“Boss…I’m really sleepy….” My eyelids were starting to feel heavy. After all, it was past 3am. Most normal people would be asleep by now.

“From now on, don’t call me boss. During this 24 hours date, we are not in a boss subordinate type of relationship.” Suyang whispered in my ears. “If you’re tired, then take a nap. I’ll wake you up when the sunrise begins.”

Then, he tightened his grip and I felt so much warmer in his embrace. “Let me sing you a lullaby.” Suyang suddenly suggested.

“Lullaby? Why lullaby…?”

“Isn’t it common for couples to sing to each other? I read it online.” Suyang explained. Before I gave him consent, he began to sing, “Pig…..your nose has two holes…”

I smacked Suyang, “What type of lullaby is this?”

“Stop interrupting. I purposely chose this song for you. You’re ruining the atmosphere.”

“You’re the one ruining the atmosphere!” I couldn’t help but giggle hysterically.

I turned over and saw how serious he was. It made me laugh even harder. “Stop being so funny!”

MC is a girl who can see ghosts and winds up in solving mysteries with her roommate writer ML.

Ah I ended up binge reading this whole novel in a day!

Love the cover, the translation, the characters (personality, flaws, & backstories) & rom-com!
There's side characters' POV's but not draggy.
Breezy read and not heavy in mystery department stuff, so you won't get lost reading.

**Edit: The current novel cover changed? So I guess my opinions on it don't match up since I was reviewing the swan ballerina cover >.<"... more>> and prefer that one much more.

Longer version - there's no spoilers but under the spoilers

And the novel cover is absolutely gorgeous. (Though I thought it was a ballerina novel based on the cover so a tad confusing luckily the title easily clears up what this novel is about.) -------- Edit: The current cover isn't my style; it's nice since it's fanwork, but not as professional as the ballerina one

Also the translation is fantastic~

I love how the relationship grows and has it's ups and downs. And a well paced rom-com, not a long wait to get to the sweet moments.

I enjoyed both the MC's and ML's their own backstories that helps explains their personalities and flaws which makes the characters memorable.... but also these backstories ends driving parts of the stories, and connect the story overall.
There are side character POV's (the ghosts') but they don't drag on, and help unravel the mysteries.

This novel is not heavy in the mystery department, which I'm relieved about. I'm a reader who doesn't think much while reading and won't sit down to solve mysteries on my own, and if I get lost it's a deal breaker. But this is a pretty fluid and solid story~

Don't let the title throw you off, this book is highly enjoyable and well written. The translation is well done and really captures the adorableness of this book.

The characters are likable and the dialogue snappy. The narration is lively and easily brings to mind the imagery of the story. While I was reading it I kept imagining it as a live-action program in my head, and literally thought: "This has to have been converted to a live action." If it hasn't, it would be a shame.

I highly recommend you read... more>> it, you shouldn't be disappointed you did. <<less

From all the novels I have read so far, I like this novel, because it was unique. It's plots is one of the kind. Not overused. Maybe I can say these things because I haven't read a novel with similar plots.

I am looking forward for its updates.

This novel is about young woman who able to see ghost. I find the story funny and interesting to reading. The interaction between the main characters are hilarious and sweet. I liked how the MC try to solve the problem in the story. I found the stories that MC involved with are very interesting. I am patiently waiting for more update on this novel. Can't wait to know what is the ending like. Thank you for the translating of this novel.

Um.. The story is really interesting but the MC is hella annoying, personally think her IQ is below the "lower-than-average" spectrum because she is DUMB! Her decisions are based on what you'd expect a person with little to no intelligence would make. BUT her redeeming features is.. Her ability to see ghosts and her interaction with ML. The romance is good tho and the plot in general, just the MC..
This is a good read.

So far it's a great story. It consists of a slow romance between two awkward main leads, it has mystery, sarcasm, suspense and ghosts, as well as plenty of romcom moments. The story is devided into smaller arcs, each consisting of an individual mystery/problem related to the lingering resentment of a particular ghost. I will say that there are some moments that might trigger people, like suicide and murder, but even those types of scenarios are not overused or used in bad taste. Overall it's a great novel and I... more>> am looking forward to more chapters! <<less

Somehow it was a little unexpected for this novel to also turn out to be a romantic comedy?? With snappy slapstick humor too! I'm definitely not complaining because holy sh*t it's f**king hilarious but I just needed to reorient some of my views lol. It definitely doesn't skimp on the ghost stuff though, if that's what you're here for. I would say the atmosphere is similar to Shinrei Tantei Yakumo or Ghost Hunt.

