“Do not underestimate me just because I’m young! I’ve experienced life ten times over!”

I’m the unfortunate princess, wrongly labeled as an enemy’s offspring, enduring nine deaths and rebirths. But wait, there’s more.

My real father happens to be a war hero, the mightiest Holy Knight on the entire continent, who defeated the Demon King?! He fathered me through a forbidden romance with a princess, only to abandon me afterward.

“Father, that’s how I’ll address you.”

In this life, I’m invincible!

To survive the harshness of the royal palace, I’ve decided to use and eventually discard this audacious father.

“…I’ll call you Papa.”

However, in this fast-paced life, I’m pursued by knights, faithful as loyal hounds, and then… who’s this prince?

“Asha, you mustn’t get engaged to anyone else.

We spent a night together, didn’t we?”

What’s this prince saying?

A father who engaged in a forbidden love affair(?), the Holy Knight, and an enemy prince yearning for forbidden love(!).

Can the princess change her fate amidst these turbulent affairs?

I'm the new translator of this story, so my review might be a bit biased, but I really enjoy this story. I'm not saying anything about the quality of my translation, but the plot flows pretty nicely. It's well-structured in the first volume and I haven't noticed any abandoned story lines yet. The story is really interestiong and captivating with many sweet and cool moments.

Here's my short summery of the starting point and the most important characters:

Asha:

Spoiler

The princess Asha or Anastasia, may have lived a few lives, but because she always died as a child she hasn't matured yet. Her plans might not be the best ones, but after all she never reached her teens and never received great treatment inside the palace, so it's understandable. She is a good natured person and very lovable. Although she initially planned to abandon her father after using him to survive, she slowly starts to love that shy guy. She will keep her mindset of abandoning him for a while, but it gets obvious quite quickly that she is the one afraid of being abandoned by him. There is an oracle about the child of god, and that is sole reason why her family recognized her, an illegitimate child with an unknown father of probbably enemy heritage, as an official member of the royal family. Asha doesn't think, that she's that child (but we all believe that she actually is of course) because her lives so far were so tragic, it wouldn't fit being the beloved child of god. As her mother was a great magician and her father is the strongest holy knight with divine power, Asha actually posses both of them: mana and divine power, which causes her great pain for a while, because they don't match well together in one person. This could actually be deadly. Asha trains to control them, but her possessing holy power has to be kept a secret as this would make her a great target. She also becomes friends with both a highly promising Holy Knight and a Magic Swordsmen, whom she saved from death indirectly.

Parciel (her father) :

Spoiler

Her father Parciel Phaeon is Asha's real biological father and a nice guy with a hard and cold facade. He was a talented s*ave and quickly became the captain of the 2nd knight division Veritas (Holy knights) because of his vast divine power and skill. In the Holy Knights he is well liked and an idol, but because of his stone like behavior, he hadn't bonded with his comrades. Only a few talk somewhat comfortably with him. He loved Princess Beatrice (and their love story is really sweet), but her death hit him hard. Whenever someone talks bad about her, he still gets agitated and will defend her honor. [Not sure if this is manhwa only because I only skimmed through the full novel:He is stuck in an abusive relationship with someone high ranking in the temple, who abuses his fear of loss, and his fear of causing great pain and suffering for his loved ones to manipulate him and thus control him. This is also why he keeps pushing away everyone precious to him – he doesn't want to cause them harm.] BUT inside the novel he still feels guilty about having a daughter and having loved Beatrice which he seems as a sin. He doesn't want Asha to suffer because of his sins. He knows that Asha is his daughter, even if not, he would adore her just for being the daughter of the one he loved. The reason why he doesn't tell her, that she's his daughter, is because of his low origin and the hatred he recieves from the nobles. He doesn't want it to be directed at Asha. At the same time he hates himself so much, that he thinks Asha would be dissapointed if she were to find out about the truth, because someone like him is her real father. He has a great trauma and tragic circumstances but is a loveable character overall.

ML:

Spoiler

The male lead is the Prince of the enemy country (the one where Ashas father is supposed to come from) and 3 years older than Asha. He was taken as a hostage and imprisoned inside a tower oninside the royal palace. There he was isolated from all human interactions and abandoned. He didn't recieve proper meals, clothes nor education. The maids who bring his meals don't talk to him and are obviously hostile. He is a skilled magician and thus is able to escape from the tower from time to time to steal spell books and other material about magic. His mother died while shielding him from an explosion caused by the war between both countries and he often dreams if her death. Because of his playboy uncle his mother taught him about "taking responsibility" early on (about 4-6 years old) but he never received proper education about the matters between lovers because of the war. This lead him to his naive knowledge about having to take responsibility after sleeping in the same bed with a female. He's cute. He loves animals and always cuddles with Asha's divine beast.

about the starting point:

Spoiler

Asha will join the temple after being accepted as a member of the royal family to protect herself from her aunties. One of them had put her eye on the throne and as of now, Asha is the one next in line to the throne as she is the daughter of the true heir, Princess Beatrice. So Asha is an obstacle in her way. Not sure whether her auntie has something to do with her mother's death, but she is very skeptical towards the temple and fears they want to gain the true control over the country. Her auntie thinks that the temple uses Asha as a marionette to gain said control, which is why she antagonizes Asha. This will lead to many many schemes from her side, which Asha has to deal with, as she wants Asha to be a social outcast with no rights to the throne whatsoever. She also doesn't hesitate to ruin the honor of her dead sister, which makes me wonder what kind of relationship they had. Their first move is to make Asha a social outcast by ruining her naming ceremony. Second obe is to take her in as her adopted child, which also makes Asha's auntie look like a great person and her benefactor.

everything coming now leans more heavily into spoiler territory and us only relevant for the people unsure about picking this novel up. The spoilers will probably continue to become more severe, so be warned!

How Asha met the ML early on:

Spoiler

Due to losing concentration because of her auntie Stellar, Asha lands inside a tower. The she meets the prince of the enemy country. Hes being imprisoned inside the tower on the palace grounds of Santra (asha's country). She sympathizes with him because if many similarities and they become friends. First she only brings him stuff and food, but later on she sends him her divine beast as support to no have nightmares as night. Once when Asha didn't have enough divine power to send her divine beauty, she telephoned there instead but had run out of divine power and thus had to stay the night. This causes him to take responsibility.

Academy life + Stella (younger auntie) :

Spoiler

Asha received private lessons from the dean of the academy in magic. After he taught her everything the was to teach at the age of 7-8, he recommended her to join the academy and Asha was promoted to the advanced classes (for ages around 18 I guess) immediately. Of course this didn't sit well with the nobles in the academy. They were all followers of Stella (younger auntie) and Aquilla (older auntie). Stella and a girl named Giselle harassed Asha, thinking she is full of herself. Stella also was pretty anxious because of her fiancé (Ark) who became Asha's knight and followed her around (about 15-16 years when Asha was 7-8). Overall Asha's existences caused a lot of anxiety in the people around her. Stella felt like the people close to er were stole or left her because if Asha. Not sure how to feel about Stellar. Early on I thought she was just immature and copied her bad attitude regarding Asha from her bigger sister, but after she has bullied people inside the academy and her best friend tried to assassinate Asha (Giselle tried to kill Asha, but I'm not sure how this relates to Stella) , I'm curious how this will play out. I hope both Stellar and Aquilla will regret their choices and opnions.
