System: Han Yanyan, you have been chosen to quickly transmigrate between worlds. What gold finger cheat would you like? You can ask for one here.

Han Yanyan: If the world is peaceful and prosperous, I’d want to be rich and beautiful. If it is a dangerous world, then I’d want to be strong.

System: Sorry. Your conditions cannot be met.

Then why did you bother asking?! (╯ `□ ‘) ╯(┻━┻

First thanks to the first translator for being this novel into other's awareness and thank you to the current translator and their great translations and for not giving up even tho their work might be pirated.

Second, if you've read many transmigration novels like me this novel is like a breath of fresh air.

not only do we get a relatively more detailed world building and mystery, this novel focused more on the more overreaching plot of how the MC came to be in the transmigration space but also why she is... more>> sent to do the various missions and how are the worlds connected.

I would recommend this novel to anyone looking for character development of the MC that doesn't take too long (maybe even a lil too fast) and those who like mysteries especially when a lot of transmigration novels tend to gloss over the past and just dumps the MC into random worlds.

edit: my god some of the foreshadowing in this novel holy shit

Spoiler

I'm kinda confused why Leo started telling her everything tho, maybe I should just keep reading but it feels really suddenly and ooc.

Also the mood changed so quickly because it totally felt like the dude threatening Leo was literally gonna kill him if he says anything out of line. But now Leo is spilling everything and even telling MC about him being threatened like what? Maybe I just missed smth cuz my mandarine sucks, please enlighten me if I missed anything.

[collapse]

further spoilers around 130?

Spoiler

god I f*cking hate Leo, he's a true incel AND NO IM SO SAD ABOUT THE SYSTEM but at the same time I want the MC to be truly free of everything no contact at all, I think the author probably killed him off cuz they want to give her a legitimate reason of why she wants to kill Leo cuz all those years really diluted her feeling or something, idk kinda confused abt why the author did that but oh well

[collapse]

logical and pretty satisfactory ending for me at least <<less

This novel revolves around Han Yanyan, a human from Earth who was abducted by an advanced Alien mad genius who had been scavenging for signs of an "Architect" or world builder for his clients in different parts of space. Basically he found her creative and imaginative brain to conjure and construct realistic setups for his "dead" clients to shock their brains into revival. The first two to three clients take up majority of the story, for good reason. They help us understand what her situation was like and how she... more>> dealt with different characters and goals. For the most part, expect angst in pretty much all her world arcs. That's the reason she was kidnapped after all. Initially she has difficulty extracting herself from the roles she played, but gradually, she became accustomed to being an actress. Unfortunately, she also learned how to become a cruel and coldhearted person because she wouldn't otherwise be able to continue her job with her clients who are also on the spectrum of coldblooded monsters. You can see her going from emotionally weak to mentally strong. Tragically, even with all she's learned and the strong mindset she has engrained through experiences, she has no way to escape her circumstances (only her mind exists; her body has been held captive), and
Spoiler

though she has attempted once to escape, it ended in failure.

Definitely a wild ride. I wasn't expecting to cry even though I know the ending was somewhat

tragic

Read a lot of spoilers from others here. But then lo and behold, I was actually a bit touched from the later chapters (esp the one related to the Han Yanyan recreating the zombie world and what she did to help the people there and also, the mother chapter.) To be honest, all of the worlds she's been in, there's always an angsty story, but some are just more touching than others.

Each of her story arcs were believable and character development realistic. It has been an entertaining novel for sure. However, I wasn't too sure about the ending.
Spoiler

It's really open-ended; we don't know if Li Zhou will ever spring back, but I did see an extra excerpt at the end where we see a completely alternative life for the mad scientist when his mother didn't abuse him and encouraged him to pursue creation of AIs...I'm thinking he was transferred into virtual reality machine after he was killed, a fitting end for him if true. Han Yanyan will try to catch him off guard by playing his mom in the virtual world and see how he was able to create AI Li Zhou. Then once she understands how to create Li Zhou, she can recreate him in reality while making her captor relive 1000+ years of terror similar to what she's been through.

Another loophole for me, though, is that I couldn't believe that out of thousands of world arcs she's created, she didn't manage to get anyone else to try and save her? She put all her eggs into one basket that's Yao? I mean the guy's an obstinate fellow, so it might be harder for him to remember her. But the other clients could be more weak willed/emotionally involved and actually remember her quicker. That part I also find tragic.