EDIT: After reading to the end, I think I have to subtract a full star. The ending arc... more>> is so abrupt? Too much timeskip shenanigans crammed into a small space; I wish the author had kept up with the atmosphere that was the first 3/4 of the novel. The last arc also lost the horror aspect and most of the ghost stuff that I liked; the investigation aftermath was glazed over. All in all, a disappointing way to end a really fun/tragic/touching novel. If y'all were here for the romance only though, it was okay. FINAL RATING: 4 STARS

HOWEVER don't let this discourage you from reading!!!!! The translation quality is top-notch and I still firmly believe that the positive half of my review absolutely applies to the everything sans the last arc!!! <<less

I was one of those people who put off reading because of the description left a lot to be desired. After the first few chapter I knew it was the one for me. Though seriously the main character is pretty funny and relatable besides the seeing ghosts thing. The male love interest is funny and he doesn't have to try. He's also unintentionally sauve.

At first I was hesitant to start this novel as I usually wouldn't go for a horror novel, especially when it involved ghosts. But the comedy in this novel is so natural and hilarious it just drew me in (sure it has the horror tag but the MC's personality is so full of life that it doesn't bother me. I do wonder how I will react to when the horror comes into full play though). The interactions between the characters feel genuine and not something slapped together just for the... more>> sake of interaction between the MC and the other characters.

Overall a very solid novel that I certainly look forward to continue reading. I highly recommend this novel to those who want to try something new. Don't let the genre stop you from missing out on such a well executed novel. <<less

Honestly, I do not really like horror themes but this novel really sparks my interest to read novels of this genre. Not only are the horror parts really well written, it also contains some humor which kind of give a refreshing taste instead of just a bland horror novel. Id recommend this to everyone even though it has a female MC which isn't as common but this is tiers above generic Chinese novels or horror stories in general

I'll have to admit this was one of those series that I hesitated to start, but when I finally started reading it I was pleasantly surprised and read all that was available in one sitting. Modern-set C-novels so often have all-powerful, womanizer male leads and timid, to-stupid-to-live females who constantly bicker and fight with other female characters about things that don't matter in the slightest to the overarching plot. In this novel (so far), I've experienced none of that (thank goodness).

The female lead is likable, and I can relate to... more>> her emotionally. Plus, here's my favorite part, she shows just the right level of sass for me. The male lead is so socially awkward and innocent that I find him endearing. The interactions between the two have so far been hilarious and seem promising in the romantic chemistry department.

When it comes to the ghost aspect of the novel, I enjoy the fact that the female lead is not overbearingly powerful. Nothing bores me more than a character with no challenges and no room for growth, and she experiences both of these. I'm not usually into supernatural or crime-type stories, but I rather like the way her powers are put into play. Although this does involve solving crimes, these elements haven't been too heavy or depressing. The humorous elements of the main characters' relationship have been more than enough to lighten up the story after the occasional dark moments so far.

As for the plot and characters of the novel, it's not up there with the great classics of the century, but I find it very pleasant to read. If a novel can make me smile, giggle, and facepalm along with the trials and tribulations of its characters I consider it a good book. I urge other people who've been on the fence about this one to give it a try. It is a bit confusing in the first several chapters, but once it gets into full swing it flows much more naturally and I believe it would appeal to a great many people. <<less

Interesting and different story. Mae lead himself is an author with good education and success. Well our female lead is doing ok ok with life because of her dim wit and supernatural power of seeing ghosts. Story revolves around domineering boss who troubles our female lead with work, however the love between them is what you love. Its like something which happens between all the couples. You will enjoy how ghost problems are solved and how how our female lead overcomes obstacles. Give a try

It's a light reading novel with a small touch of romance and lots of comedy in it. The story was pretty flat (it's pretty light!) so this is a good one to read when you just want to pass through times.

Characters are pretty unique, have not read anything with otaku preference so it's pretty refreshing :) The female lead was a "normal" girl who just wants to live a peaceful life but due to her extra skills and her cannot-not-get-involved character, her life is becoming more colorful.

There is not much... more>> drama happening and if there is one, it's solved in short time period (within 2-3 chapters). Recommended to read this while having your coffee in the morning :) <<less

I always has liked MC that can see ghost, better if is a mistery story (thought I hate when it becomes a horror story), this is one of the few works that are of my taste, without being an horror story has ghost and mistery so 5 stars because there isn't a lot of stories like this.
