As mentioned by many reviewers this is an easy going story, but I really like the premise of the stories. Especially the choosing of the scripts. The chosen scripts are mainly very interesting as it’s like having stories inside a story. One of the ones that get me is ‘Survivor’. I cried reading it : (if you like reading piece of life it’s really good and interesting. For example, ‘I became a big star after quitting the entertainment world’. It has similar style and plot.

Would recommend reading if you... more>> like storng and op ML that have great power. I will be coming back to read this once in a while to collect chapters. <<less

This novel is enjoyable if you focus on the ML's side and enjoy it. Excessive focus may lead to you hating him, as the ML is a lucky character in every way, loved by everyone who meets him (so far).

The positive side is the possibility of enjoying the stories of the films in which ML works. On the other hand, I hate one of his films so much that I do not want to read the chapters related to it.

As someone who came from the manhwa, I want to tell... more>> you that its drawing is cute enough and there is really no reason to ignore it and come here.

Frankly, if you haven’t started reading the manhwa or the novel, put the manhwa on your list that I doubt you will read, and check it out next year or so.

I wrote this review to remind where I'm at, so please don't trust it <<less

I don’t know why people who read at NU keep giving low ratings because they can’t see character development. If you badly want one, you can read those books with the tag New York’s Best Seller; I feel you need to read those kinds of books.

The translation is decent. It was not to the point that you felt like you were reading a mtl. Those who review badly because of that are too picky, a know-it person, or have really low reading comprehension.

The book is well-written enough, and the story... more>> is a laidback one. If you watch/read Campfire Cooking in Another World with My Absurd Skill, you’ll feel the same when reading this one. The movies/series the author introduces will hook you, and reading those scenes will make you feel like it was from a real movie. I like the film Over the Rainbow and My Clinic (this is the series in which he got conflicted if he was doing just fine with the ability or using it too much.)

The MC lived different lives, short or long lifespans, but he didn’t even become human once in those lives. He’s always a monster.

All the books present contained stories where he died at a young age. Monsters who died because they were weak and monsters with short life spans.

He couldn’t guess the amount of books here.

From those lines, you’ll know how many lives he has and how many deaths he must endure to have a peaceful life in a human body.

So, what kind of character development do people need from him? If I were a God and saw MC go through those lives, I’d put him in a world where he would have a peaceful, fulfilling, and easy life.

Some of you may think he was too OP because of the library. Nah. He isn’t. He practice and learn for the role he got. He studied the violin, learned to dance, and even acting. He even practiced and waited eight months to learn to become a villain. The books/ability only gave him the aura he needed for the role, making it more realistic and close to what he wanted; he still does the acting (you are s*upid if you think it was all thanks to the ability lol) <<less

TLDR: same formula of receive script -> use random ability that's never mentioned again -> win praises while acting like a cute kid -> repeat x1000

no character development or plot development. He's lived over 1000 lives? Still acts like a 9 yo. Any experience? Some flashbacks are given but he hasn't taken away anything from his past life. Literally an endless repeat of script ability acting actor god next script

Honestly if I have to read one more line about Seojun and everyone else's twinkling eyes" I might rip my... more>> hair out. His eye twinkles like every other chapter! Far more than dumbledore

honestly this story is really s*upid. So he uses these random abilities to act without rhyme or rhythm. Like pretty much most of his acting is just him cheating with his abilities as he wants to become a "superstar." He completely acts like a kid despite remembering his 1000 (!!) lives! Like he barely has a limit on his abilities too and some are super strong and some have weaker effects but he doesn't ever use them for anything else - like it's just such a s*upid premise that he could do almost anything else with unlimited use of over 1000 random abilities but doesn't. All he does is wait for a script -> twinkles his damn eyes all day -> use his ability to act -> everyone sings praises OMG BEST ACTOR EVER -> next movie

[spoilers: even when he is stuck on portraying a character and fails to become it... guess what? He just waits until he can unlock and find another ability to solve it! Like way to be a frickin cheat. And also he has these good luck abilities and stuff that he never uses because EACH ABILITY IS ONLY USED ONCE for that script and then it's pretty much thrown away.] I like wish fulfillment but this has literally zero character or skills development so it frankly is just terrible.

legit the same cycle over and over again. I also honestly don't like that he doesn't seem to ever act without his abilities so he's really just cheating and his lack of maturity and general s*upidity of the plot made me quit. I went through 300 chapters and it's all the same thing. So tiring <<less

Story 5/5 - really entertaining and refreshing to read.