Truly a rollercoaster. The plot was intriguing and kept me on the edge.

I definitely felt the angst after finishing the story.

Loved the fleshed-out characters and setting. Mtl was fairly easy.

Its so sad. So bittersweet. I found it very challenging to read at multiple occasions but I loved it. The author's complex ingenuity is a breath of fresh air from the typical QT stories, especially chinese novels. I really really loved it. 5⭐ novel.

Idk, I’m dropping this.

Revolutionary whatever, but the writing is really flat. Good story should evoke the emotion, yet I can’t feel anything to the end of the first arc... more>>
Spoiler

(or second ark since the first one failed)

[collapse]

I was still holding on since I wanna know how the author gonna wrap it up, but it’s really disappointing.
Spoiler

The tragedy and betrayal at the end should be emphasized but it was finished in just a single pharagraph.

[collapse]

Maybe this don’t suit me much, but I think the point of QT is the ingenuity of each life, but this novel focuses more on the mystery of system and don’t really focus on what happen in the transmigration lives.

so it’s 3 stars for me <<less

Quite a complex read, it has very sensitive topics and characters also the development of these characters all these things are written very well the world building could be explored a bit more but other then that the story and characters, be it good or bad are very well depicted and explained. This novel is mature and unique even though the story itself is not uncommon but it still gives the feeling of being more than just an ordinary quick transmigration.

This story as such is mature or at times abit... more>> disturbing, but if those who can read these despite that or even those who wants to read but are hesitant because of such sensitive content, I would say they should go ahead a read this book because the author doesn't sugarcoat nor make something that is heinous into something bearable and many has said the ending is tragic or sad but I think from the moment we started to understand where this story is going, this ending is truly the best because it actually shows "how an ending is never truly an ending and the world is vast and full of possibilities". <<less

Holy hell, this is just about the most mind-blowing, tragic, yet empowering system novel that I have ever read, even though I had to fight through confusing MTL for the last half. (The translation is great, btw, and I sent the translator money via kofi for it). Seeing Han Yanyan grow over time, fight past despair to basically win her freedom, and lose the person she loved (and was loved by) the most in order to finally be her own woman was sad, exhilarating, and epic all at once. Absolutely... more>> everything in this story feels fresh and unique and interesting and I just loved it to pieces. Highly recommended if you want to read a story that is FAR from any of the cliches in the genre! <<less

Woah.... it was intense. This novel is amazing, just amazing. The growth, the development, the characters was so perfect to the point of real. If I could I would have given it a 100 stars.

I think the description doesn't match the whole story at all. It's a novel that would make you scream in anger, howl in anguish, cry in sadness. It's a reality from the perspective of those who have seen the cruel world.

Many times I wanted to refute its gener or its name. But after reading the whole... more>> novel, I realize although the name and genre don't matter, its not far from it either. The novel was like a journey to me where I dislike the road but still didn't hate the whole ride. Rather, I loved it.

I don't understand what goes on those people's head who gave it a one star. All I can think is they don't have a heart. A person with heart will never dislike such a story.

Anyway, people who want to read it, have a week off before start reading it. Because once you start, you'll be so hooked that you won't be able to stop yourself from completing it. I was surprised to find that the author of 'dodder flower' and this is the same. But I don't like dodder flower at all. No matter how much I try, I still and will forever hate that hateful novel. <<less

10/5 Not one of my favorite but I love it.

Han Yanyan did everything she could and I must say, she did it very well. She never gave up, really commendable.

This is not the typical Quick Transmigration with romance and happy ending. It's not tragic but it's sad. The last few chapters made me feel the thrill of her struggling fight for freedom, the sadness of losing someone special (I won't say who) and the feeling of desolation.

If you want a different unique kind of QT, then you should try it.... more>> It's unlike the typical dying then got connected to a system to revive. If I remember wrong, she's killed deliberately then kidnapped by that scientist.

(I read the remaining chapters in the raw, then just used Google auto-translation. MTL is readable).

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Unless you want romance.

What a good novel! Excellent even!

The FL is a strong and determained person, although not strong at the beginning, you get to see her turn into a strong woman with amazing IQ

Theres no ML (kinda) in this novel and the tragedy tag is not just for show 😭 Absolutely loved the story and characters and feel like 5 stars is well deserved

A not-so-typical QT novel. Give it a chance if you're up for something to binge read. At first, I thought it was the same ol' dog blood drama, but there's actually a convincing impetus that drives the entire story. It's an exhilirating and engaging read.

