The first 100 chapters is pretty good, but it went downhill after that. The author skips the story too much.
He need to search for a wife? BAM, next few chapters he already had a lot of wives. And the author just explained in one paragraph. He married his lover, got children, but we don't even know their name or what happened to them. Or even who he marries.
Also authors write a lot of characters, and they've got named. But they would be forgotten later. Even his disciples never got mentioned ever again. We don't know if they become officer on his kingdom, or did they died. They just disappear.
He wrote interesting characters, with interesting characters and background, but they would never got mentioned again.
The ending somehow explain a bit why this happen, but it does not quiet working because the narration is not just by the MC POV, but also other characters. It seems the author has run out of idea and drives after the first hundred chapters, as the length of the next chapters become shorter and shorter. The author also seems to lost track of how old the MC was.
The kingdom building is interesting, but after a while become boring.

I really wanted to like this, but I didn't. I like streaming stories, and streaming in another world sounded fun.

Unfortunately the pacing is terrible. The author jumps around and skips things without clearly explaining. Sometimes I wasn't even sure which world he was in.

Characters are very one-dimensional, especially female characters who are portrayed pretty negatively. I get some serious incel vibes.

I fully admit I didn't get very far in, but I seriously doubt it gets better so I didn't waste my time.

Disappointed.

Just a heads up. The beginning is fantastic: the YouTube channel dynamic, the MC's grudges, the development of the Isekai's setting & lore.

However by chapter 70-80 everything resets. The MC is cut off from YouTube, the MC's fat piggish body has completely been shed is no longer a plot point, the relationships in the real world are severed, and the idea of him ever returning to his Korean life as the readers know it is cast aside as we officially begin the countdown from 3650 days in the Otherworld.

The pace,... more>> the characters, and the themes all change to the point that I stopped reading around chapter 100-ish; it is simply not the same story we were introduced to.

Its pretty underrated. His reactions were quite normal at the beginning though he was much more calm than me (at least). Has potential. Am looking forward to its development

The MC is an oversized fatty ? average at best and do living via streams or youtube video.

What irks me is the way MC thinks or the author, MC say it was trouble some if the wolf get known by anyone, its just trouble he thought.

But the video that he capture in the other world planes, is posted by him, so if the authority somehow get interested to the said video this fatty would be good as died.

He is a eater he loves to video while eating to get views,... more>> there is so many meat on the other world that can be eaten but what he do to earn money? He video it and not create his own restaurant.

If he somehow just get trapped inside the other world planes and can not go back after 3650 days then this would be good but....

By the way, I'm a early dropper so if the early chapter don't work for me then good bye.

The best way to tell a story is to tell what was happening not what was need to fill in the story.

I say it's interesting at first. You wont find it anywhere (at least for me, this is my first time finding this kind of novel)

It revolves around kingdom building, a lot...

You wont even find romance in this novel...

I love the technology gap that this novel has, it was interesting for me. My opinion on this novel is more subjective than objective. I love the way he ruled over his kingdom. It's just relaxing. You wont find excessive scheming here an there, our MC is ruthless to his enemies. He... more>> will kill everyone who disturbs his life.

I hate the time-skip this novel has. I mean, this one just jump over 4 months to 10 years without explaining what happens in those years. Minor spoiler sorry, he has a child. But he just explains it in a paragraph or so. Well, yeah so if you into a kingdom-building novel. This one will give you satisfaction to a certain extend. If you here for an adventure in the other world, romance with elve, or harem. This novel isn't for you.

But I can say, I enjoyed my time here. <<less

Actual score: 2.5/5 (though it feels too generous too; I say it because I got some security check garbage that canceled my score, and there are no halves, anyway). An average novel at best.

If I were to speak of my impressions, then it's a novel written after (based on) other Korean kingdom building novels. Unfortunately, while it isn't a failure, it hardly excels, and there are parts that are a letdown.

The setting and general idea (plot) are acceptable and even a bit interesting (though far from original), but many aspects... more>> are half-baked and not really thought through that well, or simply silently retconned in a sense that the author ignores what he had written earlier for convenience's sake.

The same applies to kingdom building aspect of the novel. It's kind of okay on the surface if you don't care to stop and think about it, but if you start digging deeper (and I mean like digging 5 cm deep in soil with a stick), problems will start to emerge. On the other hand, this is the main theme of the novel, so you may find it enjoyable if you want casual kingdom building. Oh, and the author didn't butcher the numerous battles in particular (though they aren't elaborate, either).

On a side note, the flow of time was messed up. The author couldn't really manage it well, so more time passed in the novel than it felt like.

The protagonist... is pretty half-assed, but done well in some aspects. I like how he changed a lot. I also like how his mindset evolves throughout the novel (ie. the protagonist experiences new things and finds himself in new, different circumstances, and thus gradually changes his mind on various matters). The half-assed parts are mainly the details. A whole lot of them. Also, there's another issue... the protagonist went from being a fat, unlikable fck to being a... chad gary stu, maybe? I can't quite connect those two together, but... anyway, he got gud, but also became kind of vague and generic in terms of personality.

Of the other characters, I quite liked the otherworld people, especially the Ainos. They are quite wholesome, in a rare way for a webnovel of this sort of genre (unfortunately, focus on their society fades away after 100-150 chapters). The pets were nice too. Also, the protagonist's mother is nice.

Spoiler

It's pretty rare for a protagonist to take his mother into isekai, so kudos for him for not forgetting her and going off on a merry adventure alone.

[collapse]

Romance (harem) was utter garbage. The author skipped writing everything he could skip and even more. It won't be an exaggeration to say that the protagonist's mother's romance was better written and had more "screen time" than the protagonist's own romance. Not to mention the harem.

Spoiler

The protagonist only waifed one girl on his own (and she had to prod him quite heavily too because he wouldn't move his butt), and the others were pretty much arranged marriages which were so random, generic, and ignored by the author that we know not a single wife except for the first waifu, Maize, and I was shocked to find out that the MC had children, for there had never even been any mention of any pregnancy, not to mention that it felt like only a few months have passed since the arranged marriage, not a few years.

[collapse]

So like I said, if you plan to read this for romance/harem, immediately give up the idea. The protagonist's pets get more care from the author than the harem, and the pets don't even appear more than 1/4 of the time.

Overall, it's a casual kingdom building novel you can kill some time with. Nothing more, nothing less. <<less

Still at chapter 38, but liked the realism, I love this style of isekai, the idea that you can "prepare" yourself, the issue is with how the author seems to evade human interaction for the main character, the situation is "realistic" 0n the overall development, but he seem bad at write human interaction, he even avoid it as much as possible, and some fail at the realism. The fact he was doing all that on a land that was not his, using heavy machines etc and no one noticed is... more>> weird, it would make more sense if he secretly bought the land before start to explore etc. A amazing idea, but not well executed. <<less

This is a very slow paced and boring novel. The beginning is interesting but it becomes too casual after awhile. The main character just steamrolls through everyone in the new world and nothing exciting happens.