Translation 2/5 - very bad and not consistent at all. Its probably mtled and been lazily proofread. MC name keep switching between seojoon and seojun. Come on its the MC name at least translate that right, I got so confused I thought there really is another character.

Overall 4/5 - A really good read if you can endure the translation quality. Hope the translator up the quality a bit cause its really confusing sometime. But they made a good pick to translate.

Get script / meet actors > select powers > act / actors overpraise > media/fans overpraise

It is this simply writing loop that has kept me here for 15~ repetitions. There is no variation or trials for the MC. Entertaining since it is all payoff, it's fun to watch him succeed. I think the powers are underused, explored despite being the most interesting part. Some of the Korean hype can come off as passively negative. If this is how fan cafes work IRL in Korea I feel bad for the actors... more>> since it sounds exhausting.

Overall it's a simple easy story to indulge in and I find myself coming back every 2 months to read another 60 chapters. <<less

This is a delightful and relaxing read, and I'm absolutely in love with this novel! The story is very bright and lovely. So far, there's no unnecessary drama or conflict, which is a relief, especially given the age of the protagonist.

It's a slice of life of Lee Seojun, a child who, influenced by his previous life, want to become a superstar. Although his original goal is to be famous, he really loves acting, and is very sincere towards his works. His dedication, talent, and kind-hearted personality make him a perfect... more>> protagonist.

Note that he's one of a few characters that doesn't make me feel like rolling my eyes despite being so perfect.

However, what I like best is that, despite containing his previous lifes' memories, his overall bearing is still like that of a child's (although it's inevitable that he's a bit more mature than his peers). His thoughts and behaviour are still innocent and childlike, without him pretending, making him incredibly lovable.

On the other hand, the supporting characters are more well-developed, and their growth throughout the story is touching. 🥲 Unlike Seojun, they have to face many obstacles, experience despair, shed tears, and endure unhappiness, yet they all manage to overcome these challenges and grow up over time. I'm not crying, you're crying.

The subplots involving movies and dramas are exceptionally well-written. I'm really impressed with how mindful the author is while writing those scripts. Honestly, each scripts can easily serve as templates for future novels, and I'll be more than happy to read them all.

The overall atmosphere of the novel is heartwarming. The loving family dynamic and the presence of kind-hearted people in Seojun's life create a positive and uplifting energy that's a joy to immerse myself in.

The only thing I hope to be improved is the amount of times Seojun relies on his special ability to act. It's too much of a cheat, and quite unfair to other actors. Although it can be seen as his golden finger, and he also works hard for his acting, I sincerely wish he can surpass his limit and reach his goal by using more of his own efforts. I can't wait to see how he develops further in the story! <<less

Dear translator,

There seems to be a problem. Whenever I try to read this amazing story, I get redirected to the novelupdates main page. It's been a long while since I read this and I really want to read it again. I tried refreshing and I've also tried waiting for it to fix itself. It worked but it suddenly didn't. I don't really want to repeat this process of refreshing and waiting so can you or someone else help me?

Anyways, for those who are wondering if this story is good,... more>> yes it is. Please read it. The story has comedic moments, wholesome family and friends, and a cute kid in it, what more can you want?

This novel is a 10/10 for me. Even in the MTL, every word (well... not every word but still-) shines. I've cried, laughed, and smiled reading this. It's something that feels relatable in a way, with how daily life and normal experiences as well as emotions are shown. Many characters appear over the course of 600+ chapters, and each one of them is affected by the actions of Lee Seojoon.

This novel can be compared to a journey with a character, except the character feels real and right next to you.... more>> I highly recommend this for people who are fairly empathetic and cry when reading novels you are emotionally invested in. This is a worthwhile read, and by far one of the most memorable ones I have encountered. <<less

This is a novel I initially picked up for fluff, thinking it's a cutesy read to pass the time while I wait for the other novels I'm reading to be translated, but I stayed for the plot and the twists and the characters. And now I'm reading the raws up till the latest because it's so damn good!

Forget the mediocre title, the author is a sneaky plotter. There are cookies and bombs everywhere, you just don't know it. I swear this is in an unexpected gem, no, a f*cking entire... more>> gemstone mine.

At first, I was a sceptic since everyone loves the MC and everything is 'perfect'. It would be boring after sometime. Or so, I thought.

