After the death of her elder sister after she birthed twins, she aborts the child (which was endangering her life anyway as far as I could understand from the MTL) and she does that only after the ML personally feeds her the abortion medicine. I found this stand to be quite gutsy. But her actions thereafter again plummeted her position as the MC; she commits su*cide, only later it is found that the ML somehow saved her but her actions show that she gave up and wanted to punish the ML with her action which was nothing good.

It starts as a story of two teenage sisters, the youngest one being 13 (she is the transmigrator with a Taobao store in her private space). The girls are sold to prostitution by their mother, but they manage to find help, be freed and set up their own independent female household.

Now, having split from their creepy and pe*ophilic grandparents and ruthless parents, burdened with 250, 000 taels of debt payable to their benefactors (the ML, actually) in five years time, their story of adventures and success in ancient times begins.

It is very similar to Fields of Gold, except the FL is a few years older, so if you are in the mood for a similar story, this is it. I must warn you, though, that there is a lot of sex-related disasters in this one family which was totally absent in Fields of Gold. A grandpa reaching to have s*x with a 13y.o. Granddaughter (she killed herself and the FL took over her body), a fifty years old granny sexually assaults her 70y.o. Uncle, the FL's uncle selling underage kids to the whorehouse, one SIL kicking another in the belly and causing miscarriage and permanent infertility, death of the FL's sister from difficult childbirth, the FL's premarital pregnancy and induced abortion, the FL's teenage cousin raping his own little sister, and their mom burying her alive, the FL r*ped when she was imprisoned working in a silver mine, her sister kidnapped to be r*ped, etc. For some reason, the author has no pity for women and girls in this novel, her mind is biased that way.

The FL was actually the culprit in two cases, she fed aphrodisiacs both to her granny and to her teenage cousin. Those narcotics were bought to r*pe the FL, but still. She should have known that there would be not two but four victims of her actions, two persons under influence, including a teenager who never dreamed about raping a child, and the victims of s*xual assault, the elderly and the kid. So, no, the FL is not a perfect person, nor is she is a very attractive one. She is rather normal, weak, makes mistakes, feels sick and terrified when guilty, etc.

The good thing, on the other hand, is precisely that. The FL is normal. Although she has the mental link to her Taobao store, she does not have a space to store things and does not buy things to use in this world as much, for example, to eat. She has to place things in her store as merchandise and buy them from her own store for pennies later to retrieve them if she wants to store something securely.

She does not have a photographic memory or knowledge of every plant or recipes for every food as is usual in C-novels of that sort. She has to buy a book through Taobao, read the recipe, memorize it, then return the book to the store for reselling it as a used book again. I like that feature better. She really works to adjust to the new environment and its resources, people and things, and learns how to live as she goes, day by day, as if she were in a modern world where she could consult a book from online library to see how to roast salted cashews, or borrow a ladder or a rope and a pair of gloves to escape from a deep bear trap or from the whorehouse, then return the items to the store to resell them, etc.

Another interesting detail is that the ML asks her whether she is from the 21st century very early in the story when they barely know each other having met each other only twice!

The FL is now into producing cosmetics and skin care producs and into plagiarizing C-novels to make money by publishing some chicklit and other light novels. It's repetitive and not interesting at all.

On the other side, I got grumpy that the author completely abandoned the story of the 10 y.o. Victim of r*pe whom the FL saved after she was buried alive and protected her from her parents. It's like the girl ceased to exist. I do not get it. The child is her cousin!

Even worse it that after the FL sent her parents and grandma to prison after they made yet another deal to sell them sisters against their will which is punishable by beheading and dismemberment, and left that area to avoid dealing with the remaining relatives, the sisters abandoned their little brother, never took care of that little child. The kid lived with his parents and now became an orphan. Most likely, he was sent to the old An family in their village, to learn from his pe*ophilic grandpa and rotten to the core aunts and uncles, I guess.

So, I dropped it at that point, especially because the ML and his social circle were so revolting, but the first third of the novel was good.

MC has a 10 year old cousin and the MCs actions accidentally but directly lead to her being r*ped by her adult brother and then buried alive by her parents to cover for his crime. Honestly this... Was not dealt with in the best way. MC obviously blames herself and is emotionally wrecked, but because her recovery period is timeskipped and the little girl basically never makes another appearance despite having moved in with them, it comes off narratively like they just wrote this incident off. When something huge like this happens, it really needs to have more narrative weight. You can't just move on, and if you do at least make the victim a reoccurring character. Not have her nominally move in but literally only mentioned one time in passing after that.