I love this so much. Han Yanyan is the best quick transmigrator I've ever met. Even her progression from weak to strong, from naive to cold blooded is amazing.

I love every arc and her strategy to end it. It has an HE but I get why it's tragedy. Even if

I would still agree it's a tragedy.

I would love to read this again once all chapters are translated. I think this novel will be my standard for every other quick/transmigration I will ever read.

This novel is beautifully unique. The QT was not the standard QT the MC would choose the plot of her 'world' and would reuse characters or settings she wouldn't raid for love but to make them hate and become stimulated to awaken the ML.
Spoiler

The MC shows finds loopholes at any chance she gets to counterattack against the 'villain scientist' Leo Parker kidnapper of builder Han Yanyan, which we find out isn't the MC's name but is surnamed Li. This is important because she names the system 2.0 who has gained life awareness 'Li Zhou'. When Leo reformatted him the "he" who had cared for and cherished her when she was abandoned and alone for thousands of years was lost forever and she grieved keeping her promise to see the stars although she only has the systems body (the ship). The ML Tonk Bernat missed his timing, he remembered the FL too late by the time he tried to rescue her she had already suffered too much and her original fighting will had been nearly whittled away by the years. She had also lost too much in the relationship, she was alway one-sidedly carrying all of the burden. I felt for the villain Leo as well who despite his high IQ was willing to be tricked again and again to have some recognition and love. He had been abused by his mother and secluded from society due to his choices and ego. He was a very gullible villain all the way, an otaku at the core.

[collapse]
It was more of a tragedy and the FL had several male interests.

Han Yanyan is our MC.

She is their defibrillator.

The whole theme layout pretty much in the beginning. The endgame is her freedom. The episodic setting of the simulation worlds make it seem like quick transmigration. She is the builder of the sim world not by choice.

At first she fumbled through it with naivety but soon with experiences she is becoming better.

The story is heavy because of what she needs to do.

The stronger shock/emotion that have a lasting impression is negative emotion/shock. She does everything she needs to do to be a defibrillator to these clients.

The showdown at the end while it’s magnificent it left me with sour feeling. I couldn’t help but curse “God dam it”.

This book is a gem. I hope the translator finish this gem. It will leave you a lasting impression.

This is an amazing novel. The way the main character evolves, how she creates her worlds, the realization of the deep stereotypes we all subconsciously hold that affect our lives... the value of life, how precious it us, even if it's virtual.

I'll admit, I was into it first because of the snusnu. But it becomes much more than that as the plot progresses.

2. As long as you push through the first few chapters- this no el is binge worthy

... more>> 3. Although my literary tastes have changed somewhat in the past few years since I’ve discovered mtl and asian translated novels for myself, this is probably the best book I’ve read to date.

4. the plot, world building, philosophy, and so on... and the way the emotions are pictured in a weirdly realistic way and ironic too...

When I first saw this novel I thought it would be same as any other QT novels I've read. The op FL who will meet another op ML who's obsessed with her and follows her to every world. Well... the FL is op and the ML does appear in every world but this novel it goes so deep. Especially the characters. Each and everyone of them is unique with their own story. And the complexity of them just amaze me. The transformation our FL yanyan goes through is both admirable... more>> and heartwrenching to read.

from a weak and normal woman to a ice cold goddess who seems to have reached a wisdom beyond the reach of any ordinary woman.

Spoiler

especially the duke. From being indifferent to normal civilians he in the end ultimately decided not to sacrifice the people in order to win the war

The reviews says it all. This novel is not for the weak hearted. Man, my heart is still broken as I write this.

Novel description is deceiving. It's not about gold fingers at all. This is about MC struggle for freedom. The novel portrayed that so well. MC's growth is palpable every arc.

Arc 1 is like a tutorial, full of confusion.

... more>> Arc 2 really really set the tone. That ending was such a curveball and I knew I was in for a lot of pain.

The rest of the arcs followed up faithfully. The last transmigration Arc, I really think, is perfection. It's just calm and peaceful, highly contrasting the previous arcs while not being out of place at all. It's just right.

Ahhh it's very well written novel. I haven't had a novel with actual planning from start to finish in a while. I'd like to thank the author for the pleasure, and translator for the introduction. <<less
