Film Emperor Yu Ze had always been carefully protecting his own secret – – he was an Omega, and one that hadn’t yet been marked by an Alpha. Until one day, an accident occurred, and he swapped bodies with the notorious good-for-nothing Alpha Song Yan.

Song Yan, with great alarm: “You are an Omega!”

Yu Ze: “Calm down, you think I want to change into an Alpha that leaves his mark everywhere?”

Song Yan: “….I didn’t#&*666&&/….”

Yu Ze: “What did you say? I couldn’t hear.”

Song Yan: “I haven’t marked any Omega yet! I’m leaving my mark for true love.”

its a great novel... at least for an ABO one! whats interesting here is their relationship which is very trusting as they have body swapped multiple times and experienced what the other has and such they have a very deep understanding about each others situation and life. this is especially for the ML who actually had almost all the issues throughout the novel. Although there was no deep elaboration or constant family drama it only blew up towards the latter half of the novel it still took a while to... more>> solve but as the ML was the second child and not immediate heir and he gave it all up to stay with his lover.

im ngl at the start I was actually a bit uncomfortable with how the ML was pursuing another star at the time when the novel started and although they didnt even actually get together since the other was playing hard-to-get which caused no actual relationship to build and so after the body swap the ML saw the guys true color immediately breaking up-no in fact they never got together to break up but just letting him know hes over him. TBH I had thought the ML vey naive and in fact he was but he sort of grew up due to the MC and his family, not much but at least enough to provide stability for his own little family.

mtl is really easy to read its cute not overly fluffy has moments that make you unconsciously laugh or smile do exist.... the mature one in the novel was always MC... also I feel that although it wasnt made obvious while reading the novel when looking back at it a lot of things were just barely brushed over and we have not much info about it which is kinda disappointing such as ML's friends, MC's other family e.g brothers... as it was mentioned that he had been practically raising his family providing them with financial support it wouldve been a nic element to see them get along.

hmm right I also have to mention that although the MC is in the entertainment circle his job does not have too much to do with the novel as the MC took on very little jobs due to his weaker health so those who dislike novels revolving around the industry dont need to worry as it just revolves around MC and ML's relationship and them coping through the body swaps and moments between them.

i have to say I really enjoyed the antagonists as they did not ever make much trouble-or that they never had the opportunity to as both ML and MC trusted another wholly not to mention they knew the situation from both sides lol...

tbh when it comes to the ermm papapa* part I actually enjoyed the ML's brother- Song Qi's love story... it was way more exciting tbh :P if you read the story you'd understand what I mean... right the novel doesn't actually have any smut scenes per say it only goes up to kisses and just a brief mention of what they do next although it slightly improves laterrrr in the novel... but its good non the less

if I regret one thing in the novel its what I regret about all body swap novels I have ever read.... which is not doing each other in their lovers body... if you know what I mean... it actually almost happened here but unfortunately they switched at the last moment which only intensified the regret....

sorry for the messy review I know its all over the place but oh well I though i'd write something down since no one else did...

overall I do recommend this novel for anyone looking for a simple ABO novel that revolves around love life between ML and MC. <<less

This is definitely one of the better ABO novels with a calm older shou and an energetic young gong. They start off at odds with each other, but get together pretty quickly following a period of ambiguity. No need to worry about excessive slow burn or entangled exes, because the gong is pretty decisive.

I like that this ABO novel doesn't really go super heavy on the petite-omega, aggressive-alpha trope.

Spoiler

Although the alpha-alpha side CP involving ML's brother and his bodyguard is kinda like that.

[collapse]

In this ABO universe, the genders are more equalized, although stereotypes still exist. Nonetheless, neither the gong nor the shou really act like their gendered stereotypes, so much so that netizens were debating if they were secretly hiding their genders. There was a period of frustration in the middle portion that makes this not-that-fluffy of a novel, but it's more or less realistic, given the circumstances.

One aspect of this novel that I think is quite unique, is the author's representation of marriage. That is, that love exists between individuals, while marriage joins families and is more of a legal tie. A lot of times, the idea that marriage is the ultimate form of love is perpetuated, but this is not the case at all, as love and marriage are not mutually exclusive.

Spoiler

The gong wasn't willing to give up his crazy family at first, so the shou refused to marry him, since marriage involves joining two families. Eventually, the gong breaks ties with his family and they get married.

However, the side CP never gets married, and they are perfectly fine that way.

[collapse]

I have to say that novels where kids act like real kids will always earn brownie points with me.

Spoiler

So cute, when someone asked him which of his dads' jobs he preferred (acting vs selling ice cream), he picked ice cream because he likes to eat it.

Then he got jealous of his classmate and wanted to be a child star. His parents said no, because he would probably forget about it in a week. They were right, the following week he decided he wanted to be a pilot instead.

[collapse]

There wasn't too much depth regarding the showbiz and business aspects of this novel, but it's a pretty short and easy read and I really enjoyed it. <<less

A refreshing read on ABO novels with body swap premise. Usually they only swapped 1 time, but in here they can swap bodies continually.

Spoiler

I laughed so hard when ML and MC swapped bodies when MC was giving birth.

