Su Qiubai was your ordinary taxi driver in the city. Bored, lonely and with a dog as his only companion, life couldn’t be any more dull for him. However, that all changed when his taxi’s navigator spoke to him. Now everyday has become an adventure!

With the ability to fight crime (and preserve justice) and travel through space-time in order to complete his tasks, there was one common thing people questioned: Who is Su Qiubai? What will he do? What will he achieve?

There is only one way to find out!

On one hand, the MC *isn't* as psychopathic as most Chinese web novels with any fighting in them. I also may not like his actions at times, but he follows an internally consistent moral code and feel human enough, so that basic hurdle is passed. It's sad that this is worth praising, but considering the crap on this site... eh.

On the other hand... the story leans on cliche and painfully nonsensical Chinese WN tropes to facilitate 'conflict'. Like random people attempting to humiliate the MC - a complete stranger -... more>> for basically no reason, attempting to *murder* someone because you lost face by losing in a car race, attempting to humiliate someone because they didn't debase themselves for you when they first meet you (seriously, what is *with* China?), foreigners almost universally being treated like psychos while the MC and his allies/friends/family are the 'good underdogs who fight for justice in the world'...

To add to that, there's zero moral complexity or any real depth to the action - there are good guys (the MC's side), and there are bad guys (basically every antagonist in every arc, and who are more caricatures than people), and that's it.

It's not *complete* crap, but that's really damning with faint praise. Maybe something to read when there's nothing else to do, I suppose. <<less

Wow, this novel is unexpectedly good. The weird picture and synopsis really keep me away from this gem for months. So glad I check this one out. If you're looking for time traveling taxi driver with a few laughter here and there then this is for you.

Just try a few chapter, you won't regret it.

I’ve read countless stories on this site to the point where I just cannot read mediocre stories anymore. I lose interest quickly. I only have about 2 stories that I follow regularly now. So you can imagine how happy I was when I found this story.

It’s a 4.3+ rating story for sure. A great combination of the trademark Chinese humor as well as a healthy dose of drama. The MC is a simple man who abides by his set of morals. If you’re looking for a ruthless and opportunistic MC... more>> this isn’t the right story. But if you’re looking for a story you can get a good laugh out of and read the occasional touching scenes then I would highly recommend this story. <<less

The cover photo looks a bit creepy, but the novel is actually pretty good. It's basically a system novel and so far so good. Only read 40+ chapters but his growth hasn't been exaggerated and there hasn't been too much repetition in the storyline, so I have been able to binge through at a nice pace.