It reminds me of those wholesome animes with deep undercurrents and backstories if you check the manga. Everything will be explained (from his reincarnation to his personality to even the side characters' backgrounds), and questions you didn't even ask will be answered too. Author is really damn sneaky.

In its entirety, this is a healing novel that makes you laugh and cry and go 'aww' almost every damn chapter. The sub-stories (the plots of the movies and dramas) are so well-made, they could be standalone novels on their own. The best thing about this novel is how author paid attention to details, and how those were to be woven back into the story chapters later.

Istg. It is so damn impressive. <<less

There's no villain, barely chara development, but there's a lot of wholesomeness and OP.

You just enjoy the slice of life of an OP MC.

There's no frustration, no annoying villain.

If I should describe it, It is a retirement slice of life, where he's already done the hardwork, now he's enjoying his life.

While for some of people think it could be too bland, I like it.

Each arc they have interesting script!

I read for his script choosing and his journey.

If you like this type. You will enjoy superstar of tomorrow too.

I really love this light novel. I don't mind unrealistic cheats and all, but I have a warning for anyone who is considering reading this.

The MC never suffers, ever. All the characters around him are good people, and he never gets harassed by crazy fans or has any anti-fans. You expect there might be a few ill-intentioned characters, or actors/actresses that are envious of his good luck, but his cheat abilities mean everyone who ever meets him will love him.

I actually really like reading about these kind of novels, like... more>> success stories where the MC has a really op ability but this is just a heads up <3 <<less

Okay imma start this with how I found the translation first before I focus on the story itself. Because it was... readable. It's clearly a lot better than MTL, but I still found it lacking in a lot of places. The names were often miss spelled and if I hadn't read a lot of korean novels before, a lot of details and other things pertaining korean culture would've been lost on me.

Okay now the story itself... I think it's good for a very casual read through.

I have to say though,... more>> I think the Author is very inexperienced. Even myself, a hobby writer, saw a lot of rookie mistakes while reading. For example, the Author often gives a lot of attention to unimportant details that will never be mentioned again, just to empathize how great our MC is.

Two examples here:

Spoiler

1. When he was a baby, there was a video of him eating and drinking baby food, which made other babies around his age, who were refusing to eat (tbh, I really disliked the first arc because the "problems" were so... weird.) Anyways, they were 'hypnotized' to eat and it was a whole thing. And then a viewer made a poll that asked which babies from which age group were affected, and I think it worked until a baby was about 20 months old? But yeah, what a useless detail to know. And I explained it quickly, but that poll thing went on for several paragraphs.

2. Another thing that was stuck in my head, because it's very similar to the previous one, is that when MC was in a famous movie the first time, he used an ability to get pity, because something very tragic happened to him. Okay. And that was the reason a lot of people exited the cinema in tears. It was the reason why the movie got more traction than expected. Okay. But then again, came the useless details. There was nearly a whole chapter about this youtuber who explained the stats (?) of how many of the people cried during the film. Apparently it was 0-10%. Who cares. They also mentioned that several times. There was also a challenge that was created due to this. I think it was either "how many times can you watch the movie without crying" or "how many films does it take you to stop crying". The translation made me confused so I'm not sure. But it was also excessively mentioned.

[collapse]

These kinds of useless details that nobody really cares about are something that is very recurring in this novel. On the other hand, I felt like a lot of times the important parts were just glossed over. Mentioned in passing, with very little clarification. It's a common mistake rookie writers make.

And now to my personal opinion about the plot in itself. Well, tbh I knew what I was going into, but I was still kind of disappointed. I really didn't like how it seems like MC puts effort into nothing, he just relies on his abilities. Which honestly wouldn't be all that bad, if there was at least some kind of psychological or emotional issue going on. But there's nothing. It's literally boring. Now I understand slice of life isn't about action or drama. But even the most mediocre slice of life has more suspense than this. Everything is so predictable that I can't bother to continue reading this. But well, if you like that sort of stuff, I truly don't think it would be a bad read. It just really wasn't my taste. <<less

Detail about the reincarnation:

Spoiler

So the MC doesn't inherits all of his past memories but he stored them inside a library in his mind. He can then select which memories he wants to see and he will adopt new memories as he grow older. It's also nice to see that despite being a reincarnation, the MC doesn't fully become like adult but his mental slowly grows. There are a lot of time where we see the MC acting like a kid at his age, which makes it adorable. This is refreshing takes unlike all other reincarnated MC who immediately possess the mentality of an adult.

