the MC becomes the strongest ever and explores the world

the novel isn't bad, was better in beginning, but get's worse over time. A regular isekai with reincarnator making stuff from japan and everyone raving over it saying its amazing. The problem I mainly had with the novel is the treatment of the MC. In the storyworld we know of so far is pretty much being controlled by the women, which I have no problem with can see that in modern life with many families, however because of this the MC gets pushed around so much and eventually I feel... more>> like its just bullying. This is suppose to be a lighthearted comedy novel and I understand it is suppose to be a gag/joke about men being whipped by the females and however it is overused and makes it feel like the author has a fetish for femdom, woman dominating men.

In the beginning the gag was fine especially because it wasn't used as much there it was subtly mentioned and used once in a while but getting in to it a little further it just became the main joke and out of nowhere everyone keeps focusing on the MC, randomly they start to manhandle a little kid. Furthermore in the beginning the MC is trying to live a peaceful life but he is actively acting against his own wishes and does not even try to avoid the obstacles (people) stopping him from relaxing. <<less

Surprisingly entertaining.

Grammar: 3.5/5
Story: 2.5/5
Writing: 3.5/5

The grammar is above average, with a few instances of awkward wording/phrasing. The story is fairly standard, cut-and-dry, it's your usual reincarnation with the person using his previous knowledge to gain advantages towards daily life and possible future exploitation for financial stability. The writing is nice and consistent with humor thrown in thanks to a slightly unusual family. Over all, though this series is nothing ground breaking, it is a nice read to pass some time.

I'll be reading this when I run out of... more>> other materials to read, or when I'm feeling the need to take it slow and enjoy a small smile or two. <<less

Overly descriptive title, getting hit by truck, reincarnated as a noble son. 4/5, it's okay.

I'm getting real tired of listening to ppl complain about abuse in this story. It's a slapstick comedy, I'm not sure what you're expecting. It's pretty much the same for Tom and Jerry, Animaniacs, and a whole era of cartoons from the 90s and back.

And here's the thing, if you don't like it that's fine, personal opinion, you don't have to like it. But seriously this isn't an airport, you don't need to announce your departure.

While I do like slice of life stories I really can't stand the MC he is in one a word a wimp. No opinion, no words. Anyone can do anything to him.

The little sister is so annoying I want to smack her, and I find most characters annoying for some reason the females in this novel are portrayed so so unrealistically that even in a fantasy world I find it too exagarated. Are all men in this fantasy world simps and pi**ies???

People complain about his relationship with his older sister. They probably don't have older siblings...

Story is exactly as the title says. The protagonist *wants* to live a slow life in the country. However, he's a little too, um, unique to succeed at that for the most part. This is a mostly amusing story that you shouldn't expect too much drama or action from. Though there's a surprising amount of action, it's basically not life-or-death. The humor is mainly slapstick like the three stooges or the simpsons, not for everyone.

I'll start... more>> with the problems. All male characters act like elementary students regardless of age. Except for one boy who happens to be around 10 years old. All female characters are domineering. For some reason, the protagonist's father gets upset every time he comes up with a new idea that can make money. Some jokes just don't have any context within the story so it's a ??? every time people sn**ger at the dragonslayer for having an "embarrassing nickname"... he did legitimately kill a dragon, and dragons are rare and dangerous monsters, so killing one is an achievement, so why is it embarrassing? The author never says, and only three people (including the dragonslayer himself and the protagonist) actually consider it embarrassing. A handful of jokes get reused a bit too much, specifically the protagonist's eyes.

On the other hand, it's a fantasy different world so in a way it would be weirder if the culture were exactly like modern Japan. Why can't we have a setting where men are childish and women are domineering?

I would also like to point out that, specifically for the protagonist, he earns all the "abuse" he gets. He has infinite magic potential, he's a creative genius (as far as anyone knows), and he's a lazy smartass who keeps on taunting everyone at every opportunity. If he put in a minimum of effort and didn't make fun of everyone and play pranks all the time, his life would be as easy as he wants. In fact, every other character that frequently gets abused also earns their abuse, there's no "innocent victim" here, only troublemakers who get what's coming to them. It takes a while for the author to really show why people are harsh on the protagonist though.

Unlike most novels, the protagonist is the driving force of this story. He doesn't really react to what's going on around him so much as, there's nothing going on around him so he gets bored and does something, then everyone else reacts to it. Usually it means he cooks something or makes a game/toy for entertainment purposes. Sometimes it means he plays a prank and then whoever he pranked gets even with him. Sometimes he even decides to go on a trip.

Basically, if you don't like it because the protagonist gets abused, look at how the protagonist acts and you'll understand that he's only getting what he deserves. If you still don't get schadenfreude knowing that, you can safely drop it without worries knowing that you're a better person than I. <<less