[collapse]

Anyway, this story shows ML growth from the beginning where he was still a playboy second son of the family until he became a responsible dad and man. The MC is a calm character and balances the ML well.

I also think that this story conflicts are realistic and the outcome is also realistic. For example the AA big bro. At the end, his story didn't go happily ever after road. I won't spoil their story here but, I kinda like where their relationship stands at the end. No sudden curve and forced HE for them.

Anyway, a light fluffy kind of omegaverse story. Very easy to MTL so yeah go for it. <<less

ah...

I should've wait until it finish translated before dive into the series.

Anyway, at 1st I'm a bit skeptical about this series whther it' is up to my liking. Plus, the description really didn't win me over. But then I gave it a try.. and am so glad I did that! it's well written, a good plot pacing and as per c30 where I am right now, the sweetness started to blossom.

so I really wanted to review this novel but well, the other comments already talk too much about the things I wanted to tell lol, good job!. Anyhow in my opinion this story is unlike other cringe Abo story, this put more focus on character development of both parties and how they cope with their swapped body lives. It didn't seems much but believe me, give it a try, and you'll like it.

They dont do unnecessary things like kidnaping or yknow scheme that sooo cringe that the drama overlaps,... more>> really. <<less

I love a good body swap story, and it's always such a bonus with ABO when the O is the older more mature one and the A is the bright and energetic younger one. They get together officially around

Chapter 30

which is quite quick by my usual standard, but I felt like it really was the perfect amount of time for them to develop feelings and confirm them. It's also refreshing when characters don't pine for an ungodly amount of time, and it felt very in character for them to be quick to make things official.

The plot of this is very relationship focused and mostly revolves around the two of them swapping bodies and dealing with ML's mess of a family. I'll also say the tag "Love Interest Falls in Love First" doesn't apply too much to this story as there really wasn't that much time between ML realizing his feelings and then acting on them. Honestly felt like it was pretty much immediate haha!

There's something really special about their relationship from the body switching aspect, in that they truly are there for each other in every way and actually have to fully communicate their feelings to one another so that they can accurately represent each other in public. It's really such an unexpectedly healthy way to begin a relationship?? Also the fact that they have truly experienced what it's like to be the other person!! Though

Spoiler

I did die laughing when they switched bodies while MC was about to give birth right after ML said he wished he could bear the pain for MC lmaooooo the first time an Alpha has experienced giving pregnancy and giving birth hahahaha

[collapse]

For a film emperor, MC doesn't actually take on many acting roles in this, which could be a pro or con depending on if you like entertainment novels for the drama scenes. It made sense for this story not to delve too much into it though as only one of them was actually in the industry, and it would be kind of difficult to have acting scenes with the ML in MC's body or vice versa.

Also as a note on MC's character, I love how every time he encounters another O in ML's body he's just like "wow they're so cute if I was actually an Alpha I would definitely have a hard time saying no" lmaooo he is such a girl's girl. MC's whole perspective with love and his relationship was so mature too, he never let gossip get to him and didn't get caught up by other people's attempts to devalue or cut into his relationship with ML. He truly was ML's comfort amidst all the drama too, I just loved the way they supported and uplifted each other.

Also on the big bro,

Spoiler

I f*cking died when the bodyguard yelled he would sleep with big bro for a million yuan like 10/10 in the moment bargaining skills. We can only stan.

The extras with the AA side couple though omg chefs kiss. I need a whole story with just them!!! <<less

One of my favorite novel. It’s very light and fun to read and the MC is very calm and mature in making his decision. There’s no dog blood drama here and it mostly focus on ML and MC’s relationship development.

I wish there’s more explicit content for older bro

The MC and ML start off as a two individuals who dislike one another -I wouldn't call it hate because ML is basically petty :he doesn't do anything horredeous and MC basically is a Buddha and can't be bothered.

The novel's good -worthy of 3.5 stars. It could have been executed better though, the concept was so interesting and ML and MC's dynamic was good -the base was a good one But it lacked something -flair ?? It was a pleasant read but there wasn't a wow factor there. It felt... more>> like I was having noodles and it was delicious but could do with just a little bit more of spice. But I really enjoyed the translator's little notes, lol so cute. They made the whole thing more interesting and for this reason my reading experience was even better- so it is now 4 stars.

MC and ML's dynamic is basically a ruly, childish but good-hearted, sweet kid and a gentle person gong x mature, introverted, most likely a president/class monitor shou -except it's not a school setting, they are both adults out in the world. <<less

I just wanna vent a bit of my emotion after reading this novel here. I don't do review often, but I just got a lil bit annoyed.

The only thing I got after completed reading this is just pitty towards those cannon fodders. Like, actually they could do better if it's not because the author made the protagonists halo too strong, too bright, that everything they did are right, got happy endings, live happily ever after, things like that. And those opposite them got abnormally low IQ, and unknown ends and bad ends (I know it's not important tho, but I still got mad when I think about the big bro's ex sugar baby, like actually he deserves bETTER)
I still can't put my mind at ease because there are too many plot holes even after the story is ending.