First sorry for bad english but I just want to share my opinion about this novel.

For me this is a good and relaxing story, this is what I read when I tired reading never-ending-problem novel. About the plot, I kinda agree regarding the plot repetitiveness but each movie that Seojun play in it really interesting to read and have the similiar aspect with Seojun past life, btw I especially like the music one.

The things that I don't like about this novel is when other taken advantage of Seojun popularity. Its... more>> show since earlier chap ig, its when MC uncle want brownblack collab with baby Seojun and MC uncle want to recruit Seojun to his agency. But its still fine since they're helping Seojun family a lot and his uncle always try his best for Seojun career, he also give Seojun freedom to choose what movie he want to play in.

Spoiler

but then come this bankrupt production company that regain their company just because Seojun name, and because Seojun the movie characters will also be played by evan and rachel (hollywood actor from shadowman movie), what a jackpot right. Well at least the owner was changed, similiar like Seojun uncle who taking over the agency.

[collapse]

Regarding translation its kinda miss sometimes, but I really appreciate the work since reading mtl was hard cus the name and character gender is vague. Btw the order of translated chapter and raw chapter is different, translated chapter 161 is chapter 122/123 in the raw.

Regarding good or bad aspect in the novel I still recomend this, so please try it and happy reading. <<less

It's a really cute slice of life.

Jun is kind and funny and really care for his friends it's adorable. I love to see his passion for acting everytime even if he's talented in multiple things (music, sports, arts etc.) he will always choose acting over everything.

He uses his abilities a lot but even without it he is still capable of acting, he may gives him a boost though.

... more>> There's no villains (just some bad person sometimes) and I like that because it's relaxing.

Jun have many connections with all the people he acted with so there's a lot of characters from different countries so sometimes it's a little too much. But most of them have actually personalities and not just bland.

I really like Jack and the Shadowman Cast.

The translation is kind of bad but it is still readable.

Spoiler

Over The Rainbow is my favorite work of him, the story was incredible and really emotional. It was the first time music background really mattered in the work he did so I liked how invested he was. Jason (the assistant) is so sassy too I love it, and his father/son relationship with Benjamin (the compositor) is cute. The way he also donated part of his salary for the children that live a situation similar to Gray almost made me cry.

I'm very grateful to the translation team that had bring this beautiful story to us and the quick releases but the I'm sorry to say this: translation quality could really use some work.

The pronouns is all over the place and the conversations are sometimes rlly confusing, I had to read it a few times to understand it.

It's get a little bit better in later part, but you have to be able to endure it if you want to read the gem.

Pacing: Slow

If you see the title and thought that it's gonna be an idol story with just little prologue about the main characters childhood/ past, then you're wrong. Very wrong.

This is a downright tale of life from the moment MC was born to... well, his successful career probably. It's slow (as you can see, the novel is still ongoing at 600+ chapters) but worry not it's sweet and entertaining!

Spoiler

There's gonna be a lot of baby chapters, then a little time skip and he's only 5 year old. By the time I read this he's still in an early period of his life (a 7/8 year old kid in chapter 72)

I love Seojun as the protagonist of the story and worry for him but can't really sympathize with him because

he's much too young. He has led many lives but his memories are sealed and only come out bit by bit if he need it, so he's still a child, both mind and body (Still love him. He's too cute!!!) And he's OP as hell (a good thing tho so he won't be hurt)

it's still early? Probably haha. Well, I enjoyed his bright and positive attitude and looking forward to his character development!

The other characters is nice, not too stand out but not too bland either. They all have some sort of quirk that made them interesting. Too bad their screen time is a little short.

Spoiler

I wish he will have a friend/ rival tho. All the characters he met so far was so much older than him that eventho they are coworker they still treated him preciously. And I like that, but I wish he would also have a friend his age later. Well, he's still too young.

As I said before, the daily life made this story precious. His superstar career is still the most anticipated, but his other lives

Ok, I must agree that its just a loop..... But man is this novel so fun and entertaining. I am currently at Chap162 and I am loving Seojun's acting, its so fun to try and be immersed in his acting and be immersed reading his story.

Regarding his "Maturity" even though he lived 1000 lives.... Isnt he acting pretty mature for his age though? He doesn't get angry easily or have grudges...
