As the first person to give a review, I hope that I'll be able to do well.

This novel is quite realistic.

The MC's actions towards his patients and his methods were done with care, of course there's also a comedic tone in some of the instances.

... more>> Since from the beginning, he's both a taoist and doctor, he's proven his skills towards his boss and colleagues but instead of being a person known for "this and that" he and the hospital later became known for treating baldness.

The MC only does acupunture. (all of his cases and patients cured were all done by acupunture.) Of course he also does some talismans and prayers but the novel is more focused on the medicine side.

I'm not quite sure about the year where this novel will fit? Since I do think that China is known for their acupuntures. In this novel, the MC became known internationally since he was associated with a famous person whom he cured with acupunture. It was depicted that: "He's glad to finally see other people becoming for interested and more focused on learning acupunture and the exposure towards their own acupunture methods."

There might be some biases involved since the Western and Eastern (Chinese) Medical sides were being compared, especially in acupunture.

The MC is quite OP in terms of knowledge since he's still young. It is later revealed that he's also very, very good at massages since he knows where to press the acupuncture points of a person and is proficient at doing medicinal meals like: "Medicinal chicken soup, and others." He's just not good at making pills.

Alright now back to the plot, all of the MC's patients have some heavy "ties" in the world. They all have backgrounds and once it's revealed to the people, our MC is like a celebrity towards the people. There were times when he became a "red" (famous) person n times due to the broadcasts of the people amd his students on the internet.

It does seem like "Gary-stu-ish" since all of the patients experienced: "Feeling hopeless, meeting the MC, being cured, finally achieving their dreams and being more positive in life."

Mini spoiler about the jobs of the MC and will most likely reveal the flow of the story.

Spoiler

The MC was first a doctor and taoist who works at a hospital, and later builds his own clinic, then applies for a job at a University where his younger brother (Not related. Just an adress) goes to.

[collapse]

It's a light-hearted and realistic read.

The chapters are very long. When it's good, you don't really notice it but when it's not and the flow is quite bland, then you'll feel that the chapter just seems to go on.

About the "yaoi" tag, I think that this novel fits the "shounen ai" tag more. There's no pa pa pa scenes. Only some brief kisses.

The MC is someone who is so dedicated to his studies and profession that he's someone who's low on EQ. It took him a while to realize his feelings. By this, I meant by 80 chapters.

The plot is more driven towards curing amd diagnosing people. Helping strangers along the way and improving people relations.

I swear that I wasn't sure about who the ML would be. At the first chapters I was like: "Ohh... It's probably him." but then it gets confusing since I got used to reading about "rich and powerful CEO's, or just rich people in general." that I couldn't help but think that maybe "this person" might be the ML.

I guess that that's one of the fun things in reading this novel.

It's a super slow-burn.

For those who are curious, the ML is:

Spoiler

If you're thinking: "I want to ship him with his patients."

Nope.

You're wrong. ?

His patients all remain as his patients.

The ML is Rong Xixue.

His nickname is "Xiaoxue" — I believe that this means: little snow (?)

(It's just funny since the nickname is usually for females (?) and when the people finally see a tall, handsome looking guy, they were like: ???)

He's a university student who excels in academics. (Super OP in academics) He took the course connected with medicine since he wanted to be with the MC.

The ML has long been in love with the MC.

The MC is older than the ML.

[collapse]

The novel ends at around Ch 96?

The rest are extras and they are about:

Spoiler

1. MC and ML's childhood experience

2. Shao Jinling's experience as a male nurse (He used to be a drunkard but was disciplined by the MC and was "hired" to be his assistant at his shop. After many years, he became a nurse.

3. MC and ML's academic explorations with the students up the mountain.

Bear with me if some things are inaccurate since I used MTL to read all of the chapters.

Nothing special, it's too easy and relaxing. No tension, no sweetness or anything. To be honest, I was amazed to be able to read until the end, it's a shame that there are not many interactions between MC and ML, it seems that he only appears after a while and less than a third of the rest of the novels are mostly MC's daily treatment.

Was expecting ghosts, considering the PTTP which shares universe with it... should've checked the tags.

Anyway, this is also a comedy, but the focus is on the MC's medical skills. MC is OP which is reasonable since he is a genius and from family of taoists who are also doctors. And he started his career from small-scale operations when he was young. Thus, it is no wonder he is very skillful even at his present age. Just that, this young age is what makes him underestimated, though his situation will get... more>> better fast.

Okay, about ML. The other commenter is right. ML just comes and go, and I am happy that I was right to guess who ML is, since the signs were there when ML appeared. Unfortunately, their romance only started on the later half of the novel when
Spoiler

MC and ML's brother started a clinic, and MC noticed ML's feelings when he started to teach in ML's university.

I got bored sometimes, and only MC's medical skills and his patients' stories made me go on. Also, how will the romance turn out. That's it. <<less
